We didn’t actually stay in this space. When we checked into the space we found someone’s things were already in the house. We called the owner and they said they would have to investigate. Later that evening they called and said the other people had been given the code to our room as well as their room. They decided to stay in ours. The owner asked if we wanted them to ask the other people to leave or if we wanted to stay in their space. That put us in an awkward position so, we just agreed to move. Upon entering the other space later that evening, we found that there wasn’t any heat. It was 47 degrees in the room. The wall the little space heater was supposed to be plugged into didn’t have power so we plugged it in on the other side of the room. However, after just a few minutes, the power in the entire place went out. We again contacted the owners who told us where the power box was located. After flipping switches, the power was restored. We unplugged the refrigerator as it was on that same wall. That lasted a few minutes before the power in that wall went out. We moved the little heater back to the original wall that now had power and wiggled the fuse box again but, never got the other heater going. The temperature never went above 55 degree throughout the night. We left the next morning and asked for a refund. We received one night of a two night stay minus a cleaning fee and the VRBO fee.
