About this property
Million dollar listing: Chelsea, 100% walkability score
This Chelsea stunner is a luxe oasis of quiet in a bustling after your day of the excitement (and noise) of nyc. You will be staying in a1910 brick brownstone architectural on one of Chelsea’s most beautiful, tree-lined streets. Location, location, location. You will be an easy walk to the art galleries of Chelsea, West Chelsea, the Highline, the meatpacking district (where “sex and the city” was filmed,) Gramercy Park, and Greenwich Village . You will be two or three minute walk from almost every subway from.
The apartment is a floor through, which runs the length of the building. The front windows overlook the street from the second level and the backyard overlooks green space.
.The living room has a comfortable/sleep-able 8 foot sofa and a working fireplace. The lighting is designed for this space, there is a rotating art collection and built-in desk and bookshelves. There are two smart TVs, fully loaded, in both the living room and the bedroom. Speedy Wi-Fi is a must.
The kitchen and cabinetry were also custom designed for the space. If you cook, the kitchen is fully stocked with every manner of kitchen, utensil, cookware and spice.
When you pass through the kitchen, there will be a bathroom, p with a rainwater shower-head and bathtub. The apartments well stocked with everything bed Bath and beyond will need for you stay. Every new guest gets their own sheets and towels, abundantly.
The bedroom is special. In addition to being dead, quiet, there is a workspace overlooking a Zen garden and trees. The backyard faces another backyard, which happens almost never. The bedroom has a super comfortable bed, equipped with a new a Tempur-pedic a temper mattress, ample pillows and linens, which are replaced regularly. If you’ve ever stayed at a rental for a week, and been left with two threadbare towels, this is the opposite of that.
OK, that was the best I could do writing copy about the apartment. I live there part time. It’s my favorite apartment in New York, and I’m keeping it forever. Hi, i’m Paddington, like the storybook polite bear. That’s a nickname, but most of my friends actually call me that, especially in New York.
I was Nomadic before that was a thing. I started as a lawyer, and then a comedy writer, than more things that but I can remember. I’ve mostly lived in LA, then New York, back and forth now New York…and Mexico. Puerto Vallarta and Mexico City. I lived in Sydney Australia for 10 years, so I can speak Australian English, if need be.
I love hosting. I almost always fly back from wherever I am to greet the guests and make sure the apartment is perfect. If I am not able to be true, I will make sure that you know everything you need to know about the apartments before you arrive. There’s nothing difficult or tricky about it, but I will always be available, typically immediately, should you have any questions… About anything.
I really like the idea that someone, who picks this rental It’s going to have a it’s going to have an excellent rental experience. That is not always the case. When I’m forced to stay in a hotel for a few nights and my place i
it’s typically around 500 bucks a night or in book an apartment, my experience of really been great. I am assured that you would love this apartment as much as I do, and it will enhance your New York City experience.
I require quiet to sleep. That excessive noise is an issue for you come you’ve come to the right place. So, if you have an issue with noise. The apartment an oasis of calm after a day or evening in the bustling city.
I’ll be your host. Cleaning service comes complementary, including one visit every two weeks, if you are so inclined. Just ask. My assistant/cleaner/Spanish teacher, Claudia, from Peru, is delightful and impeccable.
This is a great apartment and a great location, and I do my best to provide a five star experience. Since I travel constantly, I know that’s staying in a hotel in an apartment with something of this, or that to meet your expectations, it’s an unwelcome surprise. That one experience will not happen here. This apartment has over over 250 five star reviews on another platform.
Thanks for reading. That was exhausting. It’ll probably get longer. Inquiries welcome, particularly those contain the word “unicorn.“
The location is everything. You’re walking difference distance to 100 bars, restaurants, shops, art galleries are steps from your front door. The major subway lines on seventh and eighth Avenue are a two or three minute walk. Time Square is two stops on the subway from the nearby A/C/E on Eighth Ave.
Since I’m living here again, I’m happy to provide you with any current information of interest. My hosting style is friendly, with with intention of having this be your favorite nyc short term listing.
Randomly: the apartment has a lot of storage space. I clear it out when guests come to stay. The building is small with 10 floor through apartments, two units per floor. Even if you stay a month, it’s unlikely you will see anyone who lives in the building… Ever.

About the host
Your host

I love hosting. It makes me happy to know that whoever my guests are, will be having a great stay because they found a really good apartment! I’m Nomadic before that was a thing. I’m recovering lawyer, then comedy writer, then lots of other things..I’m living in New York, Palm Springs, Puerto Vallarta and Mexico City. Glad to talk about any of it!
Why they chose this property
I’ve lived in many New York neighborhoods, I’m a native New Yorker and a city boy, this is my favorite neighborhood. It’s walking distance to many good neighborhoods, and crawling distance from 100 bars, restaurants, art, galleries, etc., etc. etc. it’s popular for tourists, but it’s a remarkably quiet neighborhood on a residential tree-lined street.
What makes this property unique
Quiet. Shh!
