NO PARTIES OR EVENTS ARE ALLOWED AT THE PROPERTY.
BOOKING GUEST MUST BE PRESENT AT CHECK-IN TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE HOME AND MUST REMAIN ON-SITE DURING THE STAY. BOOKING GUEST IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF OTHER GUESTS AND VISITORS AT THE HOME.
ANY RESERVATION OBTAINED UNDER FALSE PRETENSE WILL BE SUBJECT TO FORFEITURE OF ADVANCE PAYMENT, DEPOSIT AND/OR RENTAL MONEY, AND THE PARTY WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CHECK-IN.
NO COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY OR FILMING IS PERMITTED ON THE PROPERTY UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN PRIOR PERMISSION BY CLEMSON VACATION RENTALS.
QUIET HOURS
Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. Our homes are in neighborhoods that have full-time residents so please be courteous with parking, outside activities, lights and noise. Our property's quiet hours are 10PM-8:00AM and are in place to ensure that everyone can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. No sound amplification systems including but not limited to speakers and amplifiers are allowed inside or outside of the home. We care a lot about maintaining good relationships with our community, so we appreciate you following our house rules and community regulations during your stay.
PAYMENT
50% is due at the time of booking. We accept most major credit cards through our online payment portal. The final 50% balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. If a credit card is used, the balance will automatically be charged to the card provided UNLESS Clemson Vacation Rentals is informed of an alternative method of payment PRIOR to 30 days of arrival. All reservations require an additional 4% payment processing fee. Due dates for payment will be outlined in the confirmation sent at time of booking.
If you're staying at one of our pet friendly homes and bringing your pet on vacation, then a $250 Pet Fee will be applied to your reservation. This fee is non-refundable and allows for up to two dogs to stay at the home. If you bring a pet and don't pay the Pet Fee then your credit card will be charged a $500 fine.
Guests must sign this Rental Agreement at the time of booking in order to secure the reservation. Agreements can be completed online, emailed, or mailed.
CANCELLATIONS
If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact us right away. Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will be refunded to you in the same form it was received minus any applicable booking fee, a cancellation fee of $100.00 and travel insurance if purchased. Otherwise, you won't get a refund.
Please note that there are no exceptions to the cancellation rules due to unfortunate circumstances such as, but not limited to, weather, illness, medical emergency or death. There is no refund for early departure on any property. We strongly encourage you to purchase CSA Trip insurance which is available to purchase at the time of booking to cover you in the event of trip cancellations.
GENERALI TRAVEL PROTECTION
Vacation Rental Insurance has been made available with your reservation. Vacation Rental Insurance provides coverage for the loss of prepaid, nonrefundable expenses due to certain unforeseeable circumstances that may jeopardize your vacation investment and force you to incur unplanned expenses. We strongly recommend you purchase this valuable protection. Separate terms and conditions apply, read your Description of Coverage/Policy carefully and contact Generali Global Assistance at (866) 999-4018 with coverage questions.
BACKGROUND CHECK:
Clemson Vacation Rentals utilizes a third-party company, SafelyStay, Inc., to complete background checks on all guests prior to rental. This background check is required as part of the booking process and a reservation is not confirmed until the background check is completed.
I give permission to SafelyStay, Inc., to screen my identity, and check criminal databases in order to confirm my reservation. Complete terms regarding Safely’s guest screening can be found at www.safely.com/terms. You may receive an email from Concierge@Safely.com to complete your screening. ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE:
ALL ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE MUST BE REPORTED TO CLEMSON VACATION RENTALS BEFORE GUEST DEPARTURE TO QUALIFY FOR PROTECTION.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
The use of glitter, confetti, silly string, or similar materials is strictly prohibited within the property. Any violation of this policy will result in an additional cleaning fee of $500, which will be charged to the guest. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain the quality and cleanliness of our property.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Check in time is 4PM. Check out time is 11AM.
Early arrival and late departure may be requested at the time of booking or before arrival. This option is based on availability and may require additional rental payment. Guests are not to arrive at the property prior to check in time unless given previous confirmation of an early check in. Hold overs will be charged on an hourly rate.
SMOKING
There is no smoking or vaping/e-cigarette use allowed in any of our homes. If you smoke outside please do so at the appropriate distance from the home and dispose of your cigarette materials appropriately. If anyone smokes inside the home, then such is a violation of this Guest Reservation Contract and constitutes grounds for immediate termination and eviction. You will also be subject to a minimum $500.00 additional cleaning fee.
SMOKE DETECTORS & CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS
Please check to see if the detectors are working and call us immediately if they are not so we can replace them. Batteries can die at any time and we want you to have a safe stay with us.
FIREPLACE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR GUEST USE
The fireplace is NOT in use and guests should not attempt to use it.
NECESSITIES/AMENITIES
Clemson Vacation Rentals will provide a starter kit of supplies for each property (toilet paper, paper towels, detergent-if home has a washer and dryer, bed linens, pillows, kitchen towels, bath towels, dish soap and dish washer soap). There is no cleaning service included during the rental of any property. If the guest wishes to have cleaning services during their stay, Clemson Vacation Rentals will be happy to make such arrangements at the expense of the guest.
KEY CODES
All Clemson Vacation Rentals vacation homes have a key-less entry system. You will be given your code at check-in time (4PM) via text or booking platform message. The code will not work until 4 pm on the day of your arrival and will deactivate shortly after 11 am on the day of your departure. If you need a little extra time for departure, or if you are arriving earlier than 4 pm, please let us know and we’ll try to accommodate you if we can.
GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES AND DEPARTURES
Please lock all windows and doors on your way out. Please bag all trash (including bathroom trash) and place outside in the appropriate receptacle. If you are staying at a home with a kayak or paddle board, please be sure to return them in a way that rain water will not collect in the vessel. If you would like to give our cleaners a hand, here are some items you can help with:
1. Clean your items out of the refrigerator and freezer.
2. Clean all used dishes or place in the dishwasher and start the load using the gel or tabs under the sink. Please include the coffee pot and filter basket.
3. Place all used towels on the bathroom floor.
4. Leave TV remotes on the coffee tables.
LAKE USE
It is the Guest’s responsibility to learn about safety precautions, warning signs of water conditions and safety procedures concerning swimming in or being around the lake. Guest agrees to have a responsible adult supervising minors while they swim in the lake or are outside, AT ALL TIMES.
Guest is hereby notified that the lake can be dangerous and Guest fully accepts the risks involved. There is no lifeguard on duty. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. Guest is further notified to be cautious when exiting or entering the lake because the surrounding surfaces may become slippery and present slipping hazards. There are no rails or barriers to prevent a fall into the lake.
Please dry off before re-entering the house.
Do not sit on bed swing or any furniture wet, with sunscreen on or any dirt or clay on you.
These precautions and the Lake Safety Rules (below) apply to the use of the property and the lake.
LAKE SAFETY RULES:

NO RUNNING
NEVER SWIM ALONE.
ALL MINORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT 18 YEARS OR OLDER.
RECOGNITION OF RISK: Guest expressly acknowledges that use of the lake and property has inherent risks of injury to persons and property. GUEST IS AWARE OF THOSE RISKS AND UNDERSTAND THEM. Guest acknowledges that PFD’s (Lifejackets) ARE REQUIRED TO BE WORN BY ALL GUESTS WHILE USING THE LAKE PROPERTY. Guest understands that use of a PFD does not remove all risks of injury; nor does PFD use make Lake use a safe activities. Guest alone has determined the sufficiency of any safety gear or other precautions that Guest decides to take to minimize the risks of the activity. No party related to the Manager, including Owner and Employees, has made any representations regarding safety of, or the risks of, lake use. GUEST EXPRESSLY ASSUMES THE RISKS OF LAKE USE.
PLEASE REFER TO THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD GUIDANCE ON SELECTING APPROPRIATE PFDS.
INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS
Guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the owner and Clemson Vacation Rentals and its officers, directors, agents and employees of and from any and all claims, causes of action, damage, lawsuits, judgments, including attorneys fees, and costs, arising out of, relating to, or in connection with the reservation and/or use occupancy or rental of the home or property specified in this Guest Reservation Contract.
