About the host

I visited Vermont as a teenager and fell in love with the beautiful mountains, knowing I one day would return to live here full time. I finally moved to the beautiful SW corner of the state & have been redoing houses on my down time. As I was redoing this property, it became evident that its tranquil, bucolic setting and the flow of the homes floor plan needed to be shared with others. I decided to open my doors to guests recently. Just with the first few bookings, my guests were all telling me how special the property was and how grateful they were to have found such a peaceful getaway.

Why they chose this property

The house is 15 minutes to Williamstown, MA and 10 minutes to downtown Main St in Bennington. Its proximity to local museums, colleges, hiking trails, restaurants, and ski slopes makes it a perfect location to stay.

What makes this property unique

The property was part of old farmland. It offers a wooded forest that abuts a stream to the east, rolling hills to the west side of the property, and a level backyard with Adirondack chairs & fire pit. Here you can enjoy colorful skies in the morning, to incredible sunsets that turn to pitch black skies with brilliant, glistening stars by evening.
