Located in the heart of Sapulpa, The Hobson House is a large historic home just 1 block off Route 66. Originally built by the owner of the local lumberyard, this home carries a lot of history & charm. They built the house for themselves & the 2 apts upstairs for traveling teachers that needed a place to stay. Overall, the house has 3 apts, all w/private entrances. There is 1 larger apt downstairs & 2 smaller apts upstairs, along with a common sitting area in the front & a laundry room in back.
Apartment B is located upstairs at The Hobson House. It features 2 bedrooms & 1 bathroom with a full kitchen & eating area. Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed with a walk-in closet. Bedroom 2 has a Full bed with a sitting area. There is a twin bed tucked away in the living room area.
The fully stocked kitchen has everything you should need, including a Keurig coffee maker & snacks. There is a small eating area with a dining table that seats 4. A smart tv is provided for you to access all your favorite streaming apps. If you’re feeling nostalgic there is even a DVD player with DVD’s! There is also a domino set, playing cards, UNO & puzzles available for your enjoyment!
Outside you will find a serene sitting area & firepit. You are welcome to use the firepit at your own discretion. Firewood can be provided upon advance request. There is a small area for smoking. Smoking & vaping of any kind is prohibited anywhere inside the house.
We welcome your pets with approval! Bowls are provided for convenience. Please keep all pets off the furniture. We understand messes & shedding happen. Although we are pretty understanding an additional cleaning fee may be accessed if there is an excessive amount of hair or pet stains discovered.
Guest Access
You can enter Apartment B through the front door of the house. Upon entering from the front you will come through a charming sitting area perfect for visiting. This is a common area all guests of the house can access. Through the door there is a hallway that leads to the staircase for the top floor. At the top of the stairs there is a common landing area leading to both private upstairs apartments. Apartment B is located to the right through a private door. All private doors have a coded lock with a programmed code just for you! If you need to do any laundry there is a laundry room around the back of the house that can be accessed through the back door by all guests.
Parking – There are two driveway slots located at the back of the house. There is plenty of parking in front of the house on Linden Street. We ask that you please do not park on the side of the house directly on Hobson. If more parking is needed let us know & we can make arrangements for overflow parking down the street.
Other Things to Note
Please keep in mind this is an older home. It has its quirks & is not perfect. We ask you to please be respectful & understanding. Enjoy the charm & feeling of home it brings!
This is a multifamily property. There are three apartments total. All apartments are secure with their own private access. However, there are a few common areas all guests can use – the front sitting room, the back laundry room & the outside fire pit area. Please be courteous to other guests when interacting in the common areas.
Cameras
There are several EXTERIOR ONLY cameras located on the premises. Located near the front & back door, South side of the house, North side of the house (facing the street), the front of the garage facing the driveway) & at the back of the garage. These are for monitoring purposes only.
Interaction with Guests
We live about 10 minutes from the property & are available any time of day to assist with questions or concerns. We do use the garage for personal use & stop by from time to time to access it. We will not disturb any guests unless you need us for something.
The Hobson House is centrally located in the heart of Sapulpa. Minutes from the downtown revitalization with shopping & restaurants. Just a few blocks away from the famous Route 66 Christmas Chute. It is just 15 minutes from downtown Tulsa & 20 minutes to Tulsa international Airport. The Jenks Aquarium & new outlet mall is about 10 minutes away. The award-winning park, Gathering Place, is also about 15 minutes away. Easy highway access can get you just about anywhere you want to go!
