About this property
Whimsical, restored 100-year-old home, 3 king beds
Experience the charm of this spacious 1920’s 4-bedroom, 1.5-bath home in Pittsburgh! Perfect for families, this 1500 sq. ft. retreat features 3 king beds, 2 queen beds, and classic details like 3 fireplaces, high ceilings, a stained glass window, and a relaxing front porch. Enjoy modern comforts with a newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. Unwind on the cozy window seat in the third floor bedroom. This is your ideal getaway, blending character with modern amenities in a family-friendly setting.
This home is nestled in the charming community of Forest Hills, 15 minutes east of downtown Pittsburgh, PNC Park, Acrisure Stadium (Heniz Field), and PPG Paints Arena, and only 10 minutes from the campuses of Pitt and CMU. With 4 bedrooms and 5 beds, there is plenty of room to accommodate large families or groups.
The covered front porch welcomes you into an expansive entryway with original woodwork and large staircase. From there, you can access the fanciful living room, powder room, and stunningly remodeled kitchen. The dining room with 100-year-old heirloom furniture sits on the back corner of the first floor. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies and spices and boasts an expansive coffee bar with organic whole bean coffee and generous selection of tea.
The main staircase leads to the second floor, displaying 3 uniquely curated bedrooms—each with a king bed. But the luxurious bathroom with walk-in glass shower, free-standing soaking tub, and large marble vanity steals the show. An ample supply of towels and bathing toiletries is provided, as well as a hair dryer.
A second, private staircase further ascends from the second floor hallway to the magical third floor bedroom. Here, there are two queen beds, an invitingly oversized chair, and darling window seat. The warm lighting adds to the feeling of being tucked away amongst the rooftops. For those traveling with children, there is a stash of kids books and games under the window seat.
The back kitchen door, also equipped with electronic lock, leads to a small, second covered porch and back yard. There is private parking for one vehicle in the alley behind the home.
The home is within walking distance of a few restaurants and shops and a host of great options are within a short drive. We’d be happy to provide some recommendations of our favorites!
