About this property

Located in the Wapiti valley, a short drive from the East Gate of Yellowstone and Cody, WY. Cabin has 2 bedrooms (1 with a queen and the other with 2 twins) private bath, living room with comfortable seating and small kitchen with microwave, small refrigerator and coffee pot (there is no stove in the cabin/no kitchenettes). Grilling area located a short walking distance away. This cabin is part of a small guest ranch.
4 GUESTS TOTAL We offer horse back riding, evening camp fires, our own private pond for fishing, hiking out the back door and beautiful mountain views.

"NO COOKING"

When we arrived the place was beautiful outside. When we walked in place look clean. Then I saw it, a sign that said "Absolutely "no" cooking " Now I understood that it would be limited but NO cooking. There is no place to eat locally if you wanted a bagged lunch You had to order it the day before and pay $9 for it. That sign and the miss infor really made the stay negative. you could not even heat something up as there wasn't any dishes. we were in a motel room not a VRBO. I am glad that my Granddaughter was not with us as she has severe allergies and we cook ALL her food. that is one reason we use VRBOs. The next morning when I went to make coffee in the very small pot it was dirty. Then to drink out of a paper cup. I am VERY sorry to write this but, I think it is important. as I said if we would have had my granddaughter with us we would have had to leave.

Beautiful property and cabin

This property and the staff are gems. Cabin we stayed in had beautiful touches with a true feeling of the West. Property was a delight for my 3 year old grandson—from the creek to the pond to petting the animals. You will love your stay here in Wapiti and at this pristine ranch.

Amazing Cabin

This is the perfect place to stay while visiting Yellowstone. The cabin and the ranch it is on are beautiful, with amazing views. The town of Cody nearby is really fun with good restaurants and even a rodeo! The cabin was the perfect size for our family of 4 and was very clean and neat. I wish we had had more time to spend here.

Serene ranch stay

Super seamless arrival and departure. Our cabin was cozy and peaceful. My wife and I were able relax and the kids had endless activities to keep them entertained, including natural surroundings, fishing, hanging with the horses, llamas, and friendly ranch dogs. 100% would recommend and would revisit.

Rand Creek

The location was wonderful as it is about 20 minutes from Cody, Wyoming and then traveling the other direction leads you to the east entrance to Yellowstone. The ranch was well kept and the staff was amazing. There is no tv and no stove, but a full refrigerator and microwave. There is an outdoor grill and fishing pond, as well as a fire pit. Due to high winds we weren’t able to use it. It was so peaceful and quiet. We took an hour long horse ride with a wonderful guide as this is a working horse ranch. Highly recommend. The owners are wonderful!

Cabin with a beautiful view

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The cabin is in a good location between East Yellowstone and Cody WY. We enjoyed multiple day trips to both areas. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Wish we had more time to enjoy the property because there is plenty to see and do right on the ranch. Definitely would stay again when back in the area.

Unique Place, Highly Recommend

My daughter loved the place. They have horses and llamas which my daughter loved and the place was very comfortable and clean. I enjoyed walking around the pond and just the property in general with great Mountain View’s.

Rand Ranch review

We had a great stay at Rand Ranch ! Krystal and Joel were great hosts....very helpful and attentive to our needs. We bought delicious sack lunches that are available on our departure to Yellowstone! The cabin was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. If you are looking for a great place in a beautiful setting, this is the place!

Beautiful view

This is not the exact cabin we stayed in. The owner was great with communication. We stayed in another cabin exactly the same and had a great experience. The view was phenomenal. We enjoyed staying here and unfortunately it was only for 1 night. Our kids loved petting the horses they had. Wish we could’ve stayed longer and done a trail ride with the horses. Will definitely be back to visit this place!

Cozy and relaxing!

Had a great time, looking for a place to enjoy the scenery and get away from crowds. This was a perfect cabin to do that. Hope to come back some day when we can enjoy activities they offered. It was to cool and windy to have a campfire. The breakfast bucket was such a nice surprise each morning.

Beautiful retreat in the mountains

This cabin was perfect! It had everything we wanted and was in a beautiful part right outside of Yellowstone and Cody. Could not have been more happy or comfortable. Can't thank the property enough for keeping us comfy and for the beautiful week we spent.

Ranch - Excellent Cabins

We stayed at Rand Creek Ranch for 5 days in number 1 cabin. What a lovely space we had. Myself & my husband along with my avid angler son. The location was perfect with river access all around. East entrance to Yellowstone not far away and drive to Cody a short distance. Overall the hosts were perfect!! Great service and horse trails for riding. Thank you Krystal & Joel for your hospitality. A place I'd visit again if opportunity arises. Thanks...........

Great People & a Great Place to relax

The Cabin was very nice, but it didn't matter because the property was so nice we spent 99% of our time outside, other than sleeping. Krystal & Joel were great to talk with each night around the campfire. When we get back to Wyoming we will do our best to stay at their cabins again.

Joel and Krystal met in the mountains of Idaho many years ago, and since then the west has always remained a special place. They decided it was time for a life change and to bring their family here to the Northfork of the Shoshone River to where they now call home. They have owned and operated Rand Creek Ranch for the past 15 years!
