The owner is fabulous and the cabin is immaculate!! Everything that everyone has reviewed about the cabin is absolutely true! From the cleanliness to ease of check-in to the amazing views. I would definitely recommend this owner and cabin for future getaways.
Eshay, cabin owner greets you personally upon arrival and shows you the important features you need to know. She also is available and fixes anything needed immediately. Our stay was a great and enjoyable experience!
This property is everything that was promised. Pristine location surrounded by fields and woods filled with birds and flowers and wildlife. The house is rustic but appealing. Clean, with all necessary amenities, and a healthy dose of charm. Recommended!
The house was very clean & welcoming. Living area was compact but comfortable & had everything we needed. The loft is spacious, and there's a table up there for puzzles & games. It's open to the living space, but there's a curtain for privacy. We enjoyed exploring the walking trails. Remote location but only about 20 min to Ithaca. Wish we had more time!
I’m grateful to Eshay for allowing us to stay at her lovely cabin. We had such a great and relaxing time. It has everything you need to stay for a while and it’s in a beautiful quiet location. Eshay is a very hospitable host. The hot tub and fire pit were great and we even caught some incredible lightning while we were there. It was delightful.
The property was clean. All amenities for a short weekend were available. Plus or minus of stay was that it was about 20 minutes from the city but we already knew it. Overall it was a pleasant stay

Beautiful home, clean, cozy, quiet, relaxing. I can go on and on. It’s a Gem!!
Host is superb. Always available to answer questions and help with your needs.
Host is absolutely wonderful to speak with. Very prompt in responding. Had no issues at all with property. Everything was clean. Everything worked. Beautiful scenery around cabin. Very quiet and remote. Loved everything about our stay.
Eshay’s cabin in the midst of Hammond State Forest was perfect for our anniversary getaway. It had all the amenities we wanted, along with a rustic vibe which we loved. The front porch was delightful with the morning sunrise and the evening moonrise, plus sweeping views of the forested mountains. It is a very peaceful setting with no traffic or people noise, only birds singing and the rustling of tree leaves in the breeze. There is also a nature preserve trail and a multitude of hiking/biking trails within walking distance of the cabin which we enjoyed. I would definitely stay at The Mountain Queen again. Thanks Eshay!
Beautiful location adjacent to hiking trails and state park. Close to great hiking, waterfalls, swimming, kayaking, wine tasting, botanical gardens and more.
Everyone loved the mini hot tub and thought the solar power was a plus.
This cabin is exactly what our family was looking for. We had spent four days in different state parks and needed to just relax and enjoy the nature around us for a little while. The cabin and property provided that perfectly
Quiet, rustic and a short drive into Ithaca. We were grateful we could have our 3 dogs along with us on our trip (and they quite enjoyed the trails near the cabin every day). Thank you!

Fabulous!!
Susan was very accommodating! She was available when needed. We were 20 minutes from the Cornell campus for graduation. Susan had the air conditioners ready for us upon request! Beds were comfortable and sadly we did not get to enjoy the fire pit or hot tub but is available if needed!! Thank you for sharing your home!!

Wonderful cozy log cabin!
This is a gorgeous log cabin in a very peaceful settting. So close to so many things to do. Just a short ride to Ithaca, too. Wonderful host. So welcoming and helpful. And the house comes with a fabulous guide about the house, which makes it so easy to stay.

A peaceful retreat
Susan was professional and accommodating, and her cabin is in a lovely, quiet location. My 9-year-old daughter, sister, mother, and I, along with my sister's 15-pound dog, thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay. The kitchen is well supplied, which mattered to us. Everything worked without a hitch, from the washer/dryer to the wi-fi. If we return to the Finger Lakes, Susan's cabin will be at the top of our list for places to stay.

Great cabin for a weekend getaway
The cabin was awesome! We went to Greek Peak to go skiing and stayed here. Susan was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. It was cold that weekend but had a great fire to keep us warm. The cabin was very homey and clean!

About the host
Hosted by Eshay Rausch
My life's work has included designing and implementing outdoor spaces and activities that are inclusive and anti-biased for families, children and adults to connect with nature and each other. Camp Earth Connection started as a children's camp and in 2015 evolved into a Woodland Campground & Retreat and Environmental Educational Center. Camp Earth Connection provides a welcoming space to all, with a warm welcome to individuals who identify as LGBTQ, as well as people from the BIPOC Community who may not have always felt safe in wilderness settings; And to all people who want to share a peaceful and amazing experience in nature.
Why they chose this property
Camp Earth Connection, my home is located in a beautiful forest setting. If you love being outdoors, and enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature you will love these properties. Also unique, is that the entire facility is alcohol and drug free. I believe this land offers a sacred place to rejuvenate, rest, heal and have fun. For fun there are 20 miles of forest trails for hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing. You will also see horses on the trails. Just 20 minutes from the cabin is Greek Peak ski resort for down hill skiing. After a long day skiing or biking, enjoy the two person hot-tub on the porch. Ithaca is also just 20 minutes away, and offers three state parks with beautiful gorges, falls and trails. Wonderful eateries are nearby including the famous Moosewood restaurant.
What makes this property unique
Enjoy the beautiful views surrounding the cabin. The trails are amazing - as a past cross country trail runner and avid hiker/walker, I have enjoyed exploring all of them over the years, and they never cease to bring me joy and peace. Wildlife is abundant due to the diverse forest. From barred owls, to coyotes, to glow worms and fireflies- this is a nature lovers paradise. For folks who appreciate a sober environment, they will enjoy all of the facilities which are alcohol and drug free.
