Harriet was an excellent host and we loved the property. Charming house, well stocked, great neighborhood, responsive host. What more can you ask for? We would definitely stay again.
I would highly recommend this house. It had plenty of space for a family of 5, great location next to the park and zoo and very flexible on checking in and checking out!!
We loved our visit to New Orleans and can’t wait to go back. The property is lovely, very clean and is in a great location. We enjoyed walking at Audubon park in the mornings and the convenience of all the shopping nearby. Creole Creamery was our favorite for ice cream. The host was very responsive and made our stay super enjoyable.
The house was perfect for our family! All the living spaces were so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The home owner was very responsive . Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great weekend and loved the quiet and safe location. It was a short drive to the French Quarter and museums. The house was clean, well stocked, comfortable, and charming. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.
Such a spacious and lovely house, close to the park and great restaurants, and Uber-able to everything else. We really enjoyed it.
Be aware that there’s a $25/night/guest charge over 2 guests, so add that to the $ calculation.
Downstairs was lovely and upstairs was just okay. The upstairs bath tile floor grout needs cleaning badly. Enjoyed morning and nights out on the patio with the fountain. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.
We are from NOLA and came back for our daughters defense at Tulane, this home was perfect for our family! Clean, easy access to Audubon Park and the owner was amazing! Kind and quick to respond! When we come back we will stay at this home!!!
This beautiful home was just the right size and in the perfect location for our trip. It was near beautiful Audubon Park and Cascade Stables with quick access to all amenities we needed — restaurant a, shopping, coffee bars, and a quick trip to downtown when needed. The well-appointed kitchen, comfy beds, clean bathrooms, and quiet courtyard were such a haven away from the fun of downtown! We can’t wait until the next time!
We had a wonderful stay in this classic New Orleans home. We were impressed and surprised by how large and spacious the house is. Tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and linens. Close walking distance to Magazine St, Audubon Park and the zoo. Highly recommend!
This is a beautiful house-even prettier than the photos! It’s in a great neighborhood, within short driving distance of midtown restaurants, the French Quarter, and other areas that were of interest to us.
Harriett was an excellent hostess, providing prompt responses to the only questions I had, which pertained to early checkin (which she graciously allowed) and checkout requirements (which were very few).
I would not hesitate to stay her again!

Awesome, Super Clean
Great owner, responsive and flexible. Home is super cute, and it is in a great part of town. Fun to walk around the neighborhood, near many restaurants, and even a short walk to Whole Foods. Steps away from the park and the NOLA zoo.
The trolley is also within walking distance, so you can park your car and walk and ride. A few minutes walk away is a beautiful Poor Clare Monastery with daily Mass open to the public. We would definitely stay again!
This house had enough room for my 3 boys (12,14,16) and myself and spouse plus. Each of the kids had their own beds, they had a bathroom to themselves. My husband and I had our own space and bathroom. The kitchen was very large and there was a spare bathroom and a washer and dryer as well. I love that there was soap for each sink, because let's face it, kids are messy. I would stay here any time we come to New Orleans. We had everything we needed, it was a beautiful house. Very good communication with Harriet as well. 10/10!
My husband and I visit New Orleans annually, and this year we had family members join us for the first time who have never been.
This house was PERFECT for our group of five. Plenty of space - both communal rooms and our own spacious bedrooms. (I must say, the master suite is a luxury and as my youngest cousin said "bigger than my whole apartment! :-)) Everything was immaculately clean and we could not have asked for anything more than what was provided.
Most important for us was the location is exactly what we prioritize when we visit NOLA. Right next to Audubon Park for running/walking and in Uptown that is the heart of all the restaurants and attractions we love.
We will be back for sure!!
Harriet has such a nice place in a great neighborhood right by the park and walkable to restaurants and businesses on Magazine St. It is an updated New Orleans shotgun with added rooms upstairs and a cute courtyard that’s great for a small family gathering. Feels like a home with artwork and personal touches and a kitchen that is well equipped for serving guests if they drop by.
Master bath has a big tub for soaking but jets didn’t work and shower head could be updated. There are a couple of extra rooms on first level that served us well as an office one day and made a nice “slumber party” spot for the little cousins. House even had a pack and play and small seat for our youngest little one. There are bicycles you can use and Harriet was nice enough to drop a pump by the house but unfortunately we ran out of time to use them.
We loved our stay in this beautiful home. It was within walking distance to Audubon Park and Zoo, restaurants, and shopping. The home was immaculate with comfortable beds and all the amenities. Highly recommend if you are looking for a stay in Uptown.
This house was adorable and in such a great location right near Audubon Park and the zoo.
Some of my family came to New Orleans to visit my daughter that is in grad school at Tulane. We loved the house and the location. We will stay again when coming back! One recommendation I would make is to possibly adjust the controls on the hot water heater. The water can scorch you it’s so hot.
Communication was amazing and so flexible with our plans.
Highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again! Larger than expected, perfect location and very comfortable. Thanks Harriet!

About the host

My family has been living in this neighborhood for over 70 years. I grew up around the corner from this house and am now back in my family home. My husband, son and I loved living in the house and after moving out decided to do short-term renting. Thus far, it is working out great and everyone that stays absolutely loves the house and the neighborhood. Hope you will too!!
What makes this property unique
The house has hardwood floors throughout and high ceilings. We renovated the house in 1999 from an old 1890's shotgun to a camelback - which is an upstairs addition on half of the house with two bedrooms and a bath. It is in a great location of uptown New Orleans, located on a dead-end to Audubon Park. Very quiet, family oriented neighborhood. Great for people who enjoy the outdoors, as you can wake up and take a leisurely walk around the park and then in the evenings take a walk up to the river and catch a beautiful sunset.
