This spacious two bedroom/ 1 bath property provides guests with an opportunity to picnic in the garden and be lulled to sleep with the comforting lap of the ocean on the shore intoxicated by the unpolluted ocean breeze. Shop at the country store next door for daily essentials to utilize the full kitchen facilities; or there are restaurants within walking distance; and a lobster and fresh seafood market a short hike away. This property has recently been renovated and provides an ideal destination for a family vacation as a davenport in a private room can provide an additional double bed increasing the temporary sleeping capability to 6 persons.

Amazing place to stay

It’s definitely a gem. Very quite and a 5 min walk to the ocean. The neighbours and the people that work at the store were so friendly and helpful. Great communication with the property owner as well. We will definitely be coming back next year.

Peggy's Cove Cottage

The main floor of the cottage was clean and it is quite large. The yard is also quite large with a nice view of the ocean from the hill in the front yard. Proximity to all the local attractions is excellent. It is within an hour of some beautiful beaches on the south shore and of course a few minutes from Peggy's Cove and the Swiss Air memorial. The living room furniture is plentiful and very comfortable. The two bedrooms on the main floor have queen sized beds which are also very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and large with a nice big kitchen table. Local restaurants abound in the area and the food is very good. Overall very pleased with our 3 night stay and would consider renting again on a return visit to Nova Scotia.

Not what we expected

This property was not as listed and was a disappointment. The whole place smelled musty like it had been closed up for awhile. There were water stains on some walls, the paint was peeling in places. The fridge door had black.mold growing on it. The listing said ocean view but the shrubs were so overgrown you couldn't see anything. The bathtub was also stained. We were four people staying for a week and only a few towels were provided, with no laundry facilities on site and no laundromat close by. The host did bring more towels when we contacted her and came to clean the fridge after we complained. We would have left after the first night but could not find any other lodging. We cut our stay short and left when we were able to find other accommodations. This rental put a damper on our vacation. Would not recommend it.

Going back in time

This house, in this neighbor, is like going back in time. The house is a bit stark, with uneven floors, but all that just added to the character of the place. Would stay there again to imagine a different time and place.

Comfortable home near Peggy’s Cove.

Beautiful scenic area! Home is off main road and has some ocean views from front yard and bedrooms. It does need some outdoor TLC but flowers were beautiful. Inside was very clean, had comfortable beds and bathroom. Sunroom and living room windows did not open, a little stuffy in summer, but room did provide additional sleeping area. Reasonably priced and had a very good feel to it making it a welcoming place to stay for the four of us.

Texas Tourist/ home girl

Extremely comfortable accommodation . Lovely decor. Peaceful at night listening to the ocean sounds. Close to lots of activities, but quiet and private location. Owner accommodating to meet your every need. Would absolutely stay here again.
