My story!

My name is Dan; I own my own Plumbing And Heating Business, and I manage this property. This is not owned or operated by any corporate outfit. Both businesses keep me very busy. My daughter is very active in volleyball, choir, and art; and is a wonderful student. We would like to welcome you to our "Rustic Dream Cabin"…your home away from home in Estes Park, Colorado!

Since I come from a family if 5, I know what you are looking for in a vacation home when you travel. We have worked very hard to update our home and create a relaxing stress free cozy cabin atmosphere with a rustic and industrial feel plus all the amenities. We spared no expense.

This house is stocked with everything you need from kitchen hardware, linens, towels, high chair, portable crib, board games, air hockey table, foosball table, ping pong table, (table games in the garage/game room) to Wi-Fi. 420.

Sorry no pets.

This house does not have air conditioning, however; the walls and floor are insulated with expanding foam, which keeps the house cooler in summer and warmer in winter (very well insulated).

Awesome Cabin in Estes Park - Close to all the things

This place was a perfect place for my brothers and I to have a 'guys trip' to Estes Park. It is perfectly located close to everything you will need for an enjoyable stay. The town is just right up the road, as well as the Rocky Mountain park entrance, as well as several great hikes and the Stanley Hotel. This place was more well stocked with kitchen tools, bedroom linens/pillows, and bathroom items, games, than any other VRBO I've stayed in. It was very comfortable and perfect for our trip. I would highly recommend this place to stay in for a trip to the area and we plan to come back. The host was also very great at accommodating and communicating with us.

Wonderful place to stay

We had a wonderful time on our first trip to Estes Park! The house was perfect and literally had everything you need. The property manager was available if we needed him, but we never really did. We did some sledding at the YMCA and sleds were provided at the house, which was a huge plus, the kids loved it! Perfect place to stay and hope we can return!

Rustic Dream Cabin

Beautiful house with all the amenities you'll ever need for a perfect stay with family, friends or just a single gent or misses. Close to Estes Park with restraunts, gas station, and liquor within walking distance. Very cormfortable! And relaxing! Thanks again for the blessed time we had and very much enjoyed our stay. Perfect Stay

We really enjoyed this gem of a house. Dan has put a lot of details into his home. There was a Bidet in both bathrooms. The master bathroom shower was great with it's body shower heads. The backyard really is a surprise how nice it is. We enjoyed both gas fire pits and the hot tube. The house has so many games and activities to entertain you. I highly recommend this property.

Hosts thought of everything

My family had a great time in Estes Park. The hosts cabin was very clean with everything outlined for check in and checkout to make our stay go smoothly. The house had all the essentials. The beds were very comfy! We loved the hot tub and fire pit. I highly recommend staying here.

Perfect family spot!

We loved staying at this house! The location was perfect. We were 3 minutes from downtown Estes Park. Lots of restaurants and shopping all nearby, as well as the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park just a bit further down the road. The kitchen was well stocked. I was able to find any cooking utensil or dish that I needed. We were not expecting the dishwasher and range to be so small, but it was totally fine for the amount of cooking we were doing. We very much appreciated that Dan had a pack-n-play and high chair in the house. It made our lives so much easier with our one year old! We loved the backyard area with the fire pit, fire table and hot tub. So relaxing! We also spend lots of time in the garage with the air hockey, ping pong and foosball table! Overall, just a great spot for families. We would return to stay in a heartbeat.

Estes Elk Magic

The property was everything we thought it would be and more. It was stocked with anything and everything we could imagine we could need. Since we had flown in we weren’t able to bring most things we would normal but found everything we could have needed! We even played a two hour game of Skip Bo one night as we wound down. HIGHLY recommend the property❤️

Wonderful rental.

This house was a perfect stay for 2 couples for a long weekend. We all agreed that the warm toilet seats and bidets were a top amenity. We enjoyed an evening in the garage game room. We also enjoyed multiple visits from the Elk bull and herd. We did not have time for the hot tub, but it was conveniently located in the back of the house. We would stay at this house again.

Perfect for a family

The house has lots of things for kids in the garage, such as air hockey, which was good for keeping them busy. Weather was too warm to enjoy the hot tub but did enjoy the firepit. Kitchen is well stocked with lots of utensils and pots/pans, if you want to make food at home. The location is on the outskirts of town which was nice to be able to get away from the crowd/traffic and is still very close to downtown. There is a busy road in front of the house which wasn’t bad with traffic noise.

Great Fall Break

We had a wonderful time enjoying the warm, cozy home; especially the game room, fire pit, and hot tub. It was a great getaway for our family of four. We were very excited to see some elk in the backyard. We would definitely visit again.

AMAZING

Great location. Cleanliness and decor are amazing. Well stocked with a weeks worth of paper products, trash bags, condiments, hair dryer, coolers and so much more. Attention to detail of what you may need was over the top. Great fire pit, hot tub and games galore. Highly recommend this home not to mention the many elk, deer and rabbits we had right in the front yard.

Lovely Cabin and Host

The cabin is beautifully remodeled! Comfortable, clean so many amenities everything you could need. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pits and hot tub in the evenings. Internet went out due to a storm, Dan immediately came over and checked called his internet company and they came right out and replaced the dish on the roof in the rain. We were able to watch our Eagles win! Thanks Dan for sharing your lovely cabin ❤️

Dan is truly the man! He will take care of you. We enjoyed all of the amenities and time at this property. Dan is very responsive and will make sure any issues are addressed promptly. A fantastic hiking weekend!

Estes Park trip

For our family this house was in great location and near several breweries and restaurants we could walk to. This has been totally remodeled inside and out and the backyard with hot tub and fire pit area was great! We hiked then came and got in hot tub and then had drinks by the pit. We actually ate breakfast every morning at the high top fire pit to enjoy the cooler weather. Dan's place is very well stocked with everything you could need and has lots of spices in cabinet. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Estes Park!

Great Property

Such a fun place to stay. We were with 2 other couples and absolutely loved the back yard (fire pit, bar, hot tub) and the garage with many game options. We had a long trailer that hauled two buggies and had plenty of room to park in the drive way. Recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun and clean house. Dan also was available via text or phone for any questions and checked in on us the evening we arrived to make sure everything was good. Great host!!

I was born in Dyersville, Iowa. (Field of Dreams and Farm Toy Capital of the World) Grew up working in die casting factories and working on farms. Moved to Estes Park in August of 1999, quit a design engineering job to work for my brother as a plumber. I moved here with my clothes, a stereo, and a motorcycle. My grandfather owned his own plumbing and heating business in Dubuque, Iowa. and in 2013 I decided to start my own business named after my grandfathers called Curtis - Straub Plumbing And Heating LLC. May 6th of 2013 (My parents were married May 5th). I was a single dad with a daughter born in 2007. I was very blessed to buy this old 2 bedroom 2 bath house, built in 1959. It had never been updated and I have been dreaming of fixing it up. We have been working nights and weekends for almost a year before finishing this project. Lots of LOVE was put into this place you can feel the good vibes as you enter it.

Why they chose this property

When I saw this property I saw a diamond in the rough and knew I could remodel most of it myself. It was perfect for my daughter and I. Close to the School, removed enough from the busy downtown area, but walking distance, close to the lake and fairgrounds, large 1/2 acre lot, great views. This was a solid, well built home and is cozy and simple. After leaving Iowa I have lived without a garage for 13 years and this garage was the perfect place to start my business.

What makes this property unique

What I love about this house; Where do I begin? I love that it is a single level, its simple, large back yard, awesome views, walking distance to all the places you want to go. Its in ESTES PARK! How lucky I am to live in the mountains, where I belong!
