My Awesome Fort Above The Garage!

This apartment is a stand-alone unit, no shared walls or neighbors above or below, and is a quiet, comfortable space in the heart of Davenport. Guests must be able to climb up and down 1 1/2 flights of stairs for access.

The space is exclusively yours during your stay, no sharing closet or bathroom space with the host's personal belongings. It's a fully furnished 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment that was originally built as a caretaker's cottage, and is located behind my home, above my garage. Ideally the space is perfect for three people but it can accommodate up to 4 people with a provided twin roll away bed, and a twin self inflating air mattress.

Great place to stay

Awesome place to stay! The entire place was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and could hear very little noise at all. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area. Host was very great in communicating but gave us complete privacy during our stay.

Very nice!

Charming apartment had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable with clean linens. The bathroom was clean with plenty of towels available. The kitchen was completely furnished. I highly recommend staying at the Fort. We will definitely be coming back.

The Fort is the only place I book when in Davenport! Lynda is very accommodating and quick to respond. New (to me) this time were the neighbors barking dogs but they were quiet at night. Will definitely stay again!

Apartment is exactly as shown, and very clean and quiet. Comfortable, very nicely furnished and appointed— kitchen has everything needed and then some. Lynda touched base with me to make sure all was well, and responded quickly when I texted. I would definitely stay there again if the need arises!

The Private Garage

This is our second time staying at the 'Fort above the Garage'. It is very private, quite and is centrally located in Davenport. The apartment has everything you need and setting the arrangements with Lynda is easy. Next time we are in Davenport we will be staying at the Fort.

More than I expected in many ways.

Everything was more than expected. Owner was responsive and attentive to our needs. Kitchen is well stocked, house was very clean. Property is quiet. If you see the dog, she will require belly rubs to enter the property and she will let you know about it. Overall for my first vrbo use it was about perfect and I'll definitely use this rental if I get the chance again.

Nice fort

A Real Gem

We loved this comfortable apartment in an attractive neighborhood, 3 blocks from a beautiful park. The kitchen has all the equipment ever needed, and the living room has very nice sofa and easy chairs. The bedroom has 2 closets and bedside tables with multiple outlets for charging. Our only concern was the stairs; as older folks we were very careful.

Clean and comfortable!

This was our second time staying here as we have family in the area so we visit several times a year. We can always count on the apartment to be clean, comfortable, convenient to wherever we need to go and reasonably priced 😊. The bed is quite comfortable, the bathroom and kitchen are well stocked and it’s nice to have a living room to enjoy as well. This is now our go-to place when visiting Davenport!

Very nice “fort” in Davenport!

The “fort” (garage apartment) was everything we needed for a weekend or even longer. Nice residential location, clean and very spacious. We didn’t have a chance to cook since we were visiting family and mostly ate with them but the kitchen was fully equipped. Host checked on us by text and was always available though we had no need to bother her. I really appreciated the little things like very comfortable bed with quality sheets and towels and even a Blueair purifier like we use at home. We had no problem with the outside steps though they are a bit steep. Motion sensor lights come on though as soon as you step on them. Overall a very nice place to stay - we will be back!
