We stayed here over Christmas with eight people. there’s plenty of room, a big, well equipped kitchen and nice game room on the lower level. Just a few, very minor concerns: if there were a snow storm, getting up the road to the property (which is at the top of a hill, would be challenging; my wife has some mobility issues; there are lots of stairs, which she negotiated only with effort; we live in Colorado, so while the Mountain View’s were beautiful and plentiful, they weren’t the absolutely best we’ve seen in the area; finally, the owner was kind enough to put up a large Christmas tree for us—alas there was a problem with the electricity which was never resolved, in spite of efforts by a handyman. So the tree was unlit most of the time. Nevertheless, we would highly recommend this property.
Cloud 9 is gorgeous, and in a beautiful spot on top of a hill in Estes Park. It was fully appointed as stated in the listing. Even with 9 people it hardly felt full- there are loads of separate and cozy lounging spots. Everything was spotless and decorated for the holidays, and there was plenty of parking for our vehicles. 5 minutes from downtown, Lake Estes, grocery stores etc. Would love to stay there again!
Our Cloud 9 experience was just transforming! Our family of six (all adults) fit so comfortably but more could be accommodated. Nicely detailed inside and out and the neighborhood felt very safe. We felt as though we were on top of the world. The VIEWS were PHENOMENAL!! I'm not kidding, PHENOMENAL!!! You are surrounded by breath taking views of the Rockies and Estes Park. The windows allowed breath taking views as well as the sunshine to pour in. There are numerous decks that allow even more outdoor space for people to enjoy. We BBQ'd one night and even though it was a bit windy it was nice to have a quality grill on site. The whole family sat around the fireplace every moment possible playing games, talking, and enjoying the crackling and warmth of the wood burning fireplace. There are plenty of places to purchase wood in Estes. We used the hot tub nightly and with the snow falling it was just magical! The pool table was a highlight as well and was certainly used quite often! We ate our meals on a huge dining room table with room to spare. The kitchen is nicely appointed. For those who need a TV you won't be disappointed as both upstairs and downstairs have huge TV's. The neighborhood is calm and we felt secluded but town is just a couple minutes drive. You can walk it if wanting outdoor time. RMNP is a short drive away. Our family was able to relax and build relationship at Cloud 9. We loved Cloud 9! safe the whole time we were there.
This house has it all! We frequently stay in VRBO properties. Cloud 9 was one of the best. Located approximately 1 mile from Main Street. Fantastic views from every side of the home. Kitchen is well appointed. Home is very clean. Plenty of towels and blankets. Host decorated for Christmas prior to our arrival. Very comfortable home with 2 fireplaces. Gas grill. Huge master suite. Hot tub on the deck overlooking with lake. Perfect for entertaining and spending time with family and friends. Looking forward to our next trip to Estes Park. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay very much! The house is perfect for a family gathering. The kitchen was well stocked. The accusations were very comfortable. And the views were beautiful!
The property was great - we had four couples and the home provided plenty of space for all. What isn't mentioned or shown in the description is the amazing views from the property's several decks; these were amazing. Location was extremely convenient to Estes Park and the National Park. Property managers were super responsive to the questions we had - highly recommend this property.
My husband and our 3 adult children loved this house. We had plenty of room, the beds were very comfortable, and the common areas were great for us to spend time together. We hiked every day and the location was perfect for RMNP and our 1 day in Boulder. No AC, but the nights, even in July, were cool and we stayed comfortable with the windows open. Beautiful views in every direction. Easy access to Estes Park grocery, shops, and restaurants.
Pros:
As all other reviews have stated, the views from this home are absolutely stunning and can be enjoyed from multiple decks outside and floor-to-ceiling windows inside.
Tons of space for people to have a spot to read a book or take a nap.
Kitchen appliances are all very new and there were plenty of cooking supplies (pots and pans, utensils, etc.
The hosts were very quick to respond to our messages.
Cons:
The lower level felt very dark and the bathrooms could use updating.
The beds were a little firm, but we know some people prefer that!
All in all, the stunning views made this spot unforgettable!
Absolutely Perfect for Our Rocky Mountain Vacation!
All 9 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home in Estes Park. Close to EVERYTHING! Incredible house with plenty of room for all. We loved the sunken fire place area where we played games most nights on our week long stay. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped and the Safeway is very close. We loved Claire's restaurant and Dave's BBQ. The truth is, you have the best views in town so we really preferred to eat meals at "home." I mean, 3 decks (one with a large hot tub) 1 balcony, and an incredible house with the backdrop of Rocky Mountain National Park ... what more could you want? I highly recommend this home.
The pictures posted here do not do this property justice! It was so clean and comfortable! Plenty of kitchen utensils for cooking, it was so cozy! It was a wonderful family trip to enjoy each others company! We hope to go back again!!!
Our first VRBO rental and it couldn’t have been better! A beautiful home in one of our favorite areas to visit. The pics do not do this place justice, as the views of Estes from the multiple balconies are amazing. Home was immaculate, communication was prompt and home instructions were very well laid out. I have a feeling this is the first of many stays at Cloud 9. Thank you so much!
My family from TX wanted a white Christmas and we love ESTES Park, so I started looking for a house for all of us instead of the hotel. Saw this, and a few others, but kept coming back to this. Booked it and what a great move! We showed up, easy to get in, and the views....the photos do not do this place justice. It is on the top with views all around. There is one or two other homes at the top that may have similar views, but if you are looking for mountain views, some space and not a regular neighborhood home, this is it.
The place also was well stocked and what I mean is TP in every bathroom, paper towels, spices, dishes, pans, pots, etc. It was better stocked then most of the VRBO homes I have rented. Christmas decorations were up, tasteful and really complimented the house. Can not wait to return! Thanks for a beautiful house, working hot tub, and a warm and inviting home.
We’ve stayed at a lot of VRBOs, etc. large and small - and this place easily wins for most scenic, well-stocked, extremely comfortable house. Many places to congregate - often older adults upstairs and younger adults in the basement playing pool, games and hotubbing. Not only is the place well-cleaned (I usually find something off but not here) but the entire house is well-maintained. We hope to come back some day. Lovely memories!
Cloud Nine is amazing. I don’t think you could find a place in Estes Park with better views and still be so close to town. The home is so spacious which worked well for our family. The communication throughout the booking and stay was great. We had such a good time and would love to stay at Cloud Nine again.
We have stayed here 3x now and plan on going again!! Fits our family! The upgrades are amazing! Love this place. Can't wait to go again next year. And the Views....Are the BEST!
Cloud 9 was perfect and looked exactly as listed!
We loved the beautiful sunrise and sunset views from the decks. We liked the quick access to downtown and the drive to RMNP took less than 15 minutes.
Thanks for sharing your stunning home with us!
The pictures understate the beautiful views in all directions. The house is near town, so it is easy to get provisions. The house was clean and in great shape. Cloud Nine made our family reunion trip very special!
We all were literally blown away with this home! Beautiful views from all rooms and we enjoyed all of the decks to catch the sunrise/sunset, dining at home and playing games. It was a short easy walk to downtown, although a little harder on the way home! The house sits at one of the highest points in Estes and the photos online do not do the views justice. We did hiking, fly fishing and horseback riding. Truly a memorable vacation for us college friends to reconnect! Thank you!
We loved our stay in this beautiful home! The views from all of the decks were stunning! The house is very well cared for and very spacious. We would definitely stay here again!

We fell in love with this home and have decided to share it with others as enthusiastic about Estes Park as we are. When the house isn’t rented, we come here to enjoy it with our friends and family as we hope you will. Coming here resets us in a way no other place does. Peace, quiet and harmony with nature are all part of the experience
Why they chose this property
We’re from Chicago and have been coming to Estes Park for many years and enjoy it immensely. There’s no place like it on the planet! It has everything we love right here, from mountain peaks, to rushing water falls. Besides the awe inspiring Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), there are plenty of things to do like horseback riding, hiking, white water rafting and just plain getting away from it all. We have so much fun going into town for shopping, going to restaurants, strolling along the river walk and the famous weekend festivals. Estes Park has so much to offer! We also like watching the many animals that visit us. Watch for deer, elk, bear and beautiful hummingbirds, to name a few.
What makes this property unique
The views are absolutely amazing!!! The first reaction of most people that come here is to take a look at the views and immediately feel the stress just melt away. Relaxation made easy! “Wow!” is what most say. Come, see for yourself; 360° of breathtaking views including the Continental Divide, Lake Estes, Longs Peak, the Mummy Range which includes the Twin Owls and the Sleeping Giant. The house is tastefully decorated, and if you’re not in the mood to shoot some billiards, take some time to soak in the 6-person hot tub, relax on one of the decks or take a snooze on the hammock hanging from the Ponderosa Pine off the main deck. The house is perched on top of Little Prospect Mountain, above Estes Park; however, town is less than one mile away. It is 3 miles to the entrance of RMNP. Choose between two golf courses right in Estes Park. Eldora, the closest ski resort, is approximately an hour’s drive.
