Location, Location, Location
For three months, we were the lucky first guests to rent this award-winning recent renovation. This location on quiet Love Lane, off Fleming Street adjacent to the KW Library Palm Garden, is the best. It’s only 1.5 blocks walking distance to the grocery store, 3 blocks to the post office, 2 blocks to Studios of Key West and new bookstore, 1 block to Eaton Seafood Market, and 2-3 blocks to numerous restaurants (Michaels, Prime, Lucy’s, Waterfront Brewery, Boathouse, A&B, Alonzo’s, Bien, Azur, etc.) 3 blocks to Tropic Cinema, and 2 blocks to the waterfront. We would give this location a walkability rating of 10 out of 10. You do not need a car when renting this house. The expansive, roomy deck gets plenty of sunshine and is perfect for get-togethers. The 10' deep heated saltwater swimming pool is very private and always the perfect temperature. Excellent weekly pool service and monthly grounds keeping by the gardeners. Things we loved about this home: it's immaculate. beautiful windows allow sunlight to permeate throughout the house and an airy feeling, lovely view of the Library’s Palm Garden from the kitchen windows. The efficient air conditioning system worked perfectly, and there are many, quiet, adjustable ceiling fans throughout the home, exceptional energy efficient LED lighting inside and out for reading, ambient indoor and outdoor dining, and underwater lighted swimming in the evenings. There are high-quality televisions in each bedroom and we loved the huge smart TV in the living area for our group to watch the Super Bowl, NCAA Tournament games, Netflix movies, etc. Quality artwork is beautifully placed throughout, and there is gorgeous Cuban patchwork tile in two of the bathrooms. The open floor plan combining the kitchen, dining area, and living room in one shared space is very pleasant for entertaining house guests. Although the bedrooms are quite small, the layout provides privacy for everyone and easy access to bathrooms. Everything is on one floor and accessible if using a cane or walker after one enters the house. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed. Excellent icemaker, large refrigerator, super quiet dishwasher, and quality outdoor grill. There is off-street parking for an electric car or scooters. However, placement of the lane gate and a palm does not accommodate the tight turn for an SUV. The property manager, Mr. Keith, was eager to make our stay pleasurable and responsive to our text messages/calls.
