Treasure Island Beach Condo - Perfect Location - Easy Access To Beach

The unit is in a perfect location in Treasure Island, “The Jewel of the Gulf Beaches”. Only 215 ft. (55m) from your doorstep to the beach and less than 75 ft. to the beautiful intercoastal waters of Tampa Bay. Treasure Island is conveniently located near St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Tampa, and just a short drive to the Orlando area.

Our non-smoking condo Unit 315 is a one bedroom with a queen size bed, one bath, with full kitchen and appliances. It also includes a sofa bed that sleeps 2. Our corner unit has a view of the Gulf Beach from any of the 5 west windows. The bedroom south side window has a beautiful view of the Bay and the Beach. Or enjoy watching any of the 2 TVs with cable channels. There is access to a coin-operated washer and dryer in the complex a few feet from the unit. You will have free one assigned parking spot for the unit.

While you're at the WestWinds Resort in Treasure Island, you'll have many options of how you want to relax and enjoy your time. Enjoy a swim in the heated waterfront pool, or just hang out and enjoy the breeze by the picnic area while watching dolphins and manatees swim in the bay. You can grill the fish you catch from any of the 3 private docks in the barbecue area (gas grills). Or you can head to the Publix grocery store a block away and buy your steaks, hamburgers or hot dogs (or fish if you fail to catch any) to grill, along with a nice dessert.

Take a walk along the wide white sands while enjoying some of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see, while collecting the beautiful seashells that wash ashore.

Enjoy the numerous restaurants and bars in the area, many within walking distance or hop on the affordable Suncoast Beach Trolley. Head down towards John's Pass, the quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village with over one hundred merchants with unique retail shopping, fishing fleet, cruise lines, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Treasure Island is only minutes away from the Tyrone Square Shopping Mall.

Area attractions less than a 2 hour drive include the Disney Parks, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo, Tampa Bay Aquarium, Ybor City and many others.

For the sports enthusiast you have professional teams a short drive to St. Petersburg to catch a baseball game (Tampa Bay Rays) or futball (soccer) game (Tampa Bay Rowdies). In Tampa you have football with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lighting hockey, as well as University of South Florida NCAA Division I Big East College sports.

Loved our stay. Close to everything! One of the elevators didn’t work (we were on the 3rd floor) and the pool needed clean but we still had an excellent stay and will stay again. Very clean!

Not as expected
We have stayed at the west wind before. Just not this room. We stayed in a unit on the 2nd floor. Comparing to our last stay. This unit was way out of date, clutter everywhere, ice maker dosnt work, smells like old retirement home, furniture looks like the way it smells, bed is very uncomfortable and out of date, squeaks when you move, fan squeaks all night, sticky notes through out the unit with reminders on them, sofa was just as uncomfortable as the bed, elevators do not work so you have to load everything up and down the steps, coincidently this elevator has not worked for 3 years. I’m not trying to be a negative Nancy on these issues. But with the amount of money you spend to stay. You would think the owners would listen to customers reviews and fix them. But by reading some of the reviews on issues I’ve already mentioned, they seem to brush them off and say the customer is being dramatic. We enjoyed our last stay here when we were in a different unit. But definitely not this time. I would not stay in this unit again. It needs a major overhaul. We spent most of our time on the beach and out and about. But when we are back in the room I want to be just as comfortable. In the owners book they state the ice maker dosnt work. So they acknowledge that there is an issue. But instead of fixing the issue. They rather give to a complementary bag of ice, which we did not have. So prepare to spend and average of $6-$8 a day just to have ice. Would not recommend.

Property could use some updating with some umbrellas at the pool. One of the elevators was out of service and made it difficult to bring the toys to the beach. The host replaced the frig which was nice because it has an ice maker. Definitely will come back again.

We had a great vacation here! The location was perfect! Everything was as described and very nice. The only minor issue was the tiny ants in the bedroom, but i would still book another vaca here. Enjoyed eating breakfast out back while watching the dolphins and even saw a Manatee about 10ft away from the dock. Overall great experience and I highly recommend this place for your next vacation!!!

Perfect location
Clean, comfy. It was a 3rd-floor end unit with Gulf views and intercoastal views. When we didn't make it to the beach, we could watch the sunset from our windows. Unit equipped with everything needed. Personal parking space right below the unit. Could easily walk from unit to the beach, local restaurants, Publix grocery, Surf Style and other local stores/shops. The resort had a nice pool and very nice patio with great seating areas on the intercoastal water, and gas grills for use. We were able to meet Janet who was very personable and responsive. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay again if we get back to this area. Thank you!

Westwinds condo 315
Property was clean and comfortable. This was an end unit so there was some street noise but this was not to take away from what the unit had to offer. The complex had 2 elevators but the closest 1 was not working requiring a longer walk to the 3rd floor unit with a step-up or step down on the hallway. Listing stated the 2 washers and dryers were free on our floor but it turned out they were coin operated. Unit was well stocked and furnished. Owners always responded when requested. Location was good with easy walking access to the beach, restaurants, shopping and Publix. We enjoyed our stay.

First impressions: 1. The couch is sagging and worn 2. The fridge is outdated and the water/ice machine isn’t functioning 3. There are no window curtain’s therefore the street lights shine up the bedroom all night 4. Bed mattress is spring & needs to be changed out to something newer. After 1st impression… Loved the Condo Building & the area! Perfect location to walk anywhere you’d like. And with the notes above, still thought it was doable. Then…., BIG negatives….some type of alarm beeping sporadically with 3 consecutive chirps, every night… contacted owner, told to check smoke alarm battery…did that, still chirping. 2nd to last day, AC running but blower on & off. The evening of our last night (after spending all day outside) came into a Hot condo. AC Not running. Contacted owner…they’re sorry and will contact AC company. Last night, no sleep, chirping stopped because AC died. 80 degrees inside, cooler outside. Owners Never offered to bring fans or give a refund of some sorts, even though I suggested a 2 day refund for our troubles…I got no reply.

Location is perfect!
I enjoyed the location as it’s a short walking distance to Caddy’s or Publix. We normally stay beach side but I actually like staying on the inter-coastal side better. You could still see the beach from the top floor. The elevator was broken. The pool was dirty. The room had a ton of sticky notes/rules on everything which made the stay not as relaxing and more stressful as we wanted to make sure we were following the rules.

Perfect Place for a Getaway
This condo had everything we needed for a comfortable beach vacation. We loved the location! The beach was so easily accessible and beautiful and the walk to the grocery was so close! We did not need a vehicle and could walk to many restaurants. Also, we really appreciated the quick responses when we needed to communicate with the host. This home is definitely on our list to return to!

The condo was very nice, clean and cozy. It had lots of extra amenities. It was nice having beach chairs, a cooler and beach towels. The condo is located directly across the road from the beach with a cross walk nearby to make crossing easier. We walked to many restaurants and it was nice having the Publix nearby that we could also walk to.

We (our unit) are members of the Treasure island chamber of Commerce.
Our family has lived in the Tampa Bay area for over 50 years and our regular home is less than an hour away from the unit.
Jose has a CPA firm and Janet is retired but helping Jose with the firm's bookkeeping after working as the office administrator for a doctor for 20 years.

Why they chose this property

We have lived in the area. The Gulf beaches in Pinellas County Florida are considered some of the best in the world. Treasury Island is located between St. Petersburg beach and Madeira Beach and is considered the jewel of the Gulf Beaches.
The area is convenient to shops, restaurants, mall and close enough to attractions and sports.

What makes this property unique

We just love the patio and pool area that oversees the Bay and we are still across the street from the Gulf beach. We felt this was even better than units located only on the beach. Our 3rd floor unit gives us a view of the Gulf, and we have an area just outside our unit door that we can sit and also have a view of the Gulf.
Even the broker says our unit is by far the best in the resort for our size 1 bedroom unit.
We are in the process of completing and changing decorations.
