"La Casita" is a warm, cozy, and inviting retreat. Our house is designed to make you feel comfortable and pampered with all the amenities that you deserve while on vacation. As soon as you settle into our home, the “La Casita” will become the place that you look forward to coming back to after a day of exploring and enjoying our wonderful city of Colorado Springs.
Our home is spacious, with 2,000 square feet of living area. The house was originally built in 1894 but has been completely renovated. During this process, we wanted to create a home with all the modern amenities that would make it comfortable while maintaining the charm and warmth of a historic home. As you walk in the front door, you will see that we were able to create such a place.
Our property manager and staff are available 24/7 to make sure that you have everything you need. The house has an open floor plan which includes the living room, the dining room that seats six, and an oversized kitchen with a large island perfect for entertaining. It has hardwood floors throughout, central air conditioning, and heating.
The living room has two comfortable Italian leather sofas and a lounge chair. There is a 65" ultrahigh definition television that includes cable programming with premium channels. The gas fireplace will keep you warm on those crisp Colorado evenings. It’s a perfect place for entertaining guests or sitting by the fire with your favorite novel.
The kitchen is large with wood cabinets, granite countertops, and brand-new high-end stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need including Lagostina premium cookware, Henkel’s knives, coffeemaker, rice cooker, crockpot, toaster, and an assortment of bakeware. We also included a Ninja blender for making smoothies in the morning and frozen cocktails in the evening. The pantry is stocked with cooking basics so you can create a wonderful meal without having to purchase common ingredients.
In the hallway, you will find the first of two full bathrooms. This bathroom has a full shower and tub for ease of bathing little ones or enjoying a soak. We have also included a makeup mirror, blow-dryer, and plush towels. Adjacent to the bathroom is a full-size washer and dryer (laundry detergent is included).
Our home has three bedrooms, which sleeps eight people comfortably. Every room is equipped with a HDTV, memory foam mattresses, and luxurious bedding. All the rooms are tastefully decorated and are the perfect place to rest after a day of hiking or exploring the city.
The first bedroom would be perfect for the kids. It has a bunk bed with a single on the top and a double on the bottom. It also has a trundle bed that would be perfect for a child. Unlike a traditional bunk bed, there is a staircase leading up to the top bunk, which is much safer than a ladder. The beds have flannel sheets and down comforters to keep the kids warm and cozy. There is also a PlayStation, a video game library, and board games to keep them entertained.
The second bedroom has a four-post full-size bed, dresser, and night tables. The memory foam mattress, soft velvet linens, down comforter, and pillows will help ensure a good night's sleep. There is a large closet and high-definition television as well.
In the master bedroom, we tried to create a Victorian feel that would reflect the historic significance of the house. The four-post queen-size bed, pillow-top mattress, bamboo sheets, down comforter, and pillows envelop you in luxury. The master bathroom has his and her vanities and an oversized shower. It has a lighted makeup mirror, blowdryer, and plush towels. Basic toiletries are included as well.
The sliding glass doors in the master bedroom lead out to our beautiful deck, which is my favorite part of the house. It has a round sofa with a sunshade that seats eight and a fire pit in the middle. Our family loves to sit around the fire drinking coffee in the morning or watching the stars at night. The sofa converts into a full-size bed for nights when you want to sleep under the stars or take a siesta during the day. There is a Weber barbecue and additional seating on the deck as well.
If you prefer, you could relax on the front porch in the seating area we have there. You can enjoy a drink or a good book while appreciating our quiet neighborhood. When you are ready to venture out, you don’t have to go far to enjoy much of what Colorado Springs has to offer. We are within walking distance to two of our most popular attractions: Downtown Colorado Springs and Monument Valley Park.
Downtown Colorado Springs has hundreds of businesses, including plenty of unique, locally-owned shops and restaurants, as well as the most popular nightspots in town, make downtown Colorado Springs a prime place to spend a day shopping, or enjoy a night out on the town. The park features demonstration gardens of the Horticultural Art Society, sports facilities, picnic areas, and the 4.3-mile Monument Creek Trail for walkers, runners, and cyclists, and the 1-mile Monument Valley Fitness Trail.
