About this property
Gorgeous 1835 Farmhouse w. Lake/MTN Views!
Located in the heart of Grand Isle, this 1835 Lakehouse catches stunning Easterly Sun and Mountain views. Previously a Cafe, this farmhouse has been recently recently renovated from head to toe, including a very large kitchen. 10min walk to the lake!
This old 3200 sq/ft farmhouse is a great space for entertaining guests. It features a large kitchen, as well as an Amish built farm table, which can extend to seat 14 people. Open the french doors and you can find more seating either on the deck or at the firepit.
The house is setup like similar to a duplex. On the East side, there is a large master bedroom which gets sun and moon rises over the lake and mountains. Also on this side is a wet bar/kitchen, 3/4 bath with his and hers vanities. Travel up the other set of stairs and you enter the other part of the duplex with 3 bedrooms, and a full bath. There are further sleeping options down stairs in the office with a pull out couch (memory foam matress).
Because the house is setup like a duplex, we have chosen to rent out the house in a couple ways. For groups of 1-8 you would have access to the main portion of the housing, including 3 upstairs bedrooms, the pull out couch in the office, 2 full baths, living room, dining room, and large kitchen. For groups larger than 8, just let us know and we would be happy to go camping ;)

About the host
Hosted by Tom Rittenburg

We are travel addicts! Any chance Lindsay and I have to travel, we take. We enjoy exploring the corners of the globe for as long as we can. The worlds a helluva big place and you're only here once!
I am a manager/industrial designer in the automotive industry as my day job. When I'm not on the clock, I enjoy building/renovating houses, building classic cars, photography and of course traveling.
My girlfriend (fellow host) Lindsay is also a designer and photographer by trade, as well as an architectural renderer. With her extensive background in the architecture world, her ideas bring new life to the seemingly ordinary. To learn more about Lindsay, check out her website
Lindsay is of course a fellow travel addict, and we usually use our rental proceeds to fund the next adventure.
We both really enjoy meeting new people, and hearing stories of previous adventures. We'd also love to help point you in the right direction to maximize your trip!
