Charming property with all of the amenities

We had such a lovely stay here. The accommodations were both charming and comfortable. The view was lovely and I had wildlife visitors everyday: deer, eagles, racoons, and bunnies. It was a perfect get-a-way!

Great Place

Wonderful place for our family of 5. Plenty of room and close proximity to many activities. As previous reviews stated it does get warm during the day (we stayed mid July) but with the fan provided and the door open it cooled down quite quickly.

Outing in WA

The decor, deer and the scenery is amazing. We were not allowed at the pool. That was a downer. Kids were disappointed. Bottom shower was clogged and did our best to unclog the bath drain. Overall was still a great place to stay.

Enjoyable week

We used the house as a base camp for the week while my wife and I with our 4 children visited the many national and state parks of the area. Overall the house was as described. Very open concept with the main bedroom in the loft. If you have little children , then please note that there isn’t a door to the up or down staircase. Large windows throughout the house let in a lot of light. The basement had two more bedrooms with a queen in one and a single over double bunk bed in the other. Not much privacy in the house as many of the doors were frosted glass and the third bedroom have a partial wall with small gaps around the edges, but it was very nice. There are three bathrooms (one on each level). The kitchen was nice and stocked pretty stocked. The house was clean and organized, with the exception of the outside patio and deck furniture. They were not set up when we arrived. It appeared like there were all moved for cleaning but not put back. The neighborhood was quiet, with the exception of the military jets that were practicing carrier landings at the nearby runway. That was only during one evening and my kids thought it was great to see them so closely. Overall we enjoyed staying in the tree house.

Great House but HOT

We loved this house, and the multi levels were great. The view of the water was wonderful and the back deck was very enjoyable. Really enjoyed the design of the house and space. The first half of the trip the temps were normal for this time of year (June) and the house was hot and even with the fans running and windows open it was still hot. Typically cooled off though in the wee hours of the morning for a couple of hours. Thankfully we were never there during mid-day when temps were the hottest, but afternoon/evening heat still was uncomfortable to say the least. When the heat wave hit (temps in upper 90’s/100) it was miserable. I hardly ever give reviews that’s aren’t 100% glowing, but would highly recommend a portable AC unit for the house, if even only for the upstairs room. Thank you for sharing your house with our family. We had a lovely stay otherwise. Ps We had a hard time finding the pool mentioned in the description/information. Found it our last day, down by the beach, here is the address: 75 W Keystone Ave, Coupeville, WA 98239

Great place poor communication

Got this place for family to stay at when they came for a wedding. Everything was great with the place and they thought the treehouse/loft atmosphere was really cool. However, this place is managed by vacasa and listed on vrbo. Don't expect quick response from the owners or property managers. I received responses from different person each time and it was a day later that I would get a response. The first responses before their stay were form answers as well and didn't answer my questions. Obviously, skimmed by some operator and form answers applied.

Lovely place, family friendly

Loved the location. The pool was my kids favorite with a close second being Fort Casey. The fun family games and downstairs bedrooms that were kid friendly were perfect! We had a great time exploring, eating in, eating out and exploring the area. It is a clean and beautiful house!

Cute house in beautiful neighborhood

This house was located in a great spot. Quiet neighborhood with beautiful view to walk out to on the porch. The loft is a great little set up but do keep in mind there’s no closing off noise from the rest of the house. We had two babies traveling with us and setting up sleeping arrangements wasn’t the most ideal but we made it work. There’s are two rooms downstairs with a seating area and bathroom. One of the rooms has a door for privacy the other only has a barn door that slides almost shut but cannot be closed off to block out noise. We had a great time on our family trip and the house provided comfort and almost everything we needed. Fairly clean home upon arrival. We all had a great trip!

Unique and fun place to stay

This was a fun place to stay on Whidbey island - our group consisted of my husband and myself, our 2 kids (11 and 15) and my dad (76) and we had plenty of space for everyone (loved the 3 bathrooms). The place is close to Fort Casey, ~10 min from downtown Coupeville, and ~40 min from Deception Pass. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. We didn't get a chance to check out the pool but I did call ahead and find out it is heated. A few things to consider before you book: -The master bedroom upstairs is a loft and it is right over the kitchen - there are no doors for the bedroom or the en suite bathroom (just a curtain). Ideally your earliest risers are there otherwise whoever gets up first will wake you up. There is also a large picture window that overlooks the bed and it has no curtains - so bring some eye masks otherwise the light will wake you up in the morning. -As others have mentioned there are a lot of stairs. I don't see this as a great choice for those with young kids (the stairs are platforms and have a lot of space in between) or those who are unable to manage stairs because there are no bedrooms on the main floor. -I really liked the neighborhood - great for evening walks and quiet at night- but it is no walking distance to any shops or restaurants so plan ahead

Cute Place

The We enjoyed our stay with our two grandchildren, 10 and 7, however sleeping downstairs was too dark and scary for them, and not comfortable for us to be honest, and a bit septic smelling, so we had them sleep upstairs in our bedroom on a mattress on the floor. That worked out okay. The kitchen was well equipped, but we would have loved a colander to drain our pasta, but couldn't find one.

Other worldly

We loved our stay at the Madrona Tree Retreat. The architecture was amazing and inspiring. There are peekaboo views to the water where we watched cruise ships and freighters go by. The Olympic Mountains even came out of the clouds a couple times. We found great places nearby to take short hikes, enjoy the beach, and bird watch. We needed separate spaces for Zoom meetings and that worked out great. The Internet was a bit unstable at times but worked out for our needs. The owners have just installed a mini-split heat pump, so that will make a big difference when it gets hot and AC is needed. An advisory to visitors who are short; the kitchen is designed for very tall people. Any minor shortcomings of the house were more than compensated for by the magic of the setting. I would love to come back again.

Absolutely Amazing Property

Your home was amazing, my grown children and I went on mini vacation to see the island. We were stationed in Oak Harbor and moved home when they were babies in early 90's. The location was perfect to travel to Seattle and north to Mt. Baker. We could not have found a better place. FYI the coffee pot is in clean mode and could not fix it. But hey when your in the northwest who drinks coffee at home. Just wanted you to know about kustnin case. WILL STAY here again if we ever make a trip to the island again. Thank you for sharing you piece of paradise with us.

Unique and interesting architecture

The house was unique and interesting - it had a lot of good qualities including nice appliances, because of the MANY stairs I wouldn't recommend it for young children or senior citizens. For guests that love an open concept it is perfect. The house is on 3 levels and level 1 (kitchen and living area) have no closed walls or doors between it and level 2 (master bedroom and bathroom). For guests that prefer a good deal of privacy this might be an issue. The bottom level has two bedrooms and a very small "den" with the only tv. The navy did some training flights over the house that were loud, but that didn't bother us. We enjoyed our short getaway at this property.

Whidbey Island retreat

Great location with plenty of room for our family of five. Clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was the washer was not working and we had been counting on being able to use it. The property manager was aware that the washer was not working and apologized for not letting us know in advance. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend the location for anyone needing the space.
