The Butler Creek Lodge is located only five miles west of the Missoula airport on a splendid 4 acre property secluded in the woods. Our price is for the first 6 guests, additional fee for the 7th-12th guest. Four bedrooms comfortably appointed with top quality beds, dressers, and private baths. A loft area with couches , TV, King size bed and futon. A large dining room seats 10. We have a gourmet kitchen. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and eat for 10 people. The great room with couches and chairs on the main level leading out to the deck area. Internet access, local phone and direct TV. A fire table and outdoor gas grill.
A private 2 bedroom suite apartment across from the lodge with an entrance creek side is available for 4 additional guests on two beds. $350 per night plus tax. 2 night minimum.

Outside, Missoula Valley's inspiring scenery and local wildlife can be enjoyed from our deck areas or creek side on our secluded grounds. Tranquil and magnificent!
Located so close to Missoula, you'll find many nearby opportunities for dining, live entertainment, great shopping, theatres and recreation. Choose from fly fishing, golf, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, swimming, day trips to Glacier National Park or Flathead Lake, or numerous other national forests in the area.
Transportation to and from the Lodge is easy. We are close to the airport (6 mi.) and Interstate 90, yet far enough away to provide you with peace and solitude. Ample private parking for six or more vehicles. Wedding inquiries NOT accepted on Vrbo. Please check out our website for that. Special rules and rates apply.
Make the Butler creek lodge your home away from home when you visit Montana. Plan a fishing trip with friends, bring the whole family on an adventure, plan a family event. Outdoor parties for 15 or more people incurr a lawn fee of $200. No tax. Max guests for outdoor parties is 25.
A great corporate meeting place as well.
The lodge is rented with no cleaning services . Cleaning fee at check out is included. For more information about the Lodge give us a call. We will be happy to answer any questions you have. The lodge is family owned and operated ensuring great attention to detail and pride in every aspect of your stay. The property has a caretaker’s home across from the lodge where your hosts live year round. We are here to greet you and assist with anything you might need. Great lodge!

This place is awesome! Stayed with 7 fishing buddies. Host was excellent. Grounds are beautiful. House was great. We cook a lot of large meals and kitchen was well stocked. Lots of space indoors and outside. I would love to stay here again!

Wonderful

Our stay at the lodge was wonderful for our family of seven. The lodge has a great rustic cabin feel to it, and is very well decorated and appointed. The extensive yard and natural views around the lodge are beautiful and soothing. The background gurgle of Butler Creek is a soothing plus. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. They set out yard games for us and had bkfst items stocked. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and that we had what we needed. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Perfect spot for a Graduation Celebration

Everything about the property is perfect. Kitchen is fully stocked. Beds and linens are top notch! Plenty of room for indoor and outdoor fun. Hosts were very helpful and so kind. We will surely be back for another family gathering!

The location was a perfect white Christmas location. The cozy beautiful home was very spacious and warm Christmas decor inside and out. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for the whole family. Large kitchen. The whole family loved it.

Warm and Welcoming

Beautiful setting in a former fishing lodge in the trees and a stream near by. Plenty of room for this group of six in both the common areas and for sleeping. Beautifully appointed with a two tvs, lots of games and books. Very well stocked kitchen.

Everything was great! Even when we had last minute changes in numbers of people, the host was able to work with us and make it work. The players loved the open grass to play yard games. Absolutely recommend staying here.

This property is amazing! It is very spacious and comfortable for large or small groups. Every room is beautifully furnished with items that reflect Montana's rich heritage. Perfect getaway lodge!

We loved Butler Creek Lodge! It was so much more beautiful than the pictures show. Tons of room and all the bathrooms make it so comfortable for a big group. So many little touches make it really special. The hosts had muffins, treats and breakfast goods for us. What an awesome place!

Wonderful experience!

The lodge was amazing! Very clean and well appointed - we had plenty of space for our group of 8. Dorinda and Dennis were excellent hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was our second time here - we visited 8 years ago for our older kids' U of M graduations, and this time for the youngest. A wonderful space to share old memories and make new ones! Thank you so much for your hospitality and for sharing your beautiful lodge!

The cabin was better than we expected from the pictures. Lots of space, and room to share. We enjoyed the piano, the games, the creek, the walks. Dennis & Dorinda were fabulous hosts. We would definitely come again!

Mountain Get Away

Beautiful home and amazing property. The setting was ideal for those wanting a quiet get away for family or friends. The home was very clean, the hosts were very accommodating, and the furnishings very comfortable. Close to everything in Missoula, but it feel very secluded and private. Highly recommend staying here.

Great place for family

We had a great time here as a family. The house was adorable and very clean. It was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and BBQ. Dorinda and her husband were very kind and sweet to us. A real gem!

This is a great modern cabin with all the upgrades. Our family gathered for a Thanksgiving reunion. The kitchen and living areas are great, Bedrooms and baths have been upgraded to top of the line. We were fortunate to find this castle in the pines. Thank you Dennis and Dorinda!

Family vacation in Missoula? This is the Place!

Our family of 12 had plenty of room and our every wish fulfilled at Butler Creek Lodge. Dorinda and Dennis are those rare hosts who really want you to be as comfortable as they are! From coffee and muffins for 1st mornings’ breakfast to DVD’s for the kids to beautifully landscaped grounds with comfy chairs to enjoy the sunsets, this is a lovely home in every way. This is a super well supplied kitchen! It is convenient to downtown Missoula yet private and quiet in typical Montana country.

Gorgeous, comfortable and well-equipped lodge. Perfect for our family vacation.

We loved our stay at Butler Creek! For 6 adults and 3 kids, we had more than enough space. The grounds are immaculate and the house itself is gorgeous and so nicely decorated. We loved that Dorinda and Dennis keep the house so well-stocked...we arrived to find a full array of breakfast items ready for us plus milk and condiments in the fridge, laundry detergent by the washer, first aid supplies in the closet and countless more thoughtful touches that made our visit so much more comfortable. They really go the extra mile (oh and did I mention that all the adults in our group agreed how amazing the sheets on the bed were? Lol. No cheap, scratchy linens here!). Dorinda and Dennis are so welcoming and lovely to talk to. They showed us the grounds and let us know about some activities our kids might enjoy but they also gave us the peaceful and private experience we were looking for. I really can’t say enough about them and their property — we truly had no complaints about our visit and we’re already talking about planning another visit for next summer. Thank you Dennis and Dorinda!

Butler Creek Lodge is a beautiful property and we enjoyed a wonderful week there with family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Butler Creek Lodge. We had four generations together, from 91 to 1 and everyone had a lovely time! The grounds are stunning and the lodge is beautiful and impeccably maintained. The kitchen is large and spacious and has everything you could possibly need for cooking large family meals or a gourmet feast, including an array of spices and condiments. The appliances are beautiful top of the line stainless steel. Our hosts left a delicious assortment of pastries and breakfast items as well as coffee and bottled water to welcome us. The common areas are large and spacious with ample room for people to gather together or in smaller groups. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with an en suite and the other with a common bathroom right next door, both with walk-in showers. The third and fourth bedrooms are upstairs, again, one with an en suite and the fourth bathroom in the hall. Both of the upstairs bathrooms had bathtubs which is great for the kiddos. There is an upstairs loft as well with its own sleeping and living area, as well as a balcony. Everyone felt like they had their own little private part of the house. We had one family member using a walker and one kiddo with special needs and this property worked wonderfully for everyone! Dorinda and Dennis greeted us when we arrived and were warm and welcoming. They were always available during our stay but never intrusive- it was a pleasure to meet them. When they saw that we had small children they immediately brought out two booster seats for the dining room table and several yard toys. The yard and grounds are so lovely and we really enjoyed spending time outside. There is a basketball hoop (plus an adorable mini hoop for the kids), a fire pit area, picnic tables, and tons of great places to lounge and relax. The yard slopes down to a creek and a lower yard as well and there’s a great tree swing. The creek is so beautiful and sounds so relaxing! Lots of places to explore and either indulge in some peace and quiet or entertain a large group. We loved the grill and had some delicious burgers one night. Our entire family had an amazing week and created so many wonderful memories. I would highly recommend Butler Creek Lodge, it was a pleasure spending our week there. Breathtaking views with a piece of serenity on the side:-)

Dennis and Dorinda were perfect hosts!!! They were helpful, informative and just a lot of fun to be around. The large was like your personal park.Every bedroom came with the bathroom which made it nice for everyone and there was lots of privacy within the lodge. The area was clean and well kept. There were lots to things to do just on the property plus a very short distance into Missoula. This stay far exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this property for a comfortable and very serene stay. Absolutely loved it!!!!

Wish we lived here!!

Delightful, roomy lodge, well supplied for very comfortable stay. The Delenas were wonderful and very friendly. (Dennis brought out sleds for our grandkids to enjoy the recent snowfall to sled on the hill right outside the lodge.). Would definitely love to stay there again. Convenient to Missoula, yet felt like we were nestled far out in the woods. Truly rates 5 stars!!! Amelia Wilbur

Butler Creek Lodge is a stunning property. Every angle is breath-taking. Love this spot!

Everything about our experience at the Butler Creek Lodge was magical. Dorinda and Dennis were amazing hosts and helped make our wedding stress-less and enjoyable. With the lodge location just outside of Missoula, it was easy to make last minute trips to the store but also provided the middle-of-nowhere, relaxing, forest experience. The weather was perfect even though it was still pretty hot in town. Every guest at our wedding commented on how perfect the venue is for a wedding. We had a perfect wedding and being at the Butler Creek Lodge was the icing on the cake.

Peaceful, beautiful, and rejuvenating.

This is our 5th summer trip to the Butler Creek Lodge and every year it gets better and better. From the clean, welcoming accommodations to the beautifully manicured grounds, it's always a great place to spend a few days.

Lodging for Group Fly Fishing Trip

We have been going with Butler Creek Lodge for an annual fly fishing trip with a large group of folks from the Seattle area. Dennis and Dorinda have been very accommodating, and everyone has been happy with their experience. They will also facilitate any special requests to make the stay even more enjoyable. I would recommend this place to anyone who has a large group that wants to be close together during their stay.

Dennis and Dorinda have retired after 30 years in the customer service industry. They live on the property in the caretaker's house. They are native New Yorkers transplanted to this tranquil and magical setting. They enjoy every aspect of life in Missoula. Having grown up in the Bronx and Westchester County in NY they are used to everything that NY City offers in the way of culture, shopping and lifestyle. They don't miss a thing except perhaps the white sandy beaches of long island. The magnificent rivers and many water ways satisfy their love of being near the water. Bird watching and communing with nature right at home on the lodge grounds provides a storybook retirement for them. Their family pets love the lifestyle as well. Luke and Leo are brothers from the same litter. They love to frolic in the creek and explore nature with Dennis and Dorinda. Gomez their 30 year old Macaw is lots of fun to be around. He is beautiful and dances for the guests. Gomez loves being outside on the deck and enjoys the surroundings. Lots of birds and wildlife for him to enjoy. He loves the guests at the lodge and will greet you with a happy 'Hello'

Why they chose this property

Missoula is a magical place. The scenery is breathtaking. Hip and modern while still giving you that old west feeling. On the way to the lodge you will see horses, cows, deer, wild turkey, large birds, mountains and more.
We immediately fell in love with the historic city center. The allure of a University town really appealed to us. So much going on all of the time...all four seasons.
The galleries, artist communities, farmers market and street festivals provide ongoing activities week after week. The parks, ski areas, golf courses, bike trails and forests provide enjoyable outdoor recreation year round. The change of seasons and endless outdoor activities make you feel like you are on vacation 12 months a year!

What makes this property unique

You will feel secluded tucked away in the lodge off of a dirt road in the mountains among the pines and yet...in just fifteen minutes you can be in the heart of down town Missoula enjoying live entertainment, great food, wonderful shopping, art galleries, the University Of Montana and historic monuments all around.
