Hard to access
Even though the place itself was nice, the accessibility and parking were difficult and not conducive to having day visitors. Also, if the weather hadn’t been dry it would’ve been easy to get stuck which we wouldn’t have had time for. Host should consider not booking during this cold time of year in my opinion. Beautiful view if you’re looking to just veg for a bit.
The accommodation was perfect. Better than we imagined.
Quaint and charming! Very clean and well cared for. Beautiful view! Close to everything and yet quiet and private. The perfect PNW stay!
Nice lower apartment under the owner’s home. Great view of the water with a deck. The place had everything I needed. Ron was very easy to deal with for check in. Minutes from many restaurants and stores in Burien. I would stay here again if I had the opportunity.
This is a very nice property. It is a separate apartment constructed under the main house. The back faces the Sound, and has a lovely private deck with an unobstructed view of the Sound. There is a nice dining area, and a kitchen in the back of the unit. The kitchen is quite small, but nicely equipped. The owner is very easy to reach, and very nice. My one caution is that, if you are not used to Seattle, don't check in at night. The bluffs on the Sound side of Seattle can be very steep. Go slowly, arrive in daylight, and you'll be fine. Overall, a very clean and well-maintained property in a neighborhood of older homes and absolute quiet, with just a gorgeous view of the water.
We enjoyed the scenery from the deck and the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean but the toilet, sink and outdoor stairs are all in need of repair/strengthening and there was no coffee in the house. The basement laundry is only accessible by some creaky old stairs. The drive to the property involves some blind, sharp turns on a steep hillside so you would not talk me into going back. Too many scary features for me.
The location was convenient to Port Angles and Olympic National Park. The place was large and included a lot of amenities. We wish we had stayed there longer.
We loved staying here. The view from the balcony was amazing. We saw bald eagles & sunsets. It was nice & quiet, but only a short drive to the beach or Seattle. Ron was wonderful to work with & easy to get in touch with if something came up. We would definitely stay here again.
This property is so perfect! From the sound views off the beautiful patio to the wonderful whimsical artwork on the walls, the gorgeous, extensive garden, and the claw foot tub; it it is all just amazing! Our host could not have been more friendly and accommodating, even taking the time to locate a vital piece from a medical device that had rolled under the bed and handing it off to our son. I cannot wait to stay here again!
Was very nice and clean apartment with an incredible view. In a wonderful neighborhood that was very quiet and friendly. We were often the only ones on the roads while there. Would stay again for sure.
Just like home! If you expect “hotel experience,” then stay at a hotel; but is you are looking for a “home away from home” then this is it!
We plan to stay here every time we visit Seattle. The hosts r terrific. Terri (house keeper) is super awesome too.
We loved it!
We came for a quick business meeting and tacked on a day to relax. This was the perfect spot. We used Uber to check out downtown Burien and walked to Seahurst park. Otherwise we just enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the rental. Everything was well-stocked and clean and the host was very friendly. He accommodated our late checkout as well.
This was the perfect location to easily get to city attractions within 20 minutes but enjoy a quiet residential space (and a beautiful view) for rest. Matched description and photos, clean, and Ron is there when needed but respects privacy otherwise.
Two notes: Try to arrive for the first time in daylight. Ron’s directions are perfect, but the road is daunting so it was a little tricky trying to navigate for the first time in the dark. Unit is below a main residence so expect very quiet neighbors (occasional footsteps, very low occasional murmuring). We weren’t disturbed at all, more concerned we were being quiet enough.
The place is located in a spectacular neighborhood. It’s down a winding steep street which can feel a little daunting to drive and to walk. Your own personal patio is a highlight with spectacular views all to yourself. The place is outfitted With everything you need for the kitchen and bathroom, Including a functioning hairdryer.. The place is old and it showing it’s wear in various places but everything works well and I enjoyed my stay very much.
