Wavecrest: Ocean Front villa with private pool and beach access
Set on a promontory on the southeastern coast of Barbados, Wavecrest overlooks the Sam Lord's beach and affords its guest wonderful ocean views. Immediately below, waves from the Atlantic Ocean roll in against the beach and low cliff. The villa has four air conditioned bedrooms. 3 of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms while the fourth is across the hall. The vaulted, double-height living/dining space is stained white, decorated with elegantly casual furniture and wonderful sea views. The villa includes a fully-equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a large patio for sunbathing and reading during the day, cocktails at sunset, or alfresco dining. Steps cut into the coral lead down to a sheltered, palm-shaded beach. Guests who prefer the convenience of a swimming pool, or who like to take a fresh-water dip after a swim in the sea, will appreciate the fact that Wavecrest has its own pool. Daily maid service is provided, and on request, arrangements can be made to have a cook.

We came down with 5 adults to escape the snow. From the moment we came to the time we left, we had an excellent stay. This is a very relaxing place, and the sunrises and sunsets are excellent! We’ll be back again.
This place is outstanding! Unbelievable-amazing views throughout. The place was so nice that we spent most of our time enjoying the beautiful views and pool at the house. Could walk to a great local restaurant Dis Ol House. We liked that we were off the beaten path.
Gillian the property manager was great and helpful.
Jackie the housekeeper/house manager is so delightful and helpful. We even had a nice dinner prepared for us in the house by Beverley. We would rent again!
We had a wonderful experience here. Gillian guided us through a perfect 9 night stay in Barbados. Our days were as packed as we let them be. Some days we took advantage of the amazing space sipping rum cocktails, watching the kids swim in the pool and the waves crash on the near private beach and never leaving the gated space. The next taking our rental car off to explore the island. Catamaran sailing, hanging with monkeys or picking a beach to discover. Jackie kept the house spotless and was always dropping great local tips. great seafood at Ostins or where to bring the kids (the boatyard was good fun).
For our needs the location is perfect - Johnny and Staci (security) kept the place feeling very secure. We love the fact we were off the beaten track a bit - during Covid it felt very safe and isolated from others while always having the option to go to the more packed parts of the island. It was exactly the reset and recharge vacation our family needed. Thanks to the staff and good vibes of the island.
Wavecreast was the beat! Perfect setup for our family. Well appointed. Sunrises of a lifetime.
The home is fabulous. Property management and staff were very helpful and a joy to meet. Attention to detail was top notch. Loved the view, pool, beach, and quiet life this side of the island offers. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Only suggestion, put overhead fans in the veranda.

We had a great week at this beautiful ocean front house. If you are looking for a relax way to spend your time, then you will enjoy this house. It was a perfect house exactly what I wanted.Just want to thank Gillian for always being prompt in answering all our questions prior to arriving for arranging all the taxi services for every one of my guest. We are thinking of returning next year.

A beautiful and quiet retreat
This property is exceptional. It has all the elements for a family vacation or vacation with friends. It is spacious and luxurious and from any room you can see and hear the ocean. If you are looking for respite and privacy and want the ability to swim in 2 pools or the ocean, it is perfect. It is situated on the Atlantic, so there is ocean access but make sure you know how to maneuver the waves. We also had Margarita the cook come and prepare the local dishes. She is exceptional. Everything about this home is simply well done from the help of the property manager to Jackie the housekeeper. Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful. I hope to go back very soon!

family/friends vacation
As soon as you open the private gate to Coral Point 1 your heart will stop at the breathtaking scenery and this will be the beginning of your unforgettable stay at the house.
You will be greeted by Jackie the housekeeper who is wonderful and will make you feel at home. If you choose to have a cook, Greta, will make your stay even more enjoyable with her wonderful cooking and great personality.
We have been coming here for over 5 years and never think to go anywhere else.
If this is your first time visiting Barbados, your will enjoy everything it has to offer. Beaches, sun, food and fun.
Enjoy and I know you will return just as we have done so many times.

Family vacation
My family and I just returned from a week in Barbados. We stayed at Coral Point 1 and had such a great time. The house is well suited for groups with grown children. Everyone had lots of space for alone time as well as group activities. We loved going from our private pool to the main pool to the beach. The home is open and airy and there is a wonderful view from each window.
the property was clean and the grounds were perfect. We saw monkeys and turtles from the patio. It was just an amazing vacation. We are all ready to go back.
The staff for the property is terrific and added to our tropical experience. We had been to Barbados before but always stayed at a hotel. I don't think we will ever do a hotel again. We have already selected our villa for the 2012 vacation!

Great for Sunbathers
This large rental property was built in 1990. It sits on a coral rock outcropping about 30 feet above sea level. You can hear and sometimes feel the waves thudding into the cliff and see the spray just beyond the back patio. You have your own private pool to soak in which overlooks the cliff. There is also a larger pool big enough to swim in that is nice and warm due to solar heating. It is an easy walk down to the beach. There are plenty of comfortable lounge chairs around so this is a sunbather’s paradise. Local fisherman like to fish off the cliff behind the house so if you are a fisherman you might get lucky too.
Jackie is your house keeper and will make you feel like royalty by keeping things clean and tidy during your stay. She is also a great source for island information, start asking questions as soon as you arrive. The best meal we had on the island was prepared by the cook for this house named Greta (pronounced GREET-a). You supply the groceries and pay Greta thirty five US dollars and she does the rest. We had roast chicken, spicy rice and pumpkin fritters which were fabulous! The security guard Johnny was very friendly and poked around at night making us feel very safe.
I would not recommend this property for families with young children. Both pools start at about 5 feet deep and go deeper. The beach is pretty but the surf there is strong, much too strong for little ones to enjoy the waves. There is no retaining wall or fence along the cliff to keep young ones from getting too close to the edge of the cliff.
You are a long way from most restaurants and any night life in the location so you will need to rent a car to get around the island. There is a TV with cable but the furniture grouping around the TV is rather uncomfortable to sit on. Otherwise the furniture in the house is still in good shape. We did have trouble with mosquitoes in this location even with the sea breeze, and a couple nights we were surprised to be visited by crabs in the house! The house is starting to show its age a bit but everything was still clean and functional. The air conditioning in the bedrooms worked very well. I would have been happier with more shade around the swimming pools.
