This cabin was perfect, my wife and our teenage daughter absolutely loved it. The home has everything you need to cook a nice meal and a beautiful campfire outside. Our pup enjoyed running the hills.
The host was great! Super friendly. The cabin has great WiFi as well. Highly recommend.
If you’re looking to explore the area or do some white water paddling, this is a pretty good deal. Quiet, and well stocked with plenty of amenities that made it a comfortable stay.
We enjoyed our visit to Reliance. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. The property manager made sure that we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay again and recommend them to friends.
What an absolutely adorable cabin nestled in the Cherokee National Forest. It was beautifully decorated and had every essential we needed! We enjoyed our time immensely. Thank you!
The owners were friendly and very responsive during our stay. There was a huge storm right around check in knocking out power. Brian and Nola made sure we got settled in, had lanterns and heat. Can’t wait to see the new cabins when they’re finished. We will be back.
The woodsman was perfect for myself and teenage daughter on a road trip to do some whitewater rafting on the Ocoee. The cabin is comfortable with a small but well equipped kitchen. Wifi was a bit spotty, which was perfect for me to avoid incoming work calls but it was good enough to text and do phone research on locations to visit. Brian was an excellent host and the check jn/check out is about as painless as it gets. Highly recommend staying here for small families, couples, or guys out fishing/rafting!
If you're looking to get away from EVERYTHING, this is the place. It is quiet and peaceful and takes a while to arrive!
Brian and Nola were gracious hosts and obviously are hard workers. You can tell everything is in the process of being upgraded, including the Woodsman Cabin.
The updates to the bathroom are spot-on. The kitchen was great, too. Everything was clean and the cabin was well stocked for our needs. I appreciated the little things, too, like USB plugs in the bedroom and the Citronella candle on the deck.
There are some things still in progress, however. We had to adapt the parking situation to avoid walking through a mud hole. The AC was putting out a musty/moldy smell. We turned it off and opened the windows and it pretty much went away.
My biggest concern is that there was really no comfortable place inside to rest and relax. The seating in the den area had little padding between us and the springs, and the downstairs mattresses need to be replaced, too. (We didn't go into the loft.)
I realize we weren't staying at a luxury hotel but at a rustic cabin, so we can extend a little grace there. But with a few tweaks this could be a 5-Star rated place.
I've stayed at many properties over the years in this area. Sometimes cabins, sometimes camping. This was a great place with all the necessary amenities. Quiet... secluded... but still accessible to grocery and restaurants in Tellico or Etowah. Be mindful though, and vehicle with low clearance will have a tough time making it to the cabin. Not a criticism or complaint, but if we had driven the sport car I doubt we could have made it both in and out of the driveway.
Cabin was as described. Great quiet get away. Access of roads and parking so so.
Communication with Brian was great. Cabin was neat and clean. Beds were comfortable. Private Firepit and picnic area available for each cabin and if we’d been there longer would have made use of. Only downside was Parking I would not recommend for those with difficulty walking as you park in very narrow gravel drive below cabin and walk up gravel hill to get to the porch.
This cabin was the perfect quick get away located in a great spot with many activities close to the cabin! We went to the local river tubing company and also hiked a beautiful trail less than 20 minutes away.
The cabin was very cute, in the middle of nowhere, which is just what we were looking for. The property manager was very helpful. Check-in and out was was a very easy process. The kids loved the loft! Overall, a great experience.
We usually go camping but with it raining we knew we needed a better option. This was an amazing, affordable choice for two teachers to reset after a crazy first two weeks of school! We will definitely be back!
This was a very awesome and secluded area and we all enjoyed it. We had to drive a bit to for some of the things we wanted but we new it before hand. I would love a family trip in the fall. very clean and comfortable.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Woodsman cabin. It is like lots of cabins in the area but with really nicely done finishes, newly refinished within the past year. It is remote but has AC and Wifi. Highly recommend!
