Acadia Horizon Cottage – Waterfront Escape in Southwest Harbor, Maine
Welcome to Acadia Horizon Cottage, a charming 2-bedroom retreat on Mount Desert Island with breathtaking views of Norwood Cove off of Somes Sound. Perfectly situated adjacent to Acadia National Park, this cozy vacation home offers an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty and charm of Maine’s coast. With direct waterfront access, and a 10-minute walk to the quaint town of Southwest Harbor, you'll find everything you need for an unforgettable family getaway.

The 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom Cottage is located on the 2nd floor and is completely private. It is accessible via a private entrance. There is a front porch facing a wild flower field and rear area seating with a gas grill. Guests may enjoy the shared 1 acre lawn and waterfront.

The first floor is an artist studio.

Under new ownership this year, the Cottage has been updated with a full kitchen, including brand new stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave. Additionally, we have added full house air conditioning to keep you cool and comfortable. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms offer additional circulation. New flooring makes the space clean and bright. Decorated with original artwork by owner Camille Kouyoumdjian and other local artists, the home is an ideal setting for your family vacation.
The Causeway Club is visible across the water, perfect for golfing, fine dining, and fitness, just a few miles down the road. Walk to the beautiful Causeway bridge to watch the tides change.

Each bedroom has its own ensuite full bathroom: one with tub/shower and one with a shower stall

Note: A flight of stairs is required to access the guesthouse. The rental is on the 2nd floor.

Living & Kitchen Area: Enjoy ocean views from the bright, open living space. The newly remodeled kitchen features a full-size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, making meal prep a breeze.
Bedrooms: One room has a King sized bed, and the other features two twin beds. Both bedrooms have dressers for clothing storage.
