Beautiful condo overlooking the village & ski field, every convenience available in the condo, short flat walk to lifts, ski back to lodge, great hot tub, easy drop off & pickup with underground car park lift. What more could you ask for?
This is our second stay in this comfy condo. The furnishings may not be the most modern and stylish, but it is clean and convenient, and the owner is accommodating. If at all possible, you may be able to check in a bit early, or check out a little late. Both great options on a ski vacation. There is also a variety of food and staples left between guests, to supplement what you bring. Next time we visit Solitude, we hope that this specific condo will be available, and once again, we’ll feel right at home.
Location is great. Condo is exactly what you need for a new days enjoying the snow. Really couldn’t ask for anything more. Lots of kitchen items were available in the pantry, so it was really nice not having to purchase “the little things” for simple meals.
Wonderful condo in Solitude Village. So convenient to walk to the ski lift and the condo itself was fantastic. Clean, pretty, and cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed including basics like spices, oil, vinegar, and coffee filters! The owner was immediately responsive to any communications. Loved this place! Coming back soon!
We had an excellent 8 day stay. It felt like we were somewhere special especially in the evening when the day visitors had left. The apartment had everything and more, including a view of the mountain and Apex lift. It was basically ski in, ski out. We've never really stayed so close to the slopes and loved the luxury of the apartment and its location. We'll hopefully return again, perhaps with friends. .
The solitude resort has everything including closeness to Brighton. The condo had everything we needed and the bed was very comfy. Great stay all around
This place was cozy and was just right for what we needed.
A lot of appliances and plateware. Everything you need in a kitchen and spices to cook. Makes things easy to prepare food.
Highly recommend!
What a comfortable and clean condo in a great location in the Village at Solitude! Super spacious for the two of us, and comfortable for a few more.
John, our host, could not have been kinder, or more accommodating. Hoping to be fortunate enough to book the same place on our next trip. It was definitely perfect for our needs.
The property was impressive with its cleanliness and amenities! John was very responsive and accommodating. In addition, it was very well stocked with basics. Overall, one of the best bookings we have made on vrbo. We definitely hope to be back!
I had mixed feelings about this stay. The location of Powderhorn is fantastic. We loved the short walk to the lift and the convenient ski storage. Josh was also very responsive and flexible with checking in a bit early.
That said, there were several disappointing aspects of our stay. First, when we entered the unit it smelled as if the prior renters had smoked in the unit. This took several days to air out. Second, the white towels were stained and very old. The kitchen faucet also needs repair and would run unless you turn it off just the right way (which would take multiple tries). Finally, the master bed was extremely soft so it felt like you were sleeping in a hole (totally get this is personal preference as I prefer firmer mattresses).
I think with a few minor upgrades I would give the place 5 stars (and the smoke issue was likely just bad luck).
We had a fantastic time at Solitude. John was an amazing host and provided clear instructions and was easily reachable. The condo was super well stocked and had everything we needed and more. It was super convenient to everything in Solitude - whether restaurants, club facilities and of course skiing. Would recommend PH215. We hope to be back some day.
What a great property, walking distance to everything, even the Nordic trails! The apartment was exactly as advertised, and John was very easy to communicate with. I can’t wait to return.
We love staying at Powderhorn in Solitude. This particular unit lives larger than some of the others. We appreciate that owner left the nook as a separate sleeping area and with bunk beds! Stocked with everything we need. Thank you!
Great place to have easy access to Solitude skiing. Easy walk to access lifts. A couple of food options within 100 yards. Condo is extremely well equiped with modern furniture, clean and comfortable bedding, lots of kitchen gear and access to condiments and other small items you might have forgotten. Bring flip flops for the hot tub and enjoy. Nothing but good things to say about this rental! Five stars.
This condo was perfect for our family of 5 adults during our 4 day snowboarding trip to Solitude. It was cozy and intimate without ever feeling too small. It was a nice space to connect as a family but with the king bedroom and den with a curtain, we also had some private spaces. The bathroom was very spacious as well. The condo was WELL STOCKED! We arrived very late at night so we didn't stop at the grocery store before heading up to the condo, but we had plenty of staples to get us through the next day including COFFEE. The short walk (3-5 min) through the adorable Solitude village to the Apex and Sunrise lifts couldn't have been more convenient. And while we did eventually do a grocery run in town, there was a small general store and plenty of restaurant options in the village to get a bite to eat. We also appreciated the convenient storage on the 1st floor so that we could just grab our equipment and hit the slopes!
We've stayed in this building before, and the location can't be beat! All the snow we got during our 1 week stay didn't hurt, either. The condo was spacious for the 2 of us, and would be good for a group of 4. The kitchen was well-equipped. We'd recommend this condo and would stay here again!
Powderhorn was perfect for our family. The four of us had plenty of room and the place was just as depicted. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Why they chose this property
We bought this condo so that we can enjoy Solitude in the summer and fall primarily. (Okay, we love powder snow too.) We purchased this unit because it has a larger floor-plan than the other 1 BR w/ den condos, and has views of the village and mountains. And, when it's not rented in the winter, we can get up the canyon to ski some un-tracked Solitude powder and nordic ski skating! We are really enjoying the ski-in/ski-out dynamic too (when the condo isn't rented) - rolling out of bed late and still getting first tracks! Even though we only live 25 minutes away being able to spend more time in our beloved, beautiful Wasatch makes us happier! We are so grateful to have this condo- every time we go to Solitude we are renewed.
