About the host

My wife and I grew up in Maine, enjoying the beaches, lakes, mountains and woods. We love to travel and adventure outdoors. We have two young children, and love to host friends and family. We can't think of anything better than sharing our beautiful state with guests.
Why they chose this property
We grew up in Maine and fell in love with this neighborhood immediately. After spending a summer day exploring Bayview Beach and Ferry Beach, we popped into Camp Ellis Market for freshly made sandwiches. Everyone was so friendly and we spent some time exploring the jetty and the laid back neighborhood. It felt quiet and quaint and relaxed, even mid summer. We walked ~7 minutes to lunch at Huot's Restaurant in Camp Ellis, sat outside and enjoyed the live music and fun beach vibe. Ferry Beach State Park is walking distance with beautiful trails for strolling or biking. Just a short drive away is the excitement of Old Orchard Beach, or downtown Biddeford, or closer to home - the can't miss food, culture, and sights of Portland, ME.
What makes this property unique
Fully renovated interior has modern amenities, charming touches and is fully stocked for your beach days. This property used to be owned by the Harbormaster, and neighbors have shared great stories about his family and the lobster shack he ran from the backyard, cooking up freshly caught lobsters. This cute, charming home is on a quiet dead end street, that leads directly onto a sandy walking path that leads down to the beach. We walk with our two little girls and a beach wagon in 7-8 minutes. We love the sandy beach and sound of slow, steady waves. It's also walking distance to a market and restaurant, and entrance to Ferry Beach State Park.
