About this property

Stay at the best spot on the lake!

Spacious and bright, with large decks, beautiful views, and easy parking! At 1400 sq feet, it is perfect for small or large gatherings!

Located on the sunny side of the lake and just minutes to Highway 101 (the gateway to the greatest attractions of the Olympic National Park), lies the perfect base for your family's Pacific Northwest vacation: this delightfully comfortable 1400 sq ft 2 bedroom home!

Most homes on Lake Sutherland you have to hike down rickety stairs covered in slime and moss, hoping you won't slip and fall, to reach your home away from home. Not here!  Parking is just a few feet from your door.

Imagine relaxing with 180 degrees of beautiful lake and mountain views on the 500 sq ft deck, perhaps lounging in the amazing hot tub, recalling your adventures after a fun day spent at Hurricane Ridge or Sol Duc Hot Springs, planning an exciting hike through the Hoh Rainforest, or enjoying that book you finally have time to read!

The stunning views can just as easily be enjoyed inside, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows in a gorgeous vaulted living room with rock fireplace. The airy and bright great room design also includes a full-sized kitchen stocked with dishes, cutlery, and cookware, and a dining area that seats 8.

Completing the main floor is a private bedroom with a comfortable king bed and ample closet space, as well as a full bathroom with a tub and shower, and a laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer.

Upstairs is a spacious, separate bedroom with two double beds and a half bath, as well as a loft area with another double bed, plus a kids play area, and more of those terrific views!

Enjoy the pure northwest air and majestic scenery when you sit out with your family and friends on the huge main floor deck, or cool off by diving into the lake from the 250 sq ft lower deck.

Yet another place to enjoy the view: relaxing in our hot tub! Seating for six, and overlooking the lake. Step easily from the extended deck into the hot tub!

We genuinely care about each of our guests! We have heard from you, that in the height of summer the house can get very hot in the afternoon. We are very happy to say that we have installed air conditioning, which keeps the house very comfortable! We have also added a double toaster, electric coffee bean grinder, a blender, and baking pans!

Another great amenity is cable TV with NFL package and access to your Netflix account, as well as WiFi! Enjoy your well-deserved down time by cheering on your favorite team and catching up on your shows. TVs are placed in the living room and in the downstairs bedroom!

Additionally, to enhance your stay, we have a stand up paddleboard and a canoe, fishing poles, boogie boards, and oodles of life jackets, in sizes from infant to adult! We have had such fun exploring the lake, and we know you will too!

Whether you are exploring all that the Olympic National Park offers, or you just want to live lake side for spell and soak in the splendor, this house is the perfect place to be!

Great Lake spot!
We loved the location! So beautiful right on the lake. We had one cozy rainy day and one sunny day! Our boys loved the hot tub and jumping in the lake from the dock.

Truly the best spot on the lake!
Just spent four days here and loved it! Listing is exactly as described. Comfortable and warm. Owners answered a couple issues on check in. (Couldnt figure out how to wake up the lock). March wasnt the right time of year to canoe, but it was there if we wanted it. A bonus was they are truly dog friendly and have doggy bags in a box next ti the trash can.immediately.

Tranquil Getaway with a Dose of Freedom Birds
What a stunning setting! We had an absolute amazing time. Relaxing in the hot tub or inside enjoying our coffee and watching the bald eagles in the morning was magnificent. This home was so well stocked and much appreciated! We had a blast canoeing even though it is January! The home is located in a great location with easy access for meals and close to Olympia National Park.

Quiet Fall/Winter Getaway on the Water
Property was as described, a bit worn (furniture/rugs) but comfortable. Best part was full floor to ceiling view of the lake and snow capped mountain, and having fireplace. Very close to neighbors so need to repair side blinds in living area for privacy. AlsoAlso

Great location
This place is truely the best spot on the lake! Its in a great location, close to the main road and easy to find. Also close to town for your essentials. Kelsi is nice and responds right away. We had an issue with getting in the rental, the second time late at night (error on my part). And she responded right away and helped us out.

I had been wanting to make a trip to this area for a long time. When i found this listing, i knew it was perfect for what i wanted to experience. The home is older but well maintained and clean. The view with all of those windows, gives an outdoor feel while indoors and it's absolutely gorgeous! I woulddefinitelytheagain.

Great Location & View!
We loved our stay at this home! PRO's: Amazing view of the lake!! Parking is at the front door for easy unloading & loading Comfortable beds AC unit is small but helps on warm days Water items (canoe, paddle board, life jackets) Hot tub Heavy duty floor fans to use on warm days CON'S: Paddleboat is old & missing 1 of the 2 back supports, so it's unusable. The kitchen frying pans are in REALLY bad condition and need to be replaced regularly as needed. 1 of the 2 window blinds on the vaulted ceilings were broken. The house gets full sun in afternoon, so it would be nice to lower both the blinds to keep the house cooler. Overall our stay was great! I was in love with the vaulted ceilings and wall of windows that allowed us to have a full view of the lake and mountains.. stunning! For this reason we have already booked our trip for next summer :) *My one request for the home owners is to stay on top of items that need to be fixed or replaced. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

If you’re reading this… Book this house! You can’t beat this location & the house comes with lake toys to enjoy when many of the other lake homes don’t offer that. So many incredible memories made! We will be back!

Wonderful!
We loved every minute of our stay in this cabin. The cabin was roomy and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. It was hard to leave to go anywhere bc it was such a nice place and plenty to do right there. The view of the lake was stunning and we could not have been happier with our stay. The deck and dock were perfect for enjoying views of the lake, swimming, paddleboarding, floating, canoeing, just fabulous! We also loved the hot tub. It was very hot while we were there but the ac made a big difference and as soon as the sun went below the mountains the house quickly cooled off and was very comfortable for sleeping. We really appreciated the paddleboard, kayaks and canoe as well. This place is just wonderful 10/10 and we feel so grateful we could stay here. Thank you!

The view!
This location is beautiful. The sunrise and sunset are incredible. My husband and boys fished every evening, caught some trout. The water is so clear and blue. We saw a pair of bald eagles every day. They have everything you need while you're in the area: fishing poles, camp chairs, coolers, life vests, beach towels. Very well appointed. Some of the Roman shades weren't working or were missing and they really are needed because the big windows face south. Luckily, the nights got cool and they have many fans. Overall a great place to stay.

Beautiful setting and great location; disappointing cleanliness at check-in
Location of this property is great for exploring the Olympic Peninsula, and the deck and views are even more amazing than shown in the pictures. However when we arrived the home had not been cleaned and we had difficulty contacting the owner. Eventually the owner did send another cleaner but it meant we lost an evening in the property while it was being cleaned. The backup cleaner mentioned this had happened before with the regular cleaner, so we would recommend checking with the owner on whether they've found a reliable cleaning service before you book this. Owner was appropriately apologetic and refunded a night, which was highly appreciated, and we enjoyed the property the next day and night. It's clearly a well-loved family home and is a little worn but the deck, views, and location can't be beat. Canoe was a great addition as well and we enjoyed using it the last morning. Paddle boat was missing a backrest so wasn't useable. We weren't sure about the cleanliness of the hot tub due to very cloudy water but the owner explained that was due to the lake water in the tub and the sanitation level was good. One member of our group used the tub and enjoyed it.

Amazing view and location
Absolutely loved this place! This was the best lake house! My family loved it! It had so many options for the kids and adults from paddle boards, paddle boats, and a canoe. Just 20 minutes from port angles, and right next to lake crescent in the Olympic national park. I will stay here again!

Great Location
We stayed 3 nights at this property and wish we could have stayed longer! The house was cute and comfortable, and the view of the lake is stunning. Check in/out information was thorough and clear and the owners were quick and kind when responding to my communications with them. Easy access to Port Angeles and many parts of Olympic National Park are within an hour drive. We loved getting to use the deck and canoe and there was a wide range of life jacket sizes available for use. Highly recommend this property and will definitely try to stay again if we come back to the area.

We are so excited to share our home with you! Our favorite things to do when we stay at the lake are paddleboard, swim, have BBQs, and feed the resident duck family! In the winter we love a roaring fire, board games, and enjoying the tranquil, refreshing views! The hot tub is wonderful year-round! We hope you enjoy our home and the Olympic Peninsula as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

Outstanding, unmatched views, and unique for having three key features that are rare for homes on Lake Sutherland: direct and easy lake access, ample parking right at the door, and sun ALL DAY. There isn't any other property available on Lake Sutherland like ours! In addition, we have a six-person, private hot tub!

There is plenty of space in our home for gatherings, and yet it is still inviting for intimate retreats.

This house is absolutely perfect for a getaway! Come stay and make marvelous memories!
