About the host

I enjoy being a creative person, I spend time with my camera capturing images, I have a background in Design and Photography. I love cooking from scratch and slow living, permaculture design and clean living.
Originally from down under, but I've been in Arvada since 2001.

Why they chose this property
OMG, I love dinner at home, hosting friends and sitting around the fire pit listening to Jazz and blues through the surround sound outdoor speakers. I love an early morning stroll to Olde Town Arvada and getting some fresh pastries from the bakery or sitting at a cafe taking in the ambiance of the olde town vibe.
The G-line train stop is also there and in 18 mins I can be in Downtown Denver for a game, or a concert or a catch up with friends. It's a charming, established negibourhood.
Close to Red Rocks, a hop-skip-n-a-jump to the freeway and you're heading up I-70 to the mountains for a hike or a soak in a thermal pool, or for an afternoon of snowboarding at one of the ski resorts.
Boulder is not too far away and can be easily accessed with a car. Visiting Rocky Mountain National Park, trail ridge road is still one of my favorite drives to take out of town visitors on.
A local park for the kids is a short stroll away, not too far from Costco, Target and Home depot for essential supplies and walking distance to Natural Grocer, for those that care about clean / pesticide free food - this is the place to shop.
Those into fitness and the gym or grabbing a protein shake while watching pro-bodybuilders train, the world famous Armbrust Pro Gym has all the state of the art equipment to help keep you pumped.
Two Rec centers are a short drive from the house for the not so elite athletes that might want to take the kids for a swim or something a little less strenuous.

What makes this property unique
It's a combination of bohemian artifacts and textiles that I collected from travels to Morocco and Mexico, it's influenced by my love of Arizona and southwestern design. My love of permaculture and my own desire to see more accessible outdoor spaces drove the design of this yard. wide pathways, beautiful lighting and the smell of a real fire are all things that help ground us from the chaos of a busy life. This house, is a home. It's not your typical short stay. It's relaxed and homey-casa vibes.
