Your private oasis in the heart of the Village in downtown La Jolla!  This single-level, first-floor condo is nestled in a small enclave of beautifully landscaped condos in downtown La Jolla Village, and walking distance to every possible amenity -- shops, restaurants, museums, galleries, movie theatres, parks, comedy clubs – and the ocean! 
 
Minutes by car to UCSD, Scripps Institute of Oceanography, Birch Aquarium and La Jolla Shores, and just a short drive north to Del Mar or Pacific Beach/Mission Bay.  The airport and downtown San Diego are approximately 20 minutes to the south, depending on traffic and time of day.  The biotech and high tech industries, most major hospitals, USD and SDSU are all within 10-30 minutes by car.
 
Take advantage of San Diego’s wonderful year-round climate on the large private patio with wood decking and space for dining, entertaining, or just peaceful coffee or cocktails at your leisure.  Mature landscaping (gardener included) encourages relaxation, and there’s even a couple of raised garden beds ready for growing your own herbs and tomatoes if you’d like.
  
The kitchen, dining area and living room create an open “great room” feeling, overlooking the private deck and yard, with a gas fireplace and SmartTv (WiFi provided for your work and streaming convenience).
 
The kitchen is a chef’s dream starting with a Thermador gas range, all stainless steel appliances, a pantry and extensive granite counter tops.  The rich wood cabinetry creates an elegant feel -- and the perfect setting for the simplest meals to your more elaborate creations.  Plenty of glassware, dishes, utensils and serving pieces for your dining and entertaining needs.
 
The tastefully decorated 2bd/2ba condo features a spacious master suite with ensuite bathroom, double vanity, walk-in closet, large walk-in shower, desk and SmartTV.  Windows face the deck and patio, including a private glass door to the deck, filling the room with light and sunshine all year.  The second bedroom incorporates an office with excellent lighting, several windows for natural light, and a sofa bed for guests.  The second bathroom is just off the hallway between the two rooms.  Both bathrooms and shower include handrails for less-abled bodies, with a built-in seat in the master shower.  You’ll have a full-size washer/dryer in the utility room just inside the front door.

This small community consists of two buildings of four units, for a total of eight units, separated by a common open space in the center.  The gated underground parking includes two parking spaces and an elevator in addition to stairs, and is open above to the interior walkways and space between the two buildings, ensuring each unit stays private and quiet.
 
Whether you are on sabbatical, work-from-home away from home, or extended holidays in Southern California, you will instantly feel at home … and likely won’t want to leave!  We live nearby and are happy to offer everything from dining recommendations to local highlights, insider tips and anything in between.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay here. Location is really great for shopping, restaurants and groceries. Our host Rowena was amazing. Responded almost immediately and took take of everything we asked for in a timely manner.

Walking distance to EVERYTHING! Walk to the beach, walk to restaurants, museums, symphonies, theatre, grocery stores, boutique shops and comedy clubs...this is truly the heart of the Village of La Jolla, one of the most desirable and sought-after areas in Southern California.

La Jolla Cove is just down the street. The famed Prospect Street with galleries and restaurants overlooking the Cove and La Jolla Shores is mere steps away. The La Jolla Art and Wine Festival is just down the street. Several performing arts venues nearby. You will enjoy more restaurants within a few blocks than you can possibly eat in during your stay!

This condo is one of only eight in a small, gated community, which keeps it quiet and secure, yet close to everything this area has to offer.

What makes this property unique

Rarely does a condo have so much private outdoor space!! A patio you can dine on -- enjoy coffee in the morning and tea or wine in the evenings -- with access from the master bedroom as well as the living room areas.

Extensive decking on two sides, with mature shade trees yet plenty of room for lots of sun! Extra patio chairs are available, and raised garden beds for those with a green thumb.

Gated underground parking for two cars -- an exceptional and rare benefit in the heart of the Village! We can also include two adult beach cruisers so you can leave the cars in park when you want to venture a little further from home.

Meal prep is a delight in this true Chef's kitchen, spacious and well-appointed to please all palates. Don't forget to enjoy the gas fireplace for cool evenings or simple ambiance at the end of a nice day.
