Master bedroom (King) on top floor, Large Open family room shared with eating area. 4 bedrooms on 2nd floor with 2 oceanfront (one king one queen) bedrooms and 2 rooms in the back facing the street. One with a full/twin bunk and the other with a queen and 1 set of twin bunks. 1 Jack and Jill bathroom on one side and 2 full bathroom on other side. Elevator, TVs in every room, nice sized pool, two refrigerators 1 upstairs and one downstairs, with a wonderful view of the ocean.

Sette Family Vacation

Great time

Great location. Worked well. Loved staying on the ocean front. Worked great as the 18 mth old could stay with an adult and be right there on the beach and/or watch the beach. Kids loved the beach and pool.

Awesome Beach vacation

This house was perfect for our family vacation. It has everything you need for fun in the sun. Perfectly located on the beach and having the pool was definitely bonus. Would definitely recommend this place!

Family Getaway

We enjoyed adult children, cousins, and spouses getaway. This house had the room and conveniences for us. The location of beachfront w/pool and hot tub was just perfect. We appreciated the owner’s attentiveness to answering questions timely. We’d recommend.

Great house at a spectacular location!

The house had everything we needed for a fun and comfortable stay! The kids loved the bunk beds and all the toys and books available. We all slept so well in the beds. You can’t beat the location with the amenities the house offers. The owner was helpful and great with communication. Would stay again in a heartbeat. We had an amazing week!

Reunited and it feels so good

My adult siblings and all of our families stayed at Carrigan's place several years in a row when our children were growing up and we loved it. For several years we opted to go to other places just to mix things up. Last year we decided to look up Carrigan's place again and we booked it for this summer and we are so glad we did! The renovations to the house are absolutely gorgeous and our stay was fabulous. Chris was readily available to answer questions! Everything about Carrigan's Place is amazing: the house the location, the beach, the pool, and the hot tub! I'm so glad I was able to share this magical place with my grandchildren! Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Perfect Family Beach Getaway

At the end of an amazing week, my 9-year-old realized he never left the property. Because he never had to! This place has everything you need to unplug, getaway, and relax. Remote enough to avoid crowds, but close enough for grocery trips to not be too painful. This place was ideal for our family of 8 adults and 6 kids. The host was super helpful and responsive. I genuinely cannot think of a better beach vacation spot!

A little piece of paradise

Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us. We absolutely loved our stay. The house was perfect. The location is unbeatable. We saw dolphins swimming multiple times a day. The new hot tub was a hit. We were so impressed to see items that we would have needed to buy there such as soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, some coffee and paper products. The owners were very responsive. We definitely recommend.

Nice Stay in a Once Great House

Overall our stay was enjoyable, but for the price we paid, we just didn't think this house lived up to expectations. It is clearly a nice house that used to be top of the line, but the house is older and has many issues that the homeowner needs to address to make this a 5 star stay. Pros: Beuatiful view, you feel like you are on the beach, because you kind of are, great layout for common area on 3rd floor for big groups, starter paper towels, TP, and trash bags available, soaps available in kitchen and laundry room, puzzles and games available in the house, beach toys and outdoor games (cornhole), and the pool and hot tub are nice (but we had issues with both).. Cons: We had to make our own beds upon arrival, pool was very dirty at check in and had trash in the filter, beach chairs left out mostly broken, Hot Tub did not work for entire stay and it took a while to have pool guy come out a second time, seems like there was a leak in the pool, had to keep filling it up, and place advertises pool heater, but it wasn't working during our stay (and owner said they usually charge extra for), few options for food delivery, but insta-cart delivers groceries, TONS of flies and no screens on back doors/windows, so any time the door was left open to hear the ocean, I had to spend 10 minutes swatting at flies to kill all of them. We also were staying there during Hurricane Ian, which was kind of fun, but unfortunately Ian did a lot of damage to what is left of the sand dunes, so I hope the local authorities can schedule the beach for nourishment soon, as there is very little beach left at high tides. You can tell this used to be a fantastic property, but unfortunately there is a lot of maintenance that needs to be done on this house (decking had nails sticking up just a bit that my daughter cut her foot on once) in order to justify the price point of this stay. Overall we had a nice time, we just didn't really love the place for the price.,

Family Vaca 2022

Excellent property and communication with owner. We had large family with babies and children, accommodations were excellent. There was mold on the air vents in the main living area when we arrived however this cleaned off easily with Clorox wipes which were available. We were disappointed the hot tub didn’t work all week although they had service people working on it each day in attempt to get it working. Pool was cleaned regularly. Excellent location; highly recommend!!!!!

Memories Made

Carrigan Place was a perfect spot for our family to spend a week together! The house had everything we needed with lots of space to scatter if needed. Having the ocean steps away was so fun!! After the beach time, we gathered in the pool!! Plenty of beach chairs and pool toys! The extra fridge was a so convenient and needed. The elevator made unpacking the car and for groceries so much easier! If I come back to Topsail, I want to stay here!! It isn’t easy getting 5 teenage boys, two sets of parents, and a set of grandparents together these days!!

Family vacation 2022

Just home from a week of FUN IN THE NORTH CAROLINA SUN! Carrigan's place is a very nice vacation home and served our purpose as a family vacation. 6 adults and 7 children ages 3 to 10. We had beautiful weather(a couple of days there was a late afternoon shower) Adults and children enjoyed the pool, the ocean the beach. Carrigan's place sits back off the main road at the north end of Topsail Island. It was a quiet, relaxing family home with everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of sand toys, pool floats, a boogy board as well as a surf board, beach chairs and umbrella. The beach was very nice to walk and there were plenty of beautiful shells. The only reason I gave 4 stars for cleanliness was we found several pieces of of paper trash in one of the bunk rooms. We were a 3 generation group and we were ALL able to rest, relax and make memories for a lifetime! We would all return to North Topsail and Carrigan's Place. If you go you WILL NOT be disappointed!

Perfect Beach House!

Well appointed, well stocked, everything you need. Best front row ocean view through full frontage windows along long ocean front porch. Excellent decking, pool, hot tub. Friendly owner. A little remote from good restaurants.

Warm Christmas on the Beach!

The space, decore and view of this house was amazing! The property is literally on the beach and we were mesmerized daily, of the sunrises and sunsets! There were a few hic-ups but I really appreciated the owners quick reply and communication when I informed him of an issue.

Great property, very well equipped with everything you need. The owner is great to work with. We loved the house, the pool and hot tub were a great plus. The elevator was amazing for loading and unloading. Living room was perfect for movie night after a fun day at the beach.

So happy!

Our family had a wonderful stay! (wife/mother of 4 reviewing) Kitchen well stocked and was perfect, well laid out to be able to cook all meals. Rooms/beds very comfortable. Ample space in the laundry room with great working washer/dryer. Right on the beach. My favorite part was all the windows on the main level, I was able to enjoy the view while making meals, having a solitary morning coffee in the eating area!! Elevator was a huge help! The pool was awesome. Everything was well maintained. Grocery store only 15min scenic drive away. I literally cried when we left, our family LOVED staying at Carrigans Place. Thank you! ** I didn't rate contact with owners, because we didn't have to contact the owners for anything. Everything well labeled and in working order **

We currently live in Raleigh, NC. I am a native while Chris grew up in Massachusetts. We have 5 daughters. We built this house 20 years ago when our oldest was 5 months old. Our children have grown up at this house with years of memories playing on the beach.

Why they chose this property

We built this house with Chris's parents. In 2011 we lost Chris's father so this house holds dear to our hearts. He loved and cherished this beach house. We hope you can create some great memories as we have over the last 20 + years.

What makes this property unique

We put the elevator in for the elderly, or anyone needing special assistance as well as carrying luggage and groceries. We love the privacy of the beach. The pool is a fun afternoon activity after a wonderful day on the beach that offers plenty of shade at your private Tiki bar. Most recently installed a new hot tub 2023 and just love it!
