About this property

Artistic, multi-level home minutes walk to the beach, shops and restaurants

Casa de Colores is situated just 3 blocks from Tenacatita Bay's 5 miles of sandy beach and beautiful blue ocean. The home has everything one needs for the perfect vacation.
Casa de Colores contains multiple levels and ways we can make the home available to accommodate your stay.
Our charming Garden Suite on the lower level: Upon entering the home from the street, you are greeted by an outdoor shower to rinse off that salt water and sand you may have found on the beach. Then it is 6 steps up to the door leading to the Suite. Once inside, you have access to a private outdoor living space with dining table and a hammock. The interior of the suite has a full bathroom, full kitchen, bedroom and living room. There are built in couches in the living room that can be used as an additional sleeping space.
The Master Suite has the same entrance as the Garden Suite and shares the outdoor shower. The difference is that you walk up a flight of stairs to the second level which boasts a large and stylish kitchen with a dining terrace on one side. The other side of this floor houses a spacious master bedroom with a walk in closet and bathroom. Then before you head up to the third floor, you walk through the partial outdoor cupola living room.
The rooftop on the third floor features a 360 degree view of sea and mountains, half covered with a tiled roof and half open to sun and stars. And wait, there's more! A decorative cupola bedroom with full bath and private terrace also occupy the third floor as well as another dining area and outdoor grill area.

Our names are Jason and Molly. Molly was born in the Taos area and I in Chicago. We have been together for 22 years and have owned our home for 6 years. Our family also includes our dogs Cleo and Joe. We bought our home in Mexico as a place to escape the desert and spend time on the beach with hopes that one day we can spend more time there.
We spend a lot of our free time playing in the outdoors. Rafting in the summer and skiing in the winter are our favorites. We love to travel and do so any chance we get. I am the Director of Improv Medicine as well as Operations Manager for a team of IT Architects at TD Bank and Molly works with nonprofits, assisting with everything from event management to board and advisory council participation. Why they chose this property

We choose La Manzanilla because it is a small, rural and authentic Mexican village that has not been overtaken by tourism. The community is very friendly and accepting. The surrounding area still has untouched beaches, pristine nature and plenty of good food.

What makes this property unique

Our home is quite large and has a very open concept. Good airflow keeps it generally cool. There are many areas to hangout throughout the house. It is a four minute walk to the beach and to the center of town where you can find anything you may need which means a car is not necessary, unless you are looking to venture out and explore on your own.
