About this property

This beautiful Lake Superior cabin that sleeps six [ two bedrooms plus an open loft that has a queen size hide a bed ] is situated in a harbor with a great view of Brockway Mountain and the Copper Harbor lighthouse. A short bike ride will take you to the town of Copper Harbor which has many great restaurants and gift shops. Fort Wilkin's State Park is a short walk away. The Area is known for its great mountain bike trails and kayaking. Rentals are available for both sports. Sit near the open fire and enjoy the beautiful sunsets and northern lights over Lake Superior. We have two kayaks that may be used at your own risk. Paddles and lifejackets are in the storage shed for your use.

2nd visit

We were fortunate enough to be able to stay at the house at the same time of year last fall. 1st time I’ve ever stayed in the same place twice and that’s because the place is perfect for me. There’s absolutely no beating the location. Long walks every day, amazing sunsets; and even when the weather didn’t cooperate it was peaceful space full of interesting local history to read up on. Thank you for sharing your home with our family.

Nature lovers paradise

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house was perfect. The views were amazing. Watching the wildlife, the sunsets or the fog rolling in were a highlight of our day. Exceptional!

Wildlife, nature, sunsets, and stars abound at this sweet cabin on the shore. We felt welcomed and at home from the first moment we arrived and appreciated the ease of communication with Keith and Muriel. The busy red squirrel made us laugh and the amazing skies left us quietly humbled. The property's location and included amenities gave us a fresh perspective on Copper Harbor and provided new adventures in a place we have visited and loved for many years. Everything was perfect!

Peaceful Getaway

We stayed at this lovely home for a peaceful getaway and peaceful it was. The property and house is beautifully maintained and had everything we could have ever wanted or needed. The host Muriel was kind and responsive and last but not least the view and sound of Lake Superior right outside your door was sublime. Will definitely stay here again. A dream vacation!

This cabin is absolutely perfect. The sunsets are amazing. The ammenities both inside the cabin and outside are wonderful. The cabin was impeccably clean when we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. We hope to be back one day!

Cabin on the Lake

We had the best time at Copper Harbor in this beautiful cabin on the lake. The property is gorgeous with breathtaking views of Lake Superior and Brockway Mountain. The cabin is super clean with all of the amenities to make yourself right at home. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need and there is a cute little grocery store in town that has all of the necessities. There is plenty to do between the nature walks during the day and for the evenings, they have a good selection of movies and games to play. It was one of best vacations I have ever had. This is a perfect spot to spend some quality time with the people you love. I highly recommend.

Fantastic property

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The house is well laid out, clean and inviting. Some of the most amazing sunsets ever! The fall colors against the Lake Superior background are incomparable. A very hard place to leave.

Very peaceful and relaxing!

Home was beautiful and very well appointed. Had everything we needed and provided us with the peace, quiet and tranquility we were looking to enjoy. Very close to mountain biking trails and easy to get into town when we wanted.

Great place to unplug

We had a wonderful stay at the lake house. Four adults and a baby. The home was wonderful, just as described. We brought kayaks (the calm days were amazing on the lake), bikes (we rode everywhere, the roads in the area are dirt but easy to ride), and fishing poles (no fish in the harbor, you'll need to fish another area). The kitchen has everything you need, we cooked all our meals in the home. The cabin is furnished in wonderful decor to display the area. The highlight of our trip was the Aurora Borealis that we saw two nights in a row. Find a north sky to see them fully. We went up Brockway mountain. The home faces west and you'll have the most amazing sunsets! The owners respond quickly and were great to work with. We had a perfect few days and would highly recommend this home.

Absolutely Perfect!

The location and views were positively amazing! The home was relaxing and beautiful…we knew it was perfect the second we opened the door. The home had everything we needed for cooking, the beds were comfortable, and the home was very clean and cozy. We loved the privacy, but also the proximity to downtown Copper Harbor and Brockway Mountain. We enjoyed the calming waves, breathtaking sunsets, and scenic hiking. We will definitely be back! Muriel and Keith were great and we thank you!

Amazing!!

This property is incredible!! The cabin is absolutely beautiful and has been meticulously decorated, cleaned, and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. And the VIEWS!! WOW!! You basically have your own private beach with absolutely stunning views (in and out of the cabin) of the lake. We watched eagles, beaver, deer, and lots of hummingbirds :). The sunsets were breathtaking! The hosts were wonderful, as well - super accommodating and helpful. We never wanted to leave!!

Absolutely phenomenal!

The Location has the most incredible Copper Harbor view. The waves crashing can be heard from every room. The ‘cabin’ was Very clean, comfortable, nicely appointed, and well thought out. The flames of the heater were beautiful & added to an already amazing atmosphere + it was easy & efficient. My pup Louie loved it too!

Perfect Place In the UP

The two of us had a wonderful stay at Keith and Muriel's cabin. All the amenities you need and more are here, cookware, dining ware, gas grill, smart tv, gas fireplace, games, and more. The place absolutely lives up to the photos on the listing and is even prettier in person. The lake side of the cabin faces due west and the sunsets are gorgeous. It's a very short drive into Copper Harbor, restaurants , and shops (you could bring no food supplies and stop at the wonderfully stocked The Genny general store and get everything you need for meals, snacks, drinks, and more) yet is tucked away along a private road that feels absolutely secluded. It was only the two of us this time but there is plenty of room to accommodate two couples or a small family. We didn't have need to go up to the second level at all except to grab some games. Can't really find a fault with our stay, if I was going to nit pick I'd say it gets windy on the lake and the gas grill wouldn't stay lit, but that was ok too, with a fire pit 30 feet away and lots of nice big rocks to roast veggies on it worked out even better. If ever the chance arises in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Perfect

This property is almost perfect. The view and closeness to the water is unbelievable. Property is clean and has almost anything you could need. WIFI works great, gas grill, nice fridge, small but nice bathroom. Owners are great and very responsive. Quiet yet close to town. Great sunsets. Only drawback for us is the shore and in the water is all rocks so swimming is not the best. But that was not enough to reduce our rating. One suggestion is to make sure you either bring condiments you want or be prepared to buy them at the store. Same with seasonings. Nice furniture and beds as well as dishes etc.
