Chose location close to family, and it was great. Small, but everything we needed. Back deck and grill was bonus that we enjoyed

Short stay might be OK
Host was great at responding to our issues. Comfortable bed and fluffy towels. Within walking distance to our family. OK for a quick weekend stay, but had many issues with the overall condition of the kitchen especially if using it to cook meals. House needs updating and deep cleaning.
Cute house with lovely big redwoods close to the lake.

Disappointed
The kitchen was dirty. Tea kettle on stove, dirty coffee pot, left over food in fridge. Had to clean oven before we used it for Christmas dinner. Had to clean any utensils or pots as well. No hot water in kitchen so cleaning was difficult. The info states 4 bed, but there only 3 with sitting room. The heat kept dropping to 60 so constantly had to adjust. There was a lot of items in all closets, difficult to find space for our clothes. House looks as though it is being used as a storage unit. POSITIVE: rest of house clean, nice showers, good location
This place was perfect for the 4 of us. Easy to find and only 20 minutes to the 60 acre park. Groceries are only 5 minutes away as well. The lake is right there and the walking path was very nice. The house is cozy and comfy. We enjoyed our stay.
Great location, quiet and has everything you need to be comfortable. The beds are comfy and the host is quick to reply. If we are ever here on business again ww hope house is available.
Cute little house in a quiet residential neighborhood. Easy walk to shopping, Starbucks; etc and neighborhood is very walkable Trail along lake is still under construction and down a steep hill. Good fast internet connection. No dishwasher.
Clean and neat. Good location for us.
As we were traveling Friday , did not get email till after we were there.
Not the easiest to use the VRBO email system.
The light over the kitchen table quit working , did not cause us a problem, believe it is the switch.
Will use again ,worked great for us.
Thank you !

The location of the property was in a very quiet part of town which we liked.
When we first walked into the house, we noticed the dead flowers on the kitchen table. They had clearly been there for a while. The guest queen bed sheets were stained. Both bathrooms already had loofas in the showers. Not sure if they were used or not, but we definitely werenāt going to test the waters on that. Also, the guest bathroom hand towel had what looked to be a brown makeup stain on it. Not sure if it was just a stain or if it hadnāt been cleaned, but we werenāt going to take a chance to find out. There was also a used washcloth in the other bathroomās shower. We were informed after we left that the bidet in the guest bathroom was broken. It was never touched/used during our stay. Hard to believe we broke it when it was never touched. It could have been broken when it was last cleaned. This place had advertised that there was a private beach access but you needed to have the owners let you in. Very inconvenient when you are tied to their availability and canāt access a beach without their ability. Overall the place was nice, in a very quiet neighborhood, and a perfect location for everything that we did during our stay. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of certain things or lack there of were noticeable. Who knows how long it had gone without being cleaned.
We had a delightful four-night stay here! Lots of nice meals around the cozy dining table -- and some silly, jubilant card games, too.
Wendy was super-responsive on any questions we had. The nearby lakeside walk was a joy, even on a slightly rainy day. And for the people who still needed to boot up laptops a couple times (shame!) internet connectivity was reliable, fast and easy
This was a cozy beach cottage. I wouldn't describe it as "luxury" but it was comfortable and met our needs. Two most important things in any rental are comfortable beds and good water pressure in the showers. This little house checked both boxes. Wendy was great at responding to our questions. There aren't many rentals in this area and we were thankful she chose to share her property with renters such as ourselves.
The location was very convenient to Bellevue and activities. The weather was rainy so we did not attempt to visit the public access to the lake. The house set up was convenient for 2 couples and 1 young child. The yard could use some TLC to make it more pleasant and the kitchen some attention. Overall, for the money, it was a good place for us to meet with family.
It was just perfect for a short getaway for my family! Very peaceful! Wish the beach was closer but still very pleasant and it was just a short drive but well worth it , weather could of been a lot better though! owner/manager was wonderful and very helpful!
We had a very comfortable stay at the house. Neighborhood was so quaint and full of charm. Just one hiccup with the propane tank being empty but we were able to get it filled and ready to bbq. The house had everything we needed and it was nice to have access to the beach just down the street. Would love to stay here again.
House reminded me of a summer cottage. We werenāt there much, but it suited our purpose. Overall, house was neat. Yard could use a bit of attention. Would have been nice to know there was a boat parked in the driveway.

A Hit with Some Misses
First of all, this property overall was clean, the bedrooms were comfortable with nice linens, the keyless entry was easy, and it was mostly as it was represented. Wendy communicated by email very well.
My complaint was the state of the kitchen drawers, cabinets, and pantry area as well as the storage areas around the house. In the kitchen particularly, the drawers were jumbled and unorganized, without any clear thought to what a traveler would need to be comfortable and filled with unnecessary junk and half empty packages of food. When I opened and inspected the cabinets/drawers upon arrival, they gave me pause about whether this was a welcoming (and truly clean) home. The pots and pans were dirty and many cases clearly decades old. The ovenware was permanently stained. The refrigerator had opened containers of food, including open cheese and butter. The garbage can had an automatically opening lid, with no batteries, so it could not be used in that way. Also a large boat was parked in the driveway, taking up a lot of room. We wondered if someone who occupied the home quickly left prior to our arrival.
After we settled in, washing everything in the kitchen before we used it, we found the house to be mostly comfortable. It suited our needs for a place to gather our small family.
The homeowner could make small changes, most that would not cost much money, to make the home more welcoming and reassuring of care and cleanliness. This home had a damage protection fee (new to me as a HomeAway patron) and also a damage deposit. This also led me to have high expectations about the amenities and the organization of the property.
We were grateful to be able to stay in a home close to where my brother lived. If the homeowner would change the state of their kitchen and storage areas, we would consider staying at this property again.
