Cozy Cottage on Quiet Lake

Lovely seasonal cottage for rent. Catch some sun on the large deck overlooking the lake or cozy up near the living room fireplace. You can relax in the shade under a canopy of trees in a hammock. Do you fish? Great, fish from your private deck or dock. Our charming location has private swimming, WI-FI and Cable.

This quaint cottage has three furnished bedrooms with one bathroom. The layout consists of two bedrooms upstairs that sleep a total of 4. The downstairs comprises of the Master bedroom with access to a screened porch, Living room with access to deck, Full Kitchen with dishwasher and one Full bath with tub and shower combination.

Located in the cellar is a washer and dryer with ample space to store floats, canoes, kayaks and other water toys. Has a grill and fire pit next to the house.

An additional dock is available near the boat house where you can secure your boat or Jet Ski. Private Swimming area.

Activities to enjoy: In the SUMMER-swimming, tubing, kayaking, waterskiing, boating, fishing, relaxing and tennis. In the FALL- leaf peeping, kayaking, and hiking. In the SPRING- quiet and peaceful place to watch the spring come into bloom. There is tennis a few miles away.

Cozy

We had a nice girls weekend away. The house was cozy and we loved having the fireplace. The basement did have a smell to it. It was nice that there were two kayaks to use and the view of the pond was beautiful. We will definitely rent this place again.

LAKESIDE COTTAGE WITH PERFECT VIEW

The Lake view from the deck was, indeed, the focal point! We spent hours at the new table/umbrella, watching the passing boats, hearing the kids enjoy the neighborhood public beach, and watching fantastic sun rises! We even sat there under the umbrella when it lightly rained. The cottage was charming, but we found a couple of things to comment on: Be sure to check-in at the stated time . . . it was difficult to find and navigate down the narrow, dirt roads, and would be more so driving at night. We were concerned by the lack of a handrail leading to the upstairs two bedrooms, especially at nighttime bathroom breaks. We certainly enjoyed your cottage with our NH family and friends, with fond memories of enjoying the deck.

Extremely Disappointed

We arrived about 4pm and immediately could smell mold. The cottage is directly on the water which is wonderful however with the rain they received and the boats causing waves to hit cottage the basement is very wet and contaminated with mold. The air conditioner filters and vents very dirty with mold. Owner used a towel to insulate around AC opening and of course the towel was moldy and dirty. As In other reviews screens have a lot of holes in them bed uncomfortable and is only on a metal frame every time you move the bed makes a LOT of noise, no drain cover in bathroom sink can look straight into the pipe could easily lose something down the drain, oven was dirty, Keurig water container scummy. The place was cleaned before we arrived but basically a top clean and cottage furnishings very dated. We would probably have stayed for our three night booking but because of the mold making us feel sick we left the very next morning -contacted the owner before departing said she would only refund one night. It was very disappointing to have our time away ruined. Be aware if you decide to book yes the view and lake are wonderful however as in other reviews steep steeps to get into cottage, dog poop in walkway, neighbors very close.

Little paradise

Great place. Fishing straight from the deck was my favorite. There is everything you need to relax. Grill, fire pit, water was warm and clear. Awesome time.

It was just perfect for my family!! This was one of the best houses we have gone to and hope to return next year 😄. Cleanliness was above and beyond. The view right from the back porch was gorgeous. This home was so cozy we just loved everything. Thank you so much for everything.

Relaxing cottage with a great view

There was a steep road to get there but what a spectacular view! You can put the kayaks in right at the basement step. The weather wasn’t that great but we made the best of it. My only negative comment is one roll of toilet paper isn’t enough if you’re going to provide it. Other than that, we had a lovely time! They also had floats and chairs so you do t have to bring those. Well worth the money.

Great stay.

Great house right on the water! The kayaks were a great bonus! The road leading to the property and the driveway were difficult at first but got easier after knowing what we were getting into. Theres also a neighborhood dog that roams free. Without knowing this it could lead to unwanted situations. The dog was super friendly though! Also chickens occasionally roam the yard as well. Overall it was a beautiful stay with friendly neighbors!

I wouldn’t go back

There is a hole in the deck. I feel like this should be included in the listing. The grounds were not well maintained and a dog came over to poo in the yard every day. The screens all had holes in them. The basement was flooded. I would have appreciated a notification about this.

Great spot!

My friends and I really enjoyed staying at this sweet cottage right on the water. It was the perfect spot for us to reconnect. The owner should be up front about the hilly nature of the road and access to the house in case there are people with physical limitations. Also- communication could be better- was given conflicting information regarding check out.

Wonderful long weekend in fall

We had a wedding in the area and decided to make a long weekend out of it. We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful lake and sunrises, very relaxing. The grill and fitpit were a huge plus. We will definitely plan a summer stay to fully enjoy the lake.

Very Nice Cottage

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was very clean and had everything you could possibly need. the swimming area was great. Nice sandy bottom and easy access into the water. It would have been nice if we could have opened all the windows with the exception of the ones the AC's were installed in. Unfortunately we could only open 3 as all the others have fairly large holes in the screens. There was a lovely screened porch but again there were holes in some of the screens so come night time we had to close the door leading into the cottage. Upon arrival we had to spend a bit of time picking up dog feces and most days had to clean up after neighbors dogs who roam freely. I would not recommend this cottage for anyone who has a difficult time walking or climbing stairs.. The owners were great, we had a couple of issues, but when we reached out to them they were very quick at rectifying them. Again we enjoying our stay very much.

Perfect Lakefront Getaway

This home had just what we needed for two adults and 3 kids. The proximity to the water couldn't have been better. The deck was beautiful. The locals were great. A bit hard to find and the driveway is very steep but once you are there, you won't want to leave!

We live in Weare N H. We have lived here for 31 years. We own this cottage and the one next door. I'm retired and I take care of my grandchild five days a week .

the property is on Lake Horace in Weare NH about 14 miles from Manchester NH. Its far away from the city life but close enough to get into the city rat race it is quiet and nestled in the woods and quiet lake .
