About this property

New construction. 500 off. Hacienda on the beach, in beautiful Soliman Bay.

The hacienda is well appointed, right on the beach, in the heart of the Mayan coastline, Soliman Bay, Tulum.
It is very tranquilo on our property, and u will be able to observe many wild animals in their natural habitat.
The snorkeling in front of the home is FANTASTIC. On any given day you will see turtles, eels, mantar ays, eagle rays, multi colored tropical fish. We provide kayaks. The turquoise waters are very user friendly, and shallow a long ways out...making it easy for kids and seniors!
We also have 24 hour security, and can set up a cook for you.
Our little bay is residential area, surrounded by palm trees, almond trees, mangroves to the rear (yes still intact).
There are many things to see and do within a 5 mile radius..such as Xel Ha Park, and Dos Ojos Cenote.
Cenotes (underground rivers sacred to the Mayans( who are the water protectors here), are very close by and people come from all over the world just to swim or dive in them.
There are also many ruins close by..Coba a stunning jungle site, and of course the famous Tulum ruins right on the beach. There are 3 restaurants within walking distance, but you may just want to stay home and cook in your own kitchen overlooking the blue caribbean in your back yard. There are beautiful lagoons near by and the national biosphere of Sian Kaan.
You will be attended by a English speaking personnel for your stay.
Come and experience the Mayan Riviera. Welcome!
Please note, there is an extra charge for extra people, not stated on original reservation.

Fabulous Location and Experience
My spouse and daughters had a wonderful stay at this Soliman Bay home. The location was enchanting and we felt safe the entire time. We snorkeled off the beach and had sea turtles coming up at night to nest. We actually got to see a good-sized loggerhead and mark the nest for others. We also did some kayaking with the provided kayaks. The owners were not present during our stay but communicated well with us the entire time and gave great tips on activities, shopping, etc. They also had a friend available as needed. They even helped solve an issue we had when my daughter locked herself out of her room. We easily drove all over that part of Mexico using Google Maps and just set the restaurant at the end of the street where the entrance is as the return point. We always felt safe as there was security at the gate there for the neighborhood. I enjoyed having a car to explore much more than depending on a taxi or driver. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will likely be back sometime soon.

Hidden Gem in Paradise!
It was an amazing stay for us and our 2 adult children. The layout was perfect - each bedroom has a ocean view and the rooftop terrace providing a breathtaking panoramic view. The family room was ideal for us to hang out and have game nights. You’re literally 30 feet from the water and there are several kayaks that we took out into the bay for swimming and snorkeling in the beautiful Soliman Bay. The site is super safe with a security guard/gate near the entrance. There’s a great restaurant just a half mile down the beach as well. The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty but it was nice not everyone glued to their phones. Dan and Vera were extraordinary hosts answering our many questions and even giving recommendations for local dining and activities. They also provided bottled drinking water and even a couple of cold beers in the fridge. I’d highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place on the beach away from the hustle of Tulum.

Beachfront bliss!
My family stayed at the house for a week over New Year’s and it was perfect for us! My kids (1 and 3) had an amazing time playing on the beach right outside, and I loved using one of the available kayaks to enjoy afternoon paddles in the beautiful bay. The location of the house made it easy to visit Tulum and Akumal, but we also loved just hanging out at the property. Dan and Vera were warm and welcoming, and they did so much to make sure we had a wonderful visit. Thank you for the beautiful memories!

Maravillosa estancia!
Gracias

Private Waterfront at Soliman Bay
Sitting amongst a stretch of Soliman Bay 10 minutes north of Tulum, this waterfront villa is literally steps from the beach and offers panoramic views from every room. While some might like the constant hum and often busy downtown of Tulum, this property is just far enough to feel like your in your own Caribbean paradise. Dan and Vera are wonderful hosts and made the stay that much more enjoyable by making sure we felt welcome and taken care of. The property is well appointed and works perfectly as an upscale beach bungalow. If you want to stay at a resort, go to one. other wise this is a great option for those who would rather get away and make there own plan. The entire Riviera Maya is a great vacation destination and this puts you right there.

Pretty much Perfect
My husband and I spent the week before Christmas at this wonderful place. The house is just as described, sitting about 20 feet from the water in Soliman Bay. We arrived a little after dark and found a nice surprise in the fridge. Vera had made some fresh pico, guacamole and a garbanzo masala that was amazing. The kitchen has just about everything you need and the dining area looks out to the ocean. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and ceiling fans, not to mention the view of the moon coming up. We love to cook, so we did most nights, but if you need to get out there is a beautiful restaurant at the entrance gate called Pandano. In all, our stay in "The Pink House" was fantastic. Dan and Vera were the perfects hosts. We are already thinking about our next trip back.

An amazing slice of paradise with amazing hosts!
I really don’t know where to begin. This property is so much better than we could have ever imagined. Truly magical. Extremely well kept and clean home ON the beach. Our family of 4 fit perfectly with plenty of room to give each other space. Listing was exactly as described and everything was in working order. We felt like we had the entire bay to ourselves. Our goal was privacy and relaxing, and that’s exactly what we got. From walking on the quiet bay beach, to sleeping with the sliding glass doors open to let the cool sea breeze and sounds of the ocean lull us to sleep. It is what everyone needs right now! We always felt very safe and secure with our lovely hosts close by, as well as roving security guards. Do yourself a favor and rent a car, take the short trip south, and enjoy this perfect paradise. The hosts, Dan and Vera are simply amazing humans who helped us every step of the way. Two weeks there and we were very sad to see it end. A big thank you for making a very memorable family vacation we will cherish forever. We will definitely return and are glad we made such genuine, good friends along the way! xoxo

Beautiful house and staff, owner tried to pull some shady business
The property and staff were fabulous. The snorkeling off the front porch using the kayaks provided was amazing. Unfortunately the owner contacted us outside of VRBOs app and tried to charge us via PayPal for using the air conditioners (which were listed as part of the amenities in the original listing). Our host did rescind this demand later. Other than that, we had a great time. Just wish the listing was more clear about costs and fees.

A beautiful peaceful place
If you’re looking for calm and beauty, this is the place. It’s a stunning location, secluded away from the chaos in Tulum. The beach is at your front door and the caretakers, Laura and Jesus, are truly wonderful. I wanted to bring them home with me. The house is quite secluded but perfect for a vacation with adult children. WiFi is spotty so I was glad not to work at all but be prepared. We did have a few issues but host was very attentive. There was seaweed on all the beaches which was a bummer but not the fault of the hosts. Our caretaker worked endless to remove it. It’s a great place and highly recommend for a group.

The "perfect" vacation.
I write this review with complete enthusiasm and appreciation for Dan. The photos do not do the property and grounds justice. The hospitality exhibited was second to none. Just Book It
If you are going back and forth debating on if you should stay here or not, just book it. There is nothing to debate about. Dan and Vera’s place is beyond amazing and the pictures do not do their house any justice. The home was immaculate and very clean. And just like it was described, you are literally 5 steps away to the beach. Also, there is a beautiful view of the water in every room. We liked that the location was not too far away from Tulum and we felt safe at all times since we were in a secured area. We were a group of 5 and Dan and Vera welcomed us with open arms. They are the sweetest couple and always made sure we were ok and asked if we needed anything. If you need recommendations on where to eat or where to go, Dan and Vera will tell you. We miss Dan and Vera’s home and can’t wait to come back! Don’t wait, book it already. I promise you won’t regret it.

A slice of paradise with guardian angels
It would be hard to top all the other reviews as I feel the same way and then some. The hosts are so charming, they made us feel at home instantly and they were always available for anything. In addition they made it their mission to make sure we had a wonderful vacation, they planned our days with places to visit, restaurants to eat at etc. They acted as our own private concierge. The place is wonderful, a true corner of paradise, very private an secluded, it felt like being on your own private island, I feel like the pictures, even though they’re nice , don’t give it justice as it is so much more beautiful in real life. We can’t wait to come back to paradise and spend quality time with the hosts who we befriended Thank you Vera and Dan

Complete Paradise In Secluded Soliman Bay!
Oh the beauty of this incredible slice of paradise. This place is truly a dream and Vera and Daniel are the kindest, most open hearted humans. They welcome us with open arms and even officially adopted us ( haha) during our week on their sanctuary land. Vera is a wildlife lover and activist and is always making sure their property is living in accordance with the turtles and the animals that have inhabited the land long before humans. I have travelled the world and seen many a reef and I have never seen such a healthy reef right in their front yard. The snorkeling, kayaking, mangroves and beach walking soothed my soul and reset my nervous system so much that it was difficult to want to leave at all to go see the amazing ruins, cenotes and beaches very close to the house. We agreed we needed a whole month there to truly even grasp the full bounty of the area. We ended up talking story, sharing a few meals, cervezas, tepache (and Vera's delectable homemade kombucha under the stars. Man do these two have some amazing stories! Daniel is a total hoot with a mile wide friendly smile and a true knack for hospitality. They took us under our wing and called his local friend to help us and who took care of a ding in our rental car bumper. They helped us find a good clinic for our special covid tests to return to the states, helped us in our time of need and brought us beers and coconuts, towels and tacos a plenty! And I haven't even got to the most important part. THE HOUSE!!! Where do I start?? Every window in the house is literally just facing directly at the most beautiful, crystalline water. I can't even describe the deliciousness of this turquoise teal blue bursting through each window from each room. You are literally 100 ft from the ocean and sleeping there feels like you're being rocked and lulled to sleep by the ocean waves. The lookout perch (as we called it) on the top floor was a magick little capsule like a ships' lookout tower. Not to mention the top deck was quite lovely and private enough for nude sunbathing! ;) he he The Kitchen was stocked and we made the best meals in Tulum in that cocina! During the entire stay we felt like we had complete privacy on this little piece of paradise! A total rejuvenating reset, i didn't want my phone or TV when surrounded by such incredible beauty of nature. Needless to say, we will definitely be back again to Vera and Daniel's slice of Eden! Cheers

Early Jan. 2020 stay
Had a wonderful stay at the property! Dan greeted us with fresh coconuts and beer which was a nice welcome to our 1st stop in Tulum. I agree with John R.'s review and description of property and beach. It is beautiful, quiet, tranquil and very relaxing. You can't beat having your own private beach, just steps outside the property! Hammocks available to lounge in, and kayaks to explore the bay. Seaweed was very minimal and if any, I could tell that Tomas (housekeeper) worked to keep the beachfront clear while we were away. Wi-Fi is spotty, but works. Definitely recommend having a rental car to go into town and explore. We stopped at store prior to arriving for groceries- we cooked breakfast daily and had rest of our meals in town. Have a meal at Oscar and Lalo's - right down the road from property- great food and service! The house was well appointed and had most everything we needed. (fyi no hairdryers). Dan and Vera were very accommodating and helpful with any requests (needing some pepper for cooking, last min. Cab ride back to airport!, etc.). Be mindful of how many guests will be staying on the property when you make a reservation. I had originally reserved the property for 5 guests, and we ended up with 1 extra guest stay for 1 night and was charged an extra fee. We loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed one more day to just lounge around and enjoy the beautiful beach. Thank you Dan, Vera, and Tomas ❤

New Year's stay near Tulum
Stayed for a week over the New Years holiday with my wife and adult kids. Here are my key takeaways about the property. It is part of a group of four houses owned by Vera and Dan, a delightful couple who live in one and rent out the other three. They greeted us when we arrived with fresh coconuts and beer, and were attentive without being intrusive. Vera also brought us some fresh Kombucha that she had made, and it was excellent. The house itself is right on the beach at Soliman Bay, about a 15-20 minute drive north of Tulum. Soliman Bay consists primarily of individual houses, and the beach is quiet and tranquil. There is a security checkpoint at the start of the private gravel road accessing the properties, and the area felt very safe. The beach was mostly sand, with some coral here and there. We did not encounter much seaweed while we were there. There are chaises and hammocks, for lounging near the water, and there are kayaks, for paddling around the bay. The house is only a few years old, so the appliances and plumbing fixtures are pretty new. There are two main bedrooms on the second floor, each with a full bath, and a bedroom and half bath on the third floor. The third floor rooms are accessed off the roof deck, so you you have to go outside to get to them, which is a bit quirky. I can't speak for the other beds, but the one my wife and I slept in was comfortable. As for food and cooking, we stopped for groceries at the Chedraui, in Aventuras, on our way to the house, and re-stocked during the week at the Chedraui in Tulum. Both stores are modern and well stocked. Please note that while the house has a pretty good collection of pots and pans, the pantry was not stocked with many staples, so plan accordingly. Also, there is a tiny little store along the private road in Soliman Bay, for convenience. The house has wifi, but the signal isn't particularly strong, and bandwidth is somewhat limited, as the internet comes via satellite. As for restaurants, there are a few nearby, but obviously there are many more in Tulum town and along the Tulum beach road. Be aware that while it is abut 20 minutes into town, the beach road can be very congested, so plan your travel to destinations (restaurants and beach clubs) along that road accordingly, to allow enough time.

Breathtaking beauty on the water!!
I wish I was a writer!! We loved everything about our stay! Start with Dan greeting us with fresh coconuts! waking up every day to a sunrise from bed! This is great place to really chill. We went to the grocery. We cooked a lot. And we went to Oscars three times. So we loved the food!! We love Virginia at Oscars. And it is so close!! Coffee and Breakfast on the porch! Walking to Chamicos for lunch each day! Swimming, kayaking and snorkeling every day! And then there is Thomas!! We were so taken care of this quiet, humble, generous man! And Vera! What a great soul! And going into Tulum from time to time. And our last night we had a 5 star dining experience at Jashita Hotel! Exquisite. Did I say we loved our stay!

Relaxing on the beach
A truly relaxing location steps from the water. A few details of interest: - The property is along a small road with many homes/villas and a hotel, with a security gate. It's a slow drive with many speed bumps along the beach road, but many beautiful homes to see. - One of several homes on the property. Closest to the beach and relatively private. - Beautiful outdoor space including hammocks. - The bay is a mix of rocks & sand, so bring your water shoes. The beach itself is soft sand. Kids loved kayaking the (small) waves with the provided kayaks, and exploring around the very shallow bay. - There's an informal campsite/beach restaurant a short walk down the beach; very relaxing. - A/C is an extra charge in winter time due to electricity rates. The uppermost rooftop room was a bit uncomfortable but they helped us out with a fan. Be sure to ask in advance if you may need A/C. - Dan was very helpful with local accommodations, suggestions for things to see, and all our local needs. - There is almost no WiFi, which worked well for our group including 3 teenagers :). But plan accordingly. Cell service is also a bit weak on the sea.

Comfortable and quiet beachfront home
We enjoyed our stay at this house, although it turned out to be too far from town for us. We were here Christmas week and spent a lot of time and money on taxis to get into Tulum. The very fastest we got to town was 20 minutes, and the longest trip took over an hour one way because of busy roads and traffic jams. This house would be nice for someone who doesn't care to go into town very often and wants peace and quiet. It is comfortable, roomy and well stocked. The sunrises are so beautiful, and the bedrooms are set up to take advantage of that. It is lovely to wake up in the morning and look out over the ocean. My favorite part of each day was sitting on the beach watching the sun come up. Looking up at the millions of stars from the third floor patio was also a treat. Vera and Dan are very kind and accommodating, and when problems arose they fixed them quickly, except for internet/wireless issues. We were never able to connect to wireless and had extremely limited or no cell reception. The idea of being disconnected is great in theory but in reality, can be frustrating. :)

Amazing sunrises and serene surrounding.
We had a wonderful time staying in the hacienda. It was peaceful, relaxing, right on the beach with amazing sunrises and moonrises. I watched the moonrise and sunrise every day lying on the bed in the bedroom. They were the best two parts of my day. The house is well equipped with all the necessities, although wifi was spotty, which isn't a bad thing to really be away from it all. The house is simply furnished with great iconic pieces of local furniture and artwork. The kayaks are key to paddle out to the reef few hundred yards in front of the house. The reef is teeming with coral, fish and sea creatures. The snorkeling around the reef was better than our trek to Cozumel for a day. We saw a school of over a thousand fish swimming around a four foot long barracuda in the middle. Even my sixteen year old jaded son was excited. The hacienda is about 15 minutes from the town of Tulum and to the start of resort area, so you may want to rent a car. It's a pleasant drive and we were glad not to be staying in the mist of the crowded resort area. We enjoyed staying in the hacienda with our own beach. There is also a restaurant on the beach you can walk to in 8 minutes from the hacienda that has fish tacos and cervezas. Dan is very gracious, and accommodating - was always helpful if we needed anything but keep a distance to give us our privacy. He made the stay easy and no-stress. We have stayed at many rental houses over the years, and this house is very special with the beach right outside the door and the unforgettable sunrises.
