I'm terrible at writing timely reviews but my wife and I stayed here in September 2023 on our 5th anniversary trip back to Montana. We were married in the next town over from Red Lodge and love coming back to the area. As for this location, everything is as described, right down to the deer in the yard! We woke up on the first morning to one! Seriously though, this is a great, cozy little spot right in the heart of Red Lodge. We walked just about everywhere. Not only would we recommend this place to others, we'd also recommend the dinner down the street as well. And since we love Red Lodge so much, I'm betting we'll stay here again!
Spent 2 nights at this quaint little cottage for my 60th birthday! It was perfect! When we arrived I was greeted with flowers on the living room table, a happy birthday banner, and sweet little hearts in various places in the cottage! Wow! How amazing was that! We spent time in the hot tub and loved the indoor sauna! Dan is a great host and went above and beyond to make our stay extra special! If you’re looking for cozy, comfortable and enjoy the simple things in life, this is your place! We will be back!
Perfect for a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle. Quiet neighborhood and comfortable accommodation. Loved the sauna, hot tub, and deep claw foot tub. Cute decor!
We really appreciated how clean the home was, and the location to walk downtown was great. However...the BED. The entire cottage has vintage charm which is great. But the bed is highly uncomfortable, making for a very difficult couple of nights' sleep. Every move on this old wooden bed frame makes SO MUCH NOISE, not to mention the mattress itself isn't comfortable. It's also only full-size, so prepare yourself for that. Otherwise, the place was cute and cozy. But because of the bed, we wouldn't choose to stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay being close to downtown and having access to the wonderful amenities of the hot tub and sauna! The breakfast place next door was fantastic. Highly recommend.
I stayed at Oma’s cottage for two nights for a getaway. The house is very old and a bit eccentric as shown in the listing, but it was perfect for me to have a relaxing time. The sauna was amazing! I had a few minor issues, but Daniel bent over backwards to make things right and make my stay enjoyable. Good customer service hard to find anymore. Thanks, Daniel!

Quirky House
It wasn’t a terrible stay by any means but there was the issue of no air conditioning. It was so hot in the house my wife and I didn’t get a good night sleep. We turned all the fans available on and opened windows but the house stayed hot the whole time. Otherwise we thought the house was well stocked and Daniel was a really nice person to deal with. The location was very quiet as well. A window AC unit in the bedroom would have made our stay nicer. Again, Daniel was great so it’s hard for me to be too negative.
The patio area was great and so was the hot tub. Great location and easy to find. Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again in the future.
The property was cute and old. It was a nice location to trails and downtown. The property had interesting floors that slant. Only complaint is the bed. Owner should put a queen bed in the room for better night sleep. Owner was super attentive and prompt with code to enter property.
We thoroughly enjoyed the coziness of this 1915 cottage. Owners Dan and his family were very friendly, accessible. We look forward to our next opportunity to stay in the cottage.
Great location and loved hot tub. You should have a hide bed in the living room.
Thanks,
Sarah

Decent for the price
I didn't expect opulent accommodations and knew what I was getting into from the listing. That said I slept/worked out of here for a week and was luke-warm on it walking out the door.
Plus: Nice location, cute cabin, clean and comfy enough, a decent value over a hotel room. The hot-tub and sauna was a big Scandinavian plus and the owner did check the tub for regular maintenance while we were there.
Minus: The bed situation leaves a lot to be desired. No matter how comfortable with spooning they are, a full bed does not reasonably sleep 2 adults. So it struck me as strange and maybe a little resentful of past guests when I discovered the hide-a-bed was chained to the floor.
Concusion: I would maybe even give this place a 5 star rating if it weren't for the bed situation. I would be happy to stay here again if the owners get a queen bed, a washable duvet and cover, also a carbon monoxide detector.
Small quaint cabin is adorable! Intimate setting in a friendly small town. Walking distance to all the shopping and eating in Red Lodge. Highly recommend if your looking for simple, quiet and cozy!
I had a great time in that nice cottage. We met the owners and they are really nice ppl. The place is clean and there is everything you need. The hot tub is a plus . Definitely recommended.
Just right for a couple get away. Hit tube and sauna were a great touch for the rate charged. Clean with unique antiques in the different spaces. Personable owners who made time to talk about the area. Highly recommend.
Oma's Cottage was a quaint, quiet hideaway. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. We enjoyed the sauna so much. It was a perfect base for us to explore the surrounding area. Downtown area was great for walking. We enjoyed seeing the deet that wandered around the neighborhood.
A very nice and quiet place to stay.
We appreciated the hospitality.
