About this property

Welcome to The Schoolhouse – A charming cottage in historic Monticello, Florida.

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Discover this fully renovated 1926 two-bedroom gem in the heart of Monticello, Florida. Named for one of two schoolhouses originally associated with the church now housing Monticello’s Chamber of Commerce, the home still reflects its history.

From reclaimed hardwood floors to refurbished original windows, doors, and moldings, you can experience the best of modern amenities and historic charm.

A nicely stocked kitchen awaits you with modern appliances, quartz countertops, and soft-close cabinetry. A washer and dryer in the space (hidden by cabinet doors) accommodates laundry needs.

The primary bedroom features a queen bed with a Sterns and Foster mattress, white noise and charging stations on each nightstand, luggage valet, and a restored 1930s medical cabinet for personal items if needed. Its accompanying en-suite offers a vintage-style tub with an overhead rain shower, dual vanity areas, and ample storage for all your travel essentials.

The second bedroom offers a full-size daybed with a twin trundle, white noise and charging station, luggage valet, dresser, and custom-built closet for storage and/or hanging items.

Sitting on the front porch, guests can capture views of Monticello's iconic courthouse cupola, views the the 1890 Perkins Opera House, and the Monticello's Old Jail.

Parking for one vehicle under the attached carport is easily
accessible, and street parking is typically readily available.
