'About Time!' is one of the iconic honeymoon cottages that flank the beachfront of Seaside, FL! You won't get much closer to the beach than when you stay at this beautiful beachfront one-bedroom cottage! This stand-alone one-bedroom beachfront guest cottage has a prime Seaside, Florida location beachfront next door to the East Ruskin Pavilion beach access and just one block to downtown Seaside, Florida. Park your car and walk to over 35 shops and restaurants just steps from your front door; walk to iconic airstream row food trailers, the gourmet grocery Modica Market, and enjoy the Seaside Farmer's market every Saturday in the Amphitheater.

This 1 bedroom/1.5 bath beachfront cottage offers romantic accommodations for you and your significant other with panoramic ocean views and amazing sunsets from your private expansive balcony off the second floor living areas. The main level boasts a king bedroom with flat-screen TV, washer & dryer, private bath with marble shower, and private lower screened-in porch. Upstairs is a spacious living room with a queen sleeper sofa, flat screen TV, galley kitchen with compact fridge, microwave oven, and a half bath.

Just off the living room is your generous private open-air balcony with a swinging day bed and bar-top dining table for four for private beachfront dining al fresco. Enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the gulf on your private swing or watch the sunset over cocktails at your private outdoor dining table. Just steps to East Ruskin Pavilion beach access. (This cottage does not have a washer or dryer or an outdoor shower.)

Location is excellent, but About Time needs some attention

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: THis cottage--About Time--is in an excellent location! So close to everything. The balcony over-looking the beach/ocean is one of the best things about it. THe table & chairs and the railings need some work--they are falling apart.THe closets are short,so if you have long dresses or men's jackets, they don't fit.The window air conditioner in the bedroom is VERY noisy--every time it kicks on, it wakes you up.I also had a 2-inch cockroach crawl across my face one night. I swept it away--jumped out of bed to grab my phone light to find it. It was under my pillow. I captured it with toilet paper and smashed it--those suckers are hard to kill!Had to buy additional hangers for room and kleenex for each bath, because those weren't provided.I like the cottages because of their location, but I'll pick a different one next time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: About Time was a great cottage. It is a small one bedroom with 2 stories so be prepared to go up and down stairs a lot. If that is a problem then this is not the cottage for you. We really enjoyed it. The cottage was clean and housekeeping was great with bringing more towels. There were some ants in the bedroom on bottom floor but not that it was a nuisance. The view was wonderful and it is right next to the beach access.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I took a 10 year anniversary trip here by ourselves. We loved the location and design of the About Time cottage and we love Seaside! This cottage was in mediocre condition, and we were slightly disappointed. The bathroom cabinet had some kind of black dusty substance stained on it, the towel rack was broken, and the place just needed some general maintenance. There is no washer/dryer which we knew ahead of time, but there was a space in the “closet” where they used to be. It was crowded with a shelf, cleaning supplies, etc making the space completely unusable. There was not a place to hang full length clothes because of this. To top off our stay, the place was infested with ants. Not just a few here and there, they were everywhere. We were given some Raid spray to help, but it did nothing to solve the issue. It was explained that there had been an abnormal amount of rain which makes pest issues worse. I get that, but this was not just a small issue. It needed several treatments back to back in order to get rid of them. We were given a discount because of our experience which we very much appreciate. We were just hoping for a better overall experience.

There were photographers there every night taking family photos.. The beach here is stunning, clear water and white soft sands.. Staff on the beach was friendly. The lower porch is very secluded and there is a lot of nice landscaping with thick canopies. We enjoyed our time inside, although it took us forever to find the source of a faint beeping noise that never stopped. (A motion activated trash can). It wasn’t emaculate there, a few stains here and there and dust, but nothing to cry about. And the bed was so comfy. You’re also welcomed with a bottle of wine and a lovely beach bag for your stay. I’d come back here for sure and would recommend this little gem.You’re also in walking distance of a lot of shops and a variety of food. It seems a lot of families ride their bikes to get around, and we were offered two free bikes as well for our time here.

“About Time” owners (need to) renovate and upgrade worn amenities

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Homeowner’s Collection was great to work with; professional, smooth communication, and the unit was ready early. Although HC did a great job cleaning the unit as best as possible, the owners need to renovate and replace worn out/broken amenities. Granted, sand is like sandpaper on floors and carpeting and can’t be avoided, but there were large, multiple stains on couches, gross brown stain on porch swing (the other side was torn and ripped), two bedroom dressers that had rusted drawers so we had to line them with plastic grocery bags so we didn’t ruin our clothes. The dryer knob was broken so we couldn’t control the heat. Advertised as a beautiful Seaside rental, but the condition didn’t live up to what was expected based upon the description and marketing pictures. Bathroom(s) and mini kitchen were in great shape. The first time in approximately 15 visits to Seaside over the years where we ran into a unit in such poorly maintained condition. There are too many weekly rentals along the 19 mile stretch of 30A to choose a unit that is poorly maintained by owners.

It was the perfect place for us to unwind and recharge for 6 glorious days. The bikes that came with the rental were an added bonus. We enjoyed walking to the restaurants in the area. We used the Coastal Carts for the restaurants that were longer than a walk. The house is the perfect location as it is just next to the walk way to the beach, and just across from the square. The place is in a great location in proximity to the beach and the town. The deck is great to sit on and look out over the ocean. The unit is adequate and cozy. The bed is little small. The fridge is a little small and struggled to keep things cool. The utensils in the kitchen need restockng there was only 1 small spoon to stir with for coffee. A few roaches and other bugs noticed during the week.

Love the honeymoon cottages at Seaside

Reviewer Comments: We had not been to Seaside for around six years so were wondering if we would still like it—after a connecting flight and an hour from the airport. We loved it. All of the honeymoon cottages are a little different and At Last! did not disappoint. Being Gulf Front is the number one attraction. The weather was colder than expected so having a view of the water from a warm inside was key. The furnishings are very attractive and comfortable. The kitchen is on the mini side—so don't plan on making elaborate is fine for simple breakfast and lunch. My wish would be that the management provide a few small staples—salt, pepper, sugar, Sweet and Low (or sim) and unlimited dishwashing tabs (two is not enough). We highly recommend.
