Unusual, romantic apartment full of atmosphere in one of Florence's oldest areas - that once occupied by the Roman amphitheatre. Indeed, the street takes its name from one of the principal entrances into the arena. Just 50m from the church of Santa Croce Church, 200m from Piazza Signoria, 100m from Piazza del Duomo, 200m from the Uffizzi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio, and 10m from Vivoli, Florence's best known ice cream parlour!! The apartment, on the first floor of this antique palazzo, is accessed via a flight of 24 steps (no elevator). It offers 2 double bedrooms (one with a French bed - 140x200 cm ), which look onto the open plan sitting room area, a fully appointed kitchen, a marble dining table for 6. It is tastefully furnished with the owner's personal belongings and is equipped with a TV, DVD and CD player, stereo, WI-FI, dishwasher, washing-machine, air cond

Just wow!
This apartment was a dream! We loved our stay in Florence and this apartment made it all the more special. It was spacious and to say interesting is an understatement, it’s filled with incredible trinkets from all over the world. The location was excellent. We walked from the train station easily and then found ourselves in the heart of Florence. As a family of 5, the big kitchen and washing machine was an added bonus. From start to finish the booking process was easy. I would definitely recommend this magical apartment to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and spacious stay in Florence.

Charming and quirky in the best position
Fabrizio’s place is just like him - warm and quirky. Go on one of his offered tours, you’ll love it. Communication was easy, the apartment is just a few minutes from everything including all the well known sites and great food. A comfortable, home away from home to pretend you’re Italian just for a minute. Thanks Fabrizio!

Location, Location
I cannot say enough. Fabrizio met us at the train station and gave us a quick tour. The apartment was everything I expected. I want to say that I had scheduled this apt. last Oct 2013 and had to cancel at the last minute and Fabrizio was wonderful to work with. Fabrizio also scheduled and did the Siena tour with wine tasting for us and it was a wonderful day and great food. I will book this apt again when I return.

Walking in the steps of Dante
What a treat to stay in such a historic building and amazing apartment so eclectic in furnishings. Hard to beat the location. Everything so close to walk to. A bit away from the crowds. The Vivoli gelato worth the wait and it has a wine window. My only suggestion would be a bathroom mirror a bit lower so shorter people can use it.

Amazing apartment close to all amenities
Loved our stay at this property. The check in process was very easy and Diego was very accommodating as our train from Rome was delayed and then finding a taxi quite the wait. The location is fabulous, close to everything. The farthest walk we had was 25 min and that was to a tour bus. Everything else was super close with the train station a 15-20 min walk depending on the crowds. Beds were comfortable and the fans helped immensely with the heat. Overall such a wonderful experience.

Amazingly wonderful apartment in the heart of Florence
This might be my favorite stay EVER in a VRBO outside the United States. The communication with the owner prior to arriving was clear and complete (and very friendly) and check in was simple and comprehensive. The apartment itself was actually even nicer than pictured on the VRBO site, with very eclectic decorations that were fun to examine. The rooms were great, beds were comfortable, the bathroom was very nice, and the kitchen was usable with a really wonderful washing machine. A lot of extras were included that made our stay very enjoyable. The stairs to the apartment were steep and many, but we managed and it would not have been the same 13th Century building experience without them. The location is amazing—just steps from several wonderful sites, and within a 15 minute walk from everything we wanted to see. Despite how close everything is, the area isn’t touristy,which I appreciated. Nearby restaurants were great, and shopping was varied and plentiful. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and I would stay here again. Thanks for a great visit!

Property is exactly as advertised. It’s is a great location to get to everything. Most places are within walking distance. Wife and I spent 3 nights here. Assisi stay was great
Assisi was the favorite part of our trip to Italy. The apartment was in a great location and had enough space and beds for all of us and our stuff. The owner even helped us find a place to park the car and shuttled us back and forth to the spot from the apartment. Thank you!!

Our group of 3 had a wonderful stay at this quirky, fun property. The place is very centrally located and is a short walk to sights and food in Florence. The owner was excellent with communication and met us to show us how to get in and assist us with getting settled. The complimentary bottle of Chianti was a very thoughtful touch. Wonderful apartment, perfect location!
Our family of 5 adults stayed in this lovely apartment for 3 nights at the tail end of our 2-week Italian adventure. This apartment was so fun! Fabrizio was quick to respond to any questions or requests and even helped us book a private day tour to a winery, Siena, Monteriggioni, and San Gimignano with his colleague, Andrea. He was fantastic and it was a perfect day! When we arrived there was a cab strike and Fabrizio was quick to have another colleague, Diego, meet us at the apartment to show us how to access the apartment with the various doors & keys. The shower had the best water pressure we found the entire trip. Beds were comfy, wifi was speedy, moka pots were in the cabinet for morning coffee. Fabrizio left a nice bottle of chianti as a gift too, so nice! The location could not be better. It was a quick walk to all of the sights. Bonus - the BEST gelato place in Florence is literally steps away, Vivoli. To beat the lines, show up early and often for a morning affogato and pastry, then late for a gelato nightcap. We would stay here again without hesitation. Perfection!

Perfect Location for exploring Florence
It's a short walk to all the major sites and walkable to the Boboli Gardens and PItti Palace and other areas across the river. The apartment is truly unique, located in an ancient building and filled with the owner's lifetime of collections. Quiet, charming, and evocative.

Wonderful Apartment!
We were so delighted with our stay at this wonderful apartment in Florence. The apartment Was a perfect size with all the conveniences and was very clean, with a renovated bathroom, convenient kitchen and eclectic and Florence character decor. So many fun decor items! The beds were very comfortable. The apartment was very private and quiet, up stone stairs! Fabrizio made such an extra effort to reach out several times before our stay, provide directions and we were immediately greeted with great instructions upon our arrival. The Wi-Fi was great and such a lifesaver for a planning. The location was wonderful right around the corner from one of the most popular Gellato shops on Florence for locals, And two very popular restaurants. Our check-in host even provided more recommendations and it was so easy to get around Florence from our central location. Use your cell phone maps if you’re walking or rely on taxi to get you to the exact street. We were just delighted with our stay and so appreciative of the availability of Fabrizio’s apartment!!
