Villa Leoneva is well equipped the views to the ocean are stunning to the rear are views of the mountains. The villa is in a small village with 3 restaurants, although there are no shops in the village they are only a short drive away. Be mindful that the location of the villa is incorrect, we purposely flew to Paphos airport but Larnaca would have been closer. Communication with Jo was excellent, she answered quickly to any issues. All in all we had an excellent holiday and would definitely recommend. I
Truly beautiful villa. The bedrooms were all made beautifully. It had everything that you could need. We were left a lovely welcome package. The gardens are lovely and the pool was wonderful, with a sea view. Car hire and the taxis were arranged by Denise. Which was perfect. We had excellent communication. highly recommend

Beautiful Villa with stunning views - Superb!
We arrived early hours of the morning (just in time to drag in the suitcases and enjoy the sunrise from the balcony!)
Everything we could possibly need was in the villa including some essentials that Denise had put in for us prior to our arrival.
The Villa itself was stunning, very spacious so the kids had plenty of space to roam around and of course for the adults to relax! The pool area is amazing, we made full use of the shady areas and barbecue! There was really no need to move from the Villa but we did try several of the local restaurants which served great food.
Denise is truly amazing, she had everything sorted for us (including transfers and car hire) and was always available if we had any issues.
All information about the Villa and the surrounding area is readily available and very easy to follow.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Villa and will certainly be returning in the future.

Just Perfect
What a beautiful villa! It has everything you could possibly need, stunning views, daily ice cream van, good restaurants nearby. Denise organised taxi transfer from the airport and car hire, which all worked perfectly and Denise herself was charming and helpful. We had an amazing time in spite of insanely high temperatures (bit of a heatwave..... Well over 40degrees much of the time!) - the pool was delightful!! We did experience quite a few power cuts but we had been warned that this happens and I think every house on the island had air con on full at night as it was so hot! It didn't spoil our experience and we would definitely come back......I can't recommend it highly enough! Restaurants in the village are good quality and value - we tried Benoz (really charming), Hoca and St Kathleens' (fantastic fish and meze). Definitely recommend turtle watching at night down the road - we saw and released new hatchlings and a turtle laying her eggs. Volunteers were knowledgeable and entertaining as well.

Amazing views, Lovely location & brilliant Villa
On our arrival at the villa we were greeted with flowers in the rooms and also with our essentials which we had pre paid for with Denise. The Villa was well kept and cleaned and everything was as expected and more.
However, the real surprise came in the morning, we walked out of our bedroom on the first floor and onto the balcony and we saw the amazing views all the way around the villa. They really are fantastic.
We had also arranged to have a hire car dropped off the next day through Denise and this promptly arrived as they said it would. The villa itself is lovely and well kept, the outside area is fantastic. Lounging around by the pool or eating breakfast in the pagoda you are very private, only the neighbors on one side and there are bushes etc in the way.
We had 2 minor problems while we were there which was the pool lights had stopped working and also the lock on the front door broke, Once we contacted Denise these were sorted out immediately and we were very surprised by the speed in which it happened. There are loads of guides and restaurant cards about the villa to assist you in finding somewhere to eat and drink, there are a number of restaurants in the local area or you can travel 10-20 minutes to others, or even into Kyrinia which is a lovely town with plenty to do. The local supermarkets are also only a 10-15 minute drive.
The weather was absolutely fantastic while we were here, the first day was slightly cloudy and a bit windy, but the other days was pure 28-32C sunshine. The next door neighbors were really friendly and helpful also.
Just sitting by the the pool and enjoying the peacefulness and surrounding views was a delight everyday, and at sunset we would go up to the balcony to enjoy every last second of it.
We would recommend staying here to anybody we loved the area, country and the villa that much.
Thank you very much for our stay, We look forward to going back to Aligadi in the future!

Relaxingly Perfect
I know there is no such word as relaxingly but it is the closest thing I can get to describing our stay at you beautiful villa. Thanks to Joanne for her help and Denise for her kind attention to the smallest detail to make our holiday perfect.
The villa stands probably the highest point of the village to give wonderful views down to the beaches and turn around and you have a breathtaking vista of the mountains. Beautifully and comprehensively appointed, the villa offers a wonderful base to explore, or in our case "unlax".
Village has a couple of excellent restaurants St Kathleen's (at the bottom of the street) you just ask her what she is cooking and order it..and the first one on the right as you come from the main road (sorry senior moment) was the better one.
There has been mention of the road noise...Yes it is there but it was never intrusive nor was it busy and certainly didn't detract from the experience. Would we go again?...yes definitely. Good value, good people and the best of all they have a daily Ice Cream Van, complete with chimes comes to the house....how cool is that???

Very clean and well kept villa. Thank you very much Joanne and to Denise for arranging everything, you were brilliant as usual. This was our third stay in alagadi and will surely return again.
The villa is well kept and has all essentials needed for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Can not fault it at all!
The villa is located in a small village with a few restaurants, but a car is essential- which will all be sorted by Denise.
There is a beach bar at turtle beach which is very cheap and handy. There are many nice restaurants in the area including niazis and the courtyard.
Benzos at the bottom of the hill is a very friendly family run restaurant- well worth a visit, even if only for a drink.
Thanks again

Perfect to relax.Short walk to beach
Villa Leoneva is a lovely traditional property and is well located in a nice quiet setting, walking distance to the sandy turtle beach and a short drive from supermarkets and Kyrenia town with it's beautiful harbour. This was our 3rd visit with two young children. The pool and patio area are great for chilling. The property is well looked after and the locally based property manager is fantastic at helping out with any needs however small.

A perfect place to relax with the family
Located in a Cypriot village rather than a resort, complete with a flock of goats and donkeys nearby (very exciting for the children), Villa Leonova is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a young family. Our pick-up from the airport, arrival and hire care provision worked perfectly, the villa was spotless on our arrival, and you get the sense that Joanne and Denise (who addresses any immediate needs) really care that you have as relaxing a holiday as possible. The facilities in the villa are excellent - it really is a comfortable place where time just slips by too quickly! Our only surprise on arrival was finding that the villa backs onto a road - but it is not that busy and certainly does not affect your privacy.
The beaches were not fabulous in May - but this was irrelevant as the private pool was tremendous and was where the children spent most of their time. The view and atmosphere here are wonderful - a brandy sour on the terrace as the sun sets is truly marvellous.
As far as local attractions are concerened, a walk or run along the coastal path to the east is marvellous for nature-lovers. The bar/restaurant at the Turtle Paradise is a good place for a very affordable meal, drink and WIFI, but as a rule the better restaurants are in Kyrenia, though you will pay more! The weather in May was perfect for a young family - later the summer the heat would have been too strong for our children (aged 6, 4 and 3).
We would definitely return here in the future, and would strongly recommend Northern Cyprus and this location to a young family looking for relaxation, good weather, a stunning location etc all at a very good price.

Relaxing at Villa Leoneva September 2012
A fantastic spacious and well appointed villa with spectaculla views over the Mediterranean Sea. Our party of 4 had a really relaxing holiday in this quiet setting just a short drive from the centre of Girne (Kyrenia) The hot sunshine was complimented with a gentle breeze in the villa's elevated position, it could not of been a better combination. The villa itself had all you could ask for with Denise on hand for tips and advice, she looked after us well. The surrounding area had lots to offer from the Turtle Beach a short walk away to many good restuarants and places of interest. Eating out was excellent value for money. The well used pin board and comments book in the villa was testimant to many a happy time spent by Villa Leoneva's visitors. I don't think I saw a single negative comment. We had an excellent holiday, Jo's attention to detail really shows through, I wouldn't hesitate to recomend this as great place to stay.

Unser Traumurlaub in Villa Leoneva
@Jo@ Thanke you for the super job you did;-) your gang;-) :-P
Kurzgefasst;-) war es eine sehr schöner Urlaub für uns alle gewesen:-) Denise half uns in allen unseren Fragen und anliegen. @ Denise @ Thank you for all:-) ;-)
Könnte man sechs Sterne vergeben hätten wir diese auch verliehen:-)

Our stay at Villa Leoneva
Simply superb - We arrived with 2 friends to stay here and we were certainly not disappointed. Our first task was to explore the building and gardens and were truly amazed with what this Villa has to offer. My wife and I had chosen the upper bedroom and this was delightful with its en suite and huge terrace which gave you the chance if you wished to get up in the morning, walk through the double doors and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee on your own terrace. Downstairs was just as good. Huge lounge/dining area with adjacent kitchen, fully equipped, even a mobile phone!. Around the pool and the patio area are very comfortable loungers. A barbecue is built near the pool with a Pagoda area. This allowed us to enjoy the sun when it wasnt too hot in the early evening. We travelled by rental car to Famagusta, Salamis, Kyrenia Castle and Bellapaise Monastry - all worth a visit. We also were very lucky to see turtles being born closeby, organised by University Students from the UK. We had the occassion to speak with Denise our local and very informative contact, who was able to guide us and give very sound advice regarding items such as car hire, best places to eat etc etc. For us who sometimes needed guidence, she was a great asset to have.
To sum up, if you are considering a stay in a Villa in Northern Cyprus, you certainly will not be disappointed with Villa Leoneva - Highly recommended

One Week Is Not Enough!
Myself, my wife, my daughter (11) and my wife’s parents stayed at Villa Leoneva for 7 days in August and had a fantastic week in what is a perfect villa in a great location.
The signs were great from the very first moment we made contact with owner Joanne who, along with her Cyprus based contact Denise, helped in our preparations for the stay, answering questions clearly and quickly. Nothing was too much trouble which in this day and age is a major plus. Denise organised our transfers, our hire car and our welcome pack which far exceeded our expectations. Having asked for a few items we were blown away to find the fridge well stocked with everything we needed to get us started and much more! The beers were particularly welcome!
On arrival (the taxi transfer from Larnaca was perfectly organised) a quick tour, even though late at night, confirmed that the photos were just an indication of how nice the villa really is. Its very spacious, comfortable and we immediately felt at home there. After a good nights sleep the daylight revealed the full glory of the views, the fantastic pool and the pagoda where we would spend a lot of time chilling and eating. It wasn’t long on the first day before we were rueing the fact we only had a week here!
As we weren’t at the villa long we didn’t go far but there is plenty of good advice on what to do in the visitors book in the villa. We visited some really nice restaurants that were recommended and a local beach club (Shayma) which was great value (7.50tl for adults, kids free), loads of comfortable sun beds and parasols and a decent menu. The village itself is very quiet but the two tavernas we used (St Kathleens and Benoz) were great if you didn’t want to go far to eat. There are plenty of supermarkets on the road to Kyrenia (itself only 10 minutes away).
In summary, difficult to fault Villa Leoneva. We’d recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing stay in a comfortable home from home.

Holiday at Villa Leoneva - July 2011
We spend just over two wonderful weeks at Villa Leoneva (10-28 July 2011). Booking over the internet we were a little apprehensive but once we arrived any concerns we did have were immediately dispelled: the accommodation was exactly as described but bigger than we imagined. With temperatures reaching 40+ centigrade we were thankful of the swimming pool - our two boys spent most of their time in it (and we managed a few hours too!) - and the pavillion, which provided much needed shade for eating, reading and chilling out generally.
Denise, the villa's manager, was brilliant throughout the time we were there - available at the end of a text message and ready to sort out any issues which arose. We used Denise to book our taxis from/to the airport and for our hire car - everything went like clockwork and it took a lot of stress away from us.
We would strongly recommend a car for anyone staying there as, aside from two restaurants, there is nothing else within walking distance (aside from the sea and the Turtle Project). Shops, other restaurants etc are about a five - ten minute drive towards Kyrenia/Girne.
Water and electricity are expensive in Cyprus but if you are sensible it isn't a problem - using the aircon overnight we were perfectly fine but don't leave it on in the day.
Jo (the owner) was great before and after booking the villa and when we got back home - she was very prompt with returning the excess of the deposit.
We had a great experience and have no hesitation in recommending Villa Leoneva.

Holiday June 2011
We have just returned from spending a week at Villa Leoneva which was so relaxing. We had blue skies all week and found it very hard to drag ourselves away from the pool and the lovely sea views. We did manage to visit St Helarion & Bellapais Abbey which are definitely worth the effort!
The taxi transfers from Larnaca and the car hire firm delivering your vehicle to the villa worked perfectly.
We ate at Benoz in the village 3 times and the staff were very friendly and food was excellent. I would certainly recommend the villa for a relaxing holiday,

Holiday at Villa Leoneva - August 2010
Well what can I say, what a wonderful holiday and made all the more special staying at Villa Leoneva. The Villa was wonderful, very spacious and well equiped. The pool was fabulous and our son spent all of his time in it.
The Villa is in a quite locaton so enables you to relaxing and unwind fully, which we all did.
Denise (villa manager) was on call if you needed anything, which was great. We are glad that Denise reccomended a hire car as the Villa is a little way out of the main town.
Turtle beach provided the whole family with activities - scuba diving, tutle excurvation, sunbathing, relaxing at the bar, strolling and swimming.
The whole family had a relaxing time.
Thank you for a excellent stay.

Relax, you've reached Villa Leoneva!
If you're looking to chill, you've come to right place. Villa Leoneva is excellently placed. Situated in the quiet village of Alagadi but only a 10-15 minute easy drive to the hustle and bustle of Kyrenia, it's perfect! It's a home from home with everything you could possibly need, extremely spacious with a fantastic pool area that is bathed in sunshine from morning until sunset. With the addition of the covered seating area and BBQ the villa offers so much flexiblity when it comes to eating and entertaining. Denise, the villa's "manager" is a godsend - nothing was too much trouble - and communication with Joanne, the owner, was excellent and very relaxed.
The highlight of our holiday was the Turtle Project - which is a stone's throw away from the villa. We got to watch an excavation of a green turtle nest, where baby turtles were removed to ensure their survival. We were then invited to take part in a release where we were handed our very own turtle, encouraged to name it and wish it well on it's long journey. It was an extemely moving experience and one we'll never forget.
Eating at the restaurant within the grounds of Bellapais Abbey was very atmospheric and very memorable. Climbing to the top of St Hellarian Castle was a great sense of achievement.
Other restaurants to recommend would be Bo Thai on the main road into Kyrenia but you must remember that the lemon balm they bring to the table at the end of the meal is to cleanse your hands and not - as my husband first thought - a free drink!!! The Bell Tower restaurant at Bellapais felt like you were eating in a tree house. Niazi's and it's sister restaurant The Lagoon (fish restaurant) in Kyrenia were both excellent.
The Shayma Beach Club (on the main road to Kyrenia) was really clean and great for snorkelling. With a pontoon to swim to and sumbathe on and a diving board into the sea our girls had a great time.
The people of Northern Cyprus are extremely friendly and they love children. We were told that crime is virtually non existent and I don't think we saw any police officers for the whole fortnight!
It's probably one of the easiest places to drive too because not only are you driving on the left, but there feels like there are so few cars on the road and people drive at a moderate pace.
We couldn't recommend Villa Leoneva and Northern Cyprus enough. We only wish we were back there.

Relaxing Stay
This truly was a very relaxing stay, with a magnificent pool (the best we've ever had) that we used every day of our holiday (also comfy sun beds). The Villa itself had everything you could wish for in terms of cooking facilities if you wanted to do that. The restaurants and shops (big variety) a 10min. drive away.
Well appointed inside with great beds and all towels etc. provided which made for lighter packing.
Air conditioned throughout which was a god send.
All in all Villa Leoneva was a great place for a relaxing stay and thoroughly recommended

Superior accommodation
My husband and I recently returned from a 2 week holiday In N. Cyprus where we stayed in Villa Leoneva. We found the clean and comfortable accommodation was perfectly suited to our needs and I was impressed with the thoughtfulness that had gone into furnishing and equipping the villa. It was both homely and stylish and whether we wanted to snack by the beautifully clean pool or cook a meal (an urge I fought hard to resist) everything we needed was there. I felt as though I was on a film set - swimming in the pool before breakfast with the blue shimmering Med. in front of me and smokey purple mountains behind. (Unfortunately I didn't look as though I should be on a film set but 1 out of 2's not bad!) The lounge and poolside was comfortably furnished. There was even a games cupboard for those evenings we wanted to be 'at home' after a busy day out.
We found lots to see in the surrounding area. We drove down to the pan handle on one day which enabled us to enjoy seeing other parts of the Island. Some of my favourite trips in the immediate locality were Bellapais Abbey, Escape private beach/water sports facilities, Turtle Beach and Kyrenia Castle but we went to lots of other places as well. By sheer good fortune our stay coincided with a free 'opera day' in Bellapais Abbey - the memories of that evening in such a beautiful mountain top setting are ones I shall not forget.
We also found some nice local restaurants with beach side settings - where we dined whilst watching an amazing setting sun go down over the sea. Well stocked local supermarkets with helpful staff made any necessary 'housekeeping' trips effortless - the wine section was one we particularly appreciated.
These were just some of the experiences we definitely want to come back to Villa Leoneva for. The locality and villa are frankly outstanding.

Half Term Getaway
My husband and two daughters (8 and 10) spent the May half term at this beautiful and relaxing villa. It had a very rustic feel to it which ties in perfectly with the natural beauty of Kyrenia. The villa was spacious and clean and we felt very at home there. It even had a TV and DVD player so it was great that the children could take respite from the heat to watch a DVD on occasion.
We felt very comfortable with the amount of restaurants on offer, all with English menus which made it so easy and relaxing, and it was equally easy to stock up our kitchen from the local supermarket.
We paid a small amount to spend the day in a 5* hotel about 10minutes away, which had waterslides, a private beach and all restaurant facilities as well as an amazing swimming pool.
We also visited the Abbey which our children really enjoyed as well. Everything seemed so close to the villa.
The highlight of our trip was Turtle Bay. The villa is so close – about 7 minutes walk and we went to visit the students who come over to help with the nesting period of the turtles. They invited us on a night safari and we were lucky enough to see a large green back, come up the beach, dig her pit and lay her eggs. The whole process took 2 hours, sitting under the stars and the children were gushing about the experience for days afterwards.
The location of Villa Leoneva was perfect – near to so many restaurants and things to do, but far enough away for peace and quiet. Highly recommended!

Torpedo
My husband and I recently spent two weeks at the Villa Leoneva ,the villa and grounds are spacious and well kept, we particularly liked the pergola near the pool and bar-b-que area as this was a welcome haven from the hot sun. We also enjoyed sitting outside our bedroom on the terrace in the morning and outside of the lounge in the evening overlooking the sea, the seating in these areas was a nice touch. The area around the Villa is mainly residential and has a very relaxing feel to it,we used a couple of the local restaurants and found the Benos Restaurant good value and very friendly. We tried restaurants outside of our local area and these also were good.We visited Bellapais monastry and also a restaurant there well worth a visit very pretty village. If you are fit you can attempt the climb to the top of St.Hilarion,I managed 3/4 husband managed it all views are magnificent.
