Chiado 1 is located at Travessa Joao de Deus, 12, 2nd floor (no elevator), in the desirable Chiado area. The heart of Lisbon, a trendy, vivid fashionable part of town.
Location is unbeatable: within minutes walking distance you will find all types of restaurants, fado houses, luxury shops, latest fashion bars, clubs, theatres, supermarkets, neighbourhood grocery stores and small cafes.
The flat is a great starting point to discover Lisbon: many points of interest are just outside the front door and within 3 to 5 minutes walk you will find the National Theatre, the City Hall Theatre, Trindade Theatre and the Opera House, as well as the Baixa/Chiado Metro Station and the famous 28 tram stops. Railway station to Sintra is also a 3 minute walk. Railway station to Estoril/Cascais beaches is 10 minutes walking distance.

Chiado 1 is a charming 2 bedrooms apartment in a building built in the year 2000.
Decoration is refined, some how minimalist but very cozy.
Rooms are very comfortable with built in closets and the living room is spacious with a separated dinning area.
Kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use. The whole flat is very well equipped: 2 cable TV, DVD, 2 Hi-Fi, Wi-Fi and hot tub.
There is reversible (heat and cold) air conditioner in both bedrooms and in the living room.
Last but not the least, the flat comes with a parking place located in a public car parking 3 minutes away. A real luxury in centre town!

Comfortable, central, well appointed and QUIET with great wifi.

Delightful host , interesting area, easy to get to Metro and lifts. We are in our seventies so resorted to Tuktuks to get up the hill at times but it was a convenient and for us above all a quiet home away from home. Close to good shops and restaurants. We appreciated wifi that works. Prue

Lived Chiado

Chiado was a perfect home base from which to explore Lisbon. Mario was communicative and helpful throughout. Would recommend this apartment.

Great location

We had a great stay. Mario was excellent with his suggestions around town. I am glad we stay here near great restaurants and the funicular which made it easy to go down to the water and other sights to see.

Great location

Only 6 minutes to the Rossio train station and 6 minutes in the other direction to get to the Santa Justa Lift. Great restaurants all around. Make reservations at the restaurant 2 doors down to avoid disappointment.

Mario was a great host! He was prompt with any and all communication we had and was very accommodating of our needs. The apartment is beautiful and in a great location in Lisbon. I'd have absolutely no issues staying here again.

Lisbon Chiada perfect stay. Luxurious place.

Mario keeps a beautiful apartment and a beautiful location. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring in every direction from his apartment for those that like to walk you will have the opportunity to explore over 5 miles of walking every day as we did. We had a car, but kept it parked in Mario’s garage.

Spacious and comfortable apartment, superb location!

Although we were horribly late for our arrival (due to our own ineptitude), host Mario was prompt with communication and gracious in welcoming us. The property was exactly as described and very well supplied (kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. . . Dish soap, utensils, towels, shampoo, etc.) The location was perfect: a quiet street within walking distance of sights/shopping/restaurants. We hope to return!

Excellent accommodation!!

This property is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and in a great location for visiting Lisbon’s historic city center. We walked and used the Metro and trolley to get around…all very easy, especially with the Lisboa card for public transportation. We especially appreciated the quiet bedroom in the back and the many wonderful restaurants nearby.

Great Apartment

The apartment is in a great location! It was very clean and had everything needed for our stay in Lisbon. It is very spacious and the beds are very comfortable! We were met near the parking garage by Mario and that was so helpful! Very lucky to get an included parking space! We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Lisbon.

Mario met us at the property to give us a tour and share information about the area. He was informative and gave us a sense of the culture. The property was modern, clean and in a perfect location. Wish we could a have stayed longer!

Great place in perfect location!

An Exceptional Stay

Our greatest desire after staying here at the beginning of our six week vacation is the other apartments we have booked come close to being as good as this. Mario, is an exceptional host who did everything he could to make our stay beyond comfortable. The apartment satisfied our every need including cleanliness, location and had all the features we could have expected and more. We would have no reluctance to highly recommend this VRBO apartment to one and all!

Perfect Lisbon Stay

This as a great apartment. It's location, near the Carmo convent in the Chiado, is about as good as gets for a Lisbon vacation. Great shops and restaurants are minutes away, as is the Rossio train station. The apartment itself has heater/air conditioning units in the living room and in each bedroom. (The bedrooms, located in the rear, are very quiet.) But the apartment's most impressive feature is its spacious and well stocked kitchen. Our host Mario (a Lisbon native) provided valuable information about getting around in the city, procuring taxis etc. Highly recommended!
