Fabulous Cottage, Walk to Glen Ellen

Located in the friendly, historic, and picturesque town of Glen Ellen in the Sonoma Valley, is a welcoming, light-filled cottage on a spacious lot, behind a front cottage. A five minute walk takes you into the village of Glen Ellen, where you will find some of Sonoma Valley’s best restaurants and cafes, as well as a wonderful gourmet grocery store.

The comfortable, well appointed cottage easily sleeps 2 people, with forest and valley views. There is a bedroom area with a queen size pillow-top bed and a queen sofa bed in the living area. Linens and towels are provided. It is the perfect getaway accommodation.

Several excellent neighborhood wineries gladly welcome guests. Jack London Park and Sonoma Regional Park are walking, hiking and bicycling spots nearby. It’s a 15 minute drive to Sonoma, where more restaurants, cafes, tasting rooms and world class shops and galleries await you.

After a busy day, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings on a private patio with a private hot tub. A gas grill awaits those who love to barbecue.

The unit includes free WI-Fi access to high speed, broadband internet service, and high definition TV with hundreds of channels.

Great spot!

The property is adorable - clean, well-situated about 4 blocks from the main drag in Glen Ellen. Walkable to restaurants, bars, and tasting rooms like Talisman. Peaceful and a lot of green trees around. The main house was not occupied when we were there, so if it was, I can imagine it would be slightly noisier if those people used the outside area. The proximity is decently close to the cottage. But overall, we loved it and will definitely consider staying there again in the future!!

Great Sonoma Area Getaway!

We were looking for a place to get away and unwind for a wine country weekend, and this cottage was perfect for our needs. Well-equipped, clean and quiet with a lovely landscaped walkway. Make sure to visit Les Pascales for breakfast just down the road, and Jack London State Park is less than a 10-minute drive for some beautiful hikes.

Absolutely phenomenal, walking distance to town, restaurants, grocery stores

My husband and I planned a vacation to CA/Wine Country from NC. Not knowing a TON about the area we want to be close to sonoma/napa, however it was important to us to have a more spacious area to spend out time/be able to cook and spend time at the home. Glen Ellen was perfect. The house is less than a 10-minute, very enjoyable walk to the cutest town!! There's an amazing market, cools bars and restaurant, and the best french bakery (we went twice!) The space itself is perfect for a couple. Studio style cottage with a very comfortable interior. We spent a ton of time outside - utilizing the grill, hot tub, and patio overlooking the mountains and a beautiful forest and grape vines. The host was extremely responsive and accommodating. All-in-all, could not recommend this cottage or Glen Ellen more for a fantastic and relaxing wine country visit!

Great location!

Really cute place. Really appreciated the thoughtful accommodations. Cottage has everything you need. Does not have an oven or dishwasher but that is not an issue for us. Very large pizza/toaster oven does the job. Great location close to so many winery choices. Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Sonoma.

Oasis in the woods

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful bungalow. The Jacuzzi was amazing, sitting under the canopy of trees was beautiful, easy walk to town. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Cottage

We absolutely LOVE staying at this cottage. It has everything in the kitchen, including coffee. A nice grill and patio. Hot tubs are always a bonus. The bed is comfy. It is so quiet sitting outside anytime of the day. Lot of birds to enjoy. WE love it. WE walkt o breakfast, dinner and the market. We will be back!

Perfect wine country stay!

We loved our stay in this cottage. It had everything we needed to make our visit comfortable and it was perfectly located for easy access to Sonoma vineyards! Check in was easy and we felt like we had ample privacy. We loved relaxing in the hot tub! We would stay in this cottage again!

Cute and cozy! Would gladly return.

Cute little studio in the quaint town of Glen Ellen. Perfect size for two people. I believe the couch turns into a bed, but any more than 3 people might make for a cramped stay. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bed was as I don't usually sleep well in any bed but my own. There is a hot tub which is nice unless you don't plan to use it so make time in your itinerary to do so because you will be charged either way. The cottage is set behind a home. It's a short walk up a small hill; not ADA accessible for those concerned. For those weary of noise, the neighbors are up early playing music and the hill makes it so the conversation carries. It didn't bother me, I was sitting on the patio enjoying it with my coffee. They have a Keurig and pods, just bring your own creamer if you need. I loved the walkability factor. Glen Ellen is such a cute town. There is a restaurant called the Glen Ellen Star which is Michelin rated so we were extremely excited to have a reservation until we were mistreated by Spencer, the manager. However, I can not say enough good things about the fabulous patisserie called Les Pascals!! Best croque madame and quiche I've had EVER! The ingredients are clearly of high quality. Really great coffee and pastries as well. Go early, there will be a line out the door. Uber service to Napa was ok, getting back to town was an issue. Overall this was a wonderful stay! I only docked one star in the check-in process due to not being allowed early check-in

Quiet, cozy and lots to do!

Our stay, from booking to checkout, was so simple and enjoyable. There was so much to do within just a few steps or drive a few miles, but coming back "home" to the cottage was its own Wonderful, relaxing experience. Highly recommend!

Magical cottage in the country

The minute I walked into this Glen Ellen cottage, I knew it was going to be a fantastic stay. Clean, bright, cozy and embracing are just a few descriptors for this place. Gwen has nicely appointed the space and it made me happy to stay inside (or sit outside) for a long time. It was raining when I arrived so I put the kettle on, made a cup of tea, and curled up with a book while the raindrops pattered overhead. When the sun came out, I took the short walk to a nearby restaurant to meet friends and enjoyed a delicious meal. There was one issue, the mini fridge wasn't cooling, and Gwen was amazingly responsive and had it replaced within hours. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It is special.

Well appointed, but has a couple of issues

This little cottage is lovely. A gas cook top was really nice. It seemed to have everything you you, I wasn’t missing anything at least. Quite neighborhood, stand of oaks to look at while soaking. Issues: I’m 5” tall. The shower head has been replaced with a hose and head style, awesome right. No they did not lower the nozzle so you could grab it without falling, which I did. If left in slot it squirts over the shower door, that was a mess. For me the shower was flat out unsafe. Second issue: the heater unit is directly over the bed and the intact vent is high and to the right of where your head lays. Extremely noise. I wound up sleeping on the couch out of the noise void.

Sonoma Stay

We had an excellent time in wine country. We had a space with glasses that was provided. Communication with manager was immediate when we had a question. Hot Tub was much appreciated following cycling. All I can suggest is some more towels with longer trips.

Lovely little cottage

We absolutely adored this cottage - it was perfect for my husband and I. It has everything you need, is quaint and quiet - a very lovely neighborhood. Close to lots of little shops and restaurants in Glen Ellen and situated close to many, many wineries. Would absolutely recommend and love to come back!

Simply a wonderful stay.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Everything was excellent. Bed was comfortable, HVAC worked great. Kitchen is well stocked. The view from the front patio is so peaceful. Private and quiet. A perfect getaway if you want a quiet secluded getaway.

Italian Farmhouse Decorated Cottage

We enjoyed this studio cottage and its very private location behind a main house, and backing up to a wooded preserve. There are great windows on all 4 sides with beautiful views of the Sonoma hills and mountains, and the sitting area outside and hot tub at night were great for star-gazing and relaxing with wine. There is no oven or dishwasher, but we didn't need them; there is a microwave, air fryer/cooker, and half-size refrigerator. There also is a fireplace, which would be fantastic during cooler seasons. The bed is comfortable with a good mattress, and there is a comfortable couch for reading and relaxing. This studio cottage is decorated like an Italian farm house; not my particular style, but the photos are accurate and well-done if you like that decorating style. The cottage is big enough for 2 adults, but not more. I would not suggest staying here with children. We also walked into Glen Ellen a few times, and we enjoyed leaving the car parked!

What a great VRBO. Will make a return visit.

Nothing bad to say. Wonderful little cottage. Kitchen very well equipped. Comfortable. Enjoyed hot tub. Shower very good. Entire property in excellent shape. One caution: the cinder path (lined by fragrant lavender plants) up to the cottage is not maneuverable by the handicapped and it’s a bit of a walk if you have lots of luggage.

Clean, charming and quiet

A perfect place to unwind and relax after busy days exploring the Sonoma and Napa valleys, and a trip to Bodega Bay. The cottage was very clean and well equipped, and we liked the relative privacy in a quiet neighborhood. The village of Glen Ellen was unexpectedly charming so we spent more time than planned just walking around and exploring the local area. The cottage itself was also very comfortable and we enjoyed soaking in the clean hot tub every night under the stars. Highly recommend this place.
