Exceptional cottage in a beautiful location

We stayed at Fairygreen cottage as part of a wider Scotland vacation. It was exactly what we needed - stunning views, peaceful and the perfect base to explore so much of Scotland. Only an hr from Edinburgh but close enough to the highlands for day trips. We had a day in St Andrew’s, explored many of the cute surrounding villages, did some great hikes but mostly enjoyed a lovely time at the cottage. Exceptionally clean, lovely interiors and all the amenities you need - couldn’t have asked for more! Wish we would have booked for longer. Thank you!

We are a traditional farming family from Perthshire who have recently restored this cottage and have to date received over 100 5* reviews. Fairygreen Cottage on Dunsinnan estate is listed as one of the top 1% of holiday rentals in the whole of Scotland. We can’t wait to share it with you.

Why they chose this property

The perfect base to explore Scotland. Only 1 hr from Edinburgh airport and 1.5hrs from Glasgow. Some of Scotlands most famous castles and palaces are within an hrs drive or under. Whilst St Andrew’s and Dunkeld are a short drive away. The highlands is also only a day trip away as well as the stunning coastal areas in Fife.

But you won’t need to leave the cottage’s immediate surrounds (if you don’t want to!). Spectacular scenery and 360 degree views of the Perthshire countryside will ensure you’ll never want to leave!

What makes this property unique

Beautifully restored property on a traditional Scottish estate called Dunsinnan - an estate with close connections with Shakspeare’s masterpiece Macbeth. Walk up Dunsinane hill and explore our history and heritage whilst immersing yourself in breathtaking scenery.
