*ACTIVITIES TO ENJOY NEARBY*
SPRING/SUMMER:
Golf, hike, fish, swim, or canoe! You don't need to go farther than our backyard to enjoy it all! The shoreline's hard-packed, sandy bottom offers a perfect shallow entry before the water begins to get deep. This makes it ideal for a wide variety of both summer and winter activities. Lake Bernard is popular for fishing a wide variety of fish, including lake trout, bass, whitefish, yellow perch and rock bass. The vast lake offers plenty of great spots to drop a line.
There are places to rent equipment nearby (canoes, kayaks, SUPs, ATVs etc.)... or bring your own. A public boat launch is a hop, skip & a jump away.
FALL/WINTER (yes, we are a 4 season cottage!):
The Autumn leaves are gorgeous, and hiking the nearby trails is a great way to enjoy the fall colours. In the winter, ice fishing is a popular pastime, and ice huts can be rented nearby. Snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing are all common activities in the area. Snowshoes are provided.
