Truly an outdoor enthusiasts paradise, with trout fishing 2 miles away in Battle Creek, year round fishing and boating on Lake Almanor, 25 miles away, and several other small lakes nearby. Multiple trailheads lead to miles of hiking trails through Lassen Park, only 6 miles away. Seasonal mushroom harvesting in the nearby area is supurb.
