About this property
JUST MOMENTS AWAY FROM ICONIC LANDMARKS ,LOUVRE, OPERA & THE TUILERIES GARDENS.
Stay in a warm and elegant apartment, nestled in a noble building steeped in history in the heart of Paris. This noble building, probably built during the reign of Louis XVI, was home to the studio of Victor Hugo's publisher in the 19th century. Entirely renovated, the apartment exudes timeless charm. It features high ceilings and typical Haussmann details such as moldings and a decorative marble fireplace. With a fully-equipped kitchen, four separate bedrooms (one on a mezzanine), and en-suite bathrooms for most of the rooms, this apartment is a comfortable and intimate place to spend a few days in Paris.
The premises have a very unique historical feel, as this apartment used to be the workshop of printer P. Mouillot, one of Victor Hugo's main printers during his lifetime. At the time, the printing machines were sizeable and only fit in the kind of places with high ceilings. Victor Hugo himself must have climbed up the stairs to the apartment to discover his novels being printed.
The apartment includes a spacious living room, a dining room with seating for 10, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is one shared bathroom with a shower (no WC), three private bathrooms attached to the bedrooms, and two separate WCs for added convenience.
There are four bedrooms arranged as follows:
Bedroom 1 has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower (no WC).
Bedroom 2 has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub (no WC).
Bedroom 3 has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower (no WC).
Bedroom 4, located on a mezzanine, features a double bed (1m high and no window).
Additionally, the living room has a convertible sofa bed that accommodates two people.
The building does not have an elevator, and the apartment is accessible via stairs on the first floor. This detail adds to its historical character but may not suit those with mobility concerns.
Located in a vibrant, central Paris neighborhood, the apartment is close to major landmarks such as the Louvre Museum, the Opera, and the Tuileries Gardens. Rue Sainte Anne, known for its Asian restaurants and quaint cafés, is just around the corner. A short walk will also take you to the scenic banks of the Seine River.
This apartment offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience Paris in a historic yet comfortable setting. Book your stay today for an unforgettable experience.
