Both the location and the unit were beautiful! The main thing that was missing that we're use to as a necessity being Florida natives was central A/C or even a window A/C unit - there were only ceiling fans and portable oscillating fans made for sleeping at nights kind of uncomfortable, even with having the sliding door and windows open with the screens shut, of course. Locals on the island rely on the ocean breeze to help keep indoors cooled so A/C is not common, however, we believed it was very necessary, as Kona is notorious for being hot and both dry and humid. Additionally, as a heads up, the shower "entry" has essentially half of a see-thru glass partition? and not an actual door/partition combo, so it was a little challenging to keep the water IN the shower because it's always half open lol. So therefore, only reasons for 4 stars. We were overall happy with our stay and mahalo for the hospitality!
We really enjoyed this condo. It has a beautiful ocean view and was well equipped. We had a problem with the tv and Wi-Fi when we arrived but management fixed it. Highly recommended!
The unit was very nice. The problem we had was with the management company. Second day there the cable box went out. Contacted customer service, got a quick response saying the issue was referred to the proper department. Never got a response nor did the cable box get repaired, so we had no real TV for the majority of the stay.
Nice condo on the water. Just missing a few amenities like salt and pepper, condements. We have always stayed in VRBOs and that is all that was lacking...
There was no communication between host and my family ruined our whole trip

FILTHY ! I FEEL RIPPED OFF ! The Cleaning fee is a rip off !
The cleaning fee is a rip off ! Upon our arrival there was debris, hair and crumbs of food on the living room floor, dried food stuck on both sinks in the kitchen. Some "lady" clipped her fingernails and TOE NAILS on the couch. The clippings were on the floor and some on the coffee table !!! Nobody has dusted anything in many months, or, years. All of the pictures have the greasy, waxy dust build up of nobody ever dusting. The wine glasses in the filthy wine rack were so dirty and dusty, I drew my name in the dust to show my wife. The bathroom door has black hand prints all around the doorknobs from never being cleaned.
Overall had a great time, location was great and walkable to town .
My only issue was TV was too small and couldn’t get the system to work , but that was a minor deal
The view made up for it.
I’d reccommend this place for all above reasons
Thanks

SVillage is special to us since we owned there for 30 years. Now we rent.
OF condo is great almost over ocean location. Well stocked and comfortable. Some areas need some TLC. We asked for some maintanence help, and got it. Chain lock on front door hanging and rusty. Took it off. Needs secondary bolt lock. Sliders needed cleaning and oiling. Was done and then were easier to slide. Do not care for tile counter tops as they are really difficult to clean well enough. Need to be able to get all food off counters easily. Plumber fixed issue with toilet.
NO disposal is different, although we understand why.....having been owners there we realize renters are not careful enough about what goes into disposals, in that location and complex. Grounds and pool are fabulous. Owners and frequent renters understand the need for quiet hours more than typical renters do. This is not a shut windows and turn up the AC kind of place. The Sea Village is the kind of condo building for people who appreciate open air spaces, breezes coming in, nice tropical folige, obey pool rules that are for every one and generally want to keep their surroundings as lovely as they are and soak in the ambiance.
We have been a part of this complex since 1975 when they were built. Improvements have been made and updates added to keep it in the present. Solar power, WiFi , security locks, etc.
Very comfortable condo complex for those who love the Big Island and Kona.

Relaxed and enjoyable
The only problems are the thin walls and uncomfortable bed. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Close to town and beaches. Listening to the waves at night is the best.

Great location!
It was a wonderful place. Fantastic location. The only minor problem was they were skimpy with paper products. Take a roll of toilet paper! Lol
