About this property
High Peaks Mountain Retreat - Trū North Lodge
About this space
Welcome to Trū North Lodge! Our peaceful getaway in the Adirondack High Peaks is ready to welcome you and yours for whatever kind of mountain adventure you’re up for, in any season! Located on beautiful Corliss Point near Hurricane Mountain, and nestled on seven private wooded acres, the property is the perfect home base for skiing, hiking, mountain climbing, or just taking in the spectacular Adirondack mountain air and views. We hope you'll love the High Peaks as much as we do.
The space
Built in 2016, this low energy use property has undergone an internal makeover for 2025, with new furnishings, linens & amenities, a new electric range, new gas grill, and fresh paint and window treatments throughout. Though you may be “off the grid” from a cell service standpoint, our reliable satellite wifi allows you to stay connected whether for work or play.
The house sleeps up to 10 people, with 4 bedrooms, plus a semi-private bonus room with bunk beds/trundle and a Queen-sized pull out sofa in the lower level family room. *Owners will consider requests for additional guests for an additional cost.
As you approach the lodge, the circular driveway welcomes you to the home and allows for easy entry and exit, as well as ample parking, surrounded by wooded views. The outside of the home features a spectacular wrap-around deck with a gas firepit and Adirondack chairs, as well as a Weber gas barbecue grill. There’s also a wood-burning fire pit on the lawn below and a spacious yard for play. Gather around to toast marshmallows or enjoy your favorite beverage, and get ready for some spectacular stargazing on clear nights. While the property offers abundant privacy, we ask that you moderate your outdoor activities and especially volume, out of respect for our closest neighbors.
Inside, the majority of the living area is located on the main floor, with two sliding doors to the expansive deck and large windows facing the mountainside - designed to maximize views of the woods, birds and mountains (including seasonal views of the Sentinel Range and Whiteface). The large open floor plan provides plenty of spaces for relaxing and gathering, including a fully stocked modern kitchen and a large dining area with an expandable table the whole family can gather around. The kitchen and dining areas open to a huge great room, with vaulted ceilings and a Vermont Castings wood burning stove. Cozy up on the inviting leather couches and swivel chairs to read a book or watch the birds and enjoy a game or movie night by the warm fire.
The lower level features a family room area with comfy couches, bean bag chair and an additional TV for bingeing movies and shows. TVs are wifi enabled and can be used to access your personal streaming accounts. An adjacent game area features a foosball table and a chess table for more competitive fun. The bonus room in the back has an extra large bean bag chair for lounging, and a projector light for indoor star gazing.
Each comfortable bedroom features modern furnishings and fresh linens, with extra blankets for chilly nights. The master bath features a separate soaking tub and shower, with double vanity and water closet. The other two full bathrooms (top and basement levels) feature a tub/shower combo, with an additional powder room conveniently located on the main floor. The main and second levels boast hickory wood floors, with the lower level featuring vinyl wood flooring.
Guest access
Guests have use of the entire home/property, with the exception of the Owner's closet on the lower level.
The home is situated on seven acres down the mountainside. Feel free to explore. We do ask that you please respect our neighbors, their privacy and their private property.

About the host
Hosted by Erin & Greg

Having grown up in New York State, we each visited the Adirondacks with our families as kids. We wanted to introduce our family to the wonders of the High Peaks are and excited to share our beautiful spot with others.
Why they chose this property
The Adirondacks have so much to offer and there's truly something for everyone, all year long. Each season presents the opportunity for some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable and endless activities.
Winters provide opportunities for both downhill and cross country skiing, snow shoeing, sledding, or even taking a ride on the Olympic Bobsled.
In Spring, explore the area's history and local museums, grab your binoculars and take in the wonders of birding, or cast your line after April 1st – the start of Trout fishing season.
Summer is the perfect time to visit the area's local lakes and rivers. Take a cooling dip in the Ausable River or Chapel Pond. Shoppers will love myriad antiquing and arts & crafts opportunities. And Keene's own Marcy Field Farmers Market is not to be missed!
In Fall, you'll be in awe at Mother Nature's knack for creating the most incredible colors in nature you've ever seen. Hop on the Gondola Ride at Whiteface to catch 360° views of the High Peaks splendor.
