Villa Giovanna is a villa with private pool on Versilia hills with wonderful view upon the sea, few minutes from the seaside. The property is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves managed by the owners so you can taste wine and olive oil directly produced on the place. You can find more details on our website www.vinicolasolatio.com . It's a part of a farmhouse, dating back to 1920 with original marble floors (graniglia). New furniture, equipped kitchen, bathrooms towels and bedrooms linens are provided.Outside, the garden has dining furniture and a BBQ - perfect for al fresco dining on the warm Versilia evenings! Enjoy the spectacular sea views while you sip a cocktail by the pool.Villa Giovanna is in a very quiet position but in few minutes you can easily reached many wonderful spots. The highway is less than 10 minutes away, so this villa is perfect as a base for day visit to : Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Cinque terre, Volterra, San Gimignano. Five minutes drive you have the sandy beaches of Forte dei Marmi, perfects for families and the town of Pietrasanta, a small gem with its stunning Duomo ( with Michelangelo's rosone) located in the main square. Pietrasanta is also full of restaurants where taste local cousine. Few minutes drive in the mountain you can visit the spectacular cave Antro del Corchia,with its 2000m of galleries you can explore by a guided tour. Or if you like hiking you can walk in our beautiful Alpi Apuane trails. Don't miss the chance to enjoy all the things you can do in our area. Only two minutes drive from the house, in the small village of Ripa, you can find a bank, a pharmacy and food shops. Supermarkets as well are very close to the house ( 10 minutes).

Relaxing after visiting Rome and Florence

Lovely rustic villa in the foothills of the Apuan Alps with stunning views over vinyards, the town and the sea. We were warmly greeted by owners Francesca and Manu, who invited us to join them for a buffet and to taste some of the wine they produce. The villa is set on a steep hillside on 3 levels (so you need to be ok with going up and down stairs!) The pool is set on the same level as the ground floor and has seating and sunbeds alongside. The local ameneties in nearby Ripa are limited, but there is a choice of supermarkets within a few minutes drive towards Forte Dei Marmi. FDM is clearly an 'up market' seaside town with lots of designer shops and a number of restaurants and cafes, mainly set out around the centre that joins the beach at the point where the pier is situated. The beachfront, which stretches for miles in both directions is mostly taken up by private beach clubs. These comprise restaurants and bars and a slice of the beach that they charge you (some a lot!) for using. There are small sections of beach set aside as free to use. We found a community run club called 'Commuale Levante' just before you leave FDM. €20 a day for use of 2 deckchairs, a sunbed and parasol. It's restaurant (Alle Boe) was very friendly and reasonably priced. Best place we found for eating out was nearby Pietrasanta, which has a real old-town feel, but is also a centre for sculpture of all kinds, which is all around you. Daytrip to walled town, Lucca (40 mins drive) was well worth it.

Wunderschöner Toskanaurlaub im Oktober

Wir teilen die Erfahrungen anderer Gäste und waren begeistert von Francescas herzlicher Gastfreundschaft, ihrem fantastischen Wein und Willkommensessen, ihrer wunderbaren Familie und der eindrucksvollen Lage des Hauses im Weinberg, von der aus man alle möglichen tollen Unternehmungen starten kann. Unser Highlight war ein Abstecher nach Ligurien und eine Hop on und off-Bootstour entlang der Cinque Terre...auch für die Teenager war das ein Knaller :-). Der Ausblick vom Haus: einfach traumhaft! Ein bisschen verleidet haben uns die Zeit die gnadenlosen Mücken, die trotz Schichten von Schutzmitteln jedes Frühstücken auf der Terrasse oder abendliches Draußensitzen unmöglich gemacht haben. Das Haus selbst ist bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten (Topflappen?) gut ausgestattet - wenn etwas fehlt oder gebraucht wird, ist Francesca sowieso jederzeit ansprechbar und hilft sofort. Wirklich ungemütlich waren die (wenigen) Liegen, deren kaputte Rückenlehnen nicht einstellbar waren. Und auf eine abenteuerliche Auffahrt (wir haben unseren Automatik noch nie so geschätzt) muss man sich einstellen. Ansonsten kann man die Toskana hier in vollen Zügen genießen und problemlos jeden Tag das unserer Meinung nach beste Eis der ganzen Region (inklusive Eisdielen-Reiseführer-Tipp in Florenz) im Ort durchprobieren...unfassbar lecker!

Wonderful House & Hospitality

Francesca & her family could not have been more welcoming or helpful - the house is spotlessly clean, with amazing views to the sea. It is also beautifully restored so you are staying in an authentic and charming farmhouse close to many interesting and enjoyable sites to visit. We cannot recommend this venue highly enough!

Amazing stay in this fantastic property with amazing views

We had a great stay at Francesca and Emmanuel's place. Very friendly and helpful hosts, that make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Thanks for the great welcome dinner, and the flexibility of eating late because of our delay in arrival. We enjoyed the peaceful location, and amazing views from the hills. We did trips early in the day, and spent time in and around the pool during the hot afternoon hours. The olive garden provides great shadows.

Toller Urlaub bei Francesca

Wirklich schön! Wir haben uns bei Francesca sehr wohl gefühlt. Mit Google Maps haben wir das Ferienhaus sofort gefunden, natürlich ist es etwas abenteuerlich die engen Serpentinen hoch zum Weinberg. Dort angekommen begrüßte uns die Vermieterin und zeigte uns kurz das Haus. Für uns als relativ junge Familie kein Problem, die Zimmer liegen auf drei Etagen, das sollte man aber beachten! Unglaublich begeistert waren wir von dem tollen Abendessen das für uns am Anreisetag gezaubert wurde. Ein voll gedeckter gedeckter Tisch mit regionalen Köstlichkeiten wartete auf uns. Wir haben uns auch sehr angenehm und lustig mit Francesca und Familie unterhalten und sie hat uns auch viele Ausflugsziele genannt, die wir als Familie besuchen könnten. Der Garten, also mitten im Weinberg, ist toll gelegen und die Aussicht auf Forte dei marmi ist großartig! Ich hätte mir vielleicht noch einen vernünftigen Sonnenschutz auf der kleinen Terrasse gewünscht, ich denke aber darüber kann man hinwegsehen. Es ist alles da, was man braucht um einen wunderschönen Toskana Urlaub zu verbringen. Danke an Francesca für diese schöne Zeit!

Toscana pur

Wir (Zwei Erwachsene und drei Kinder) waren 10 Tage zu Gast in dem tollen Haus in schönster Lage. Die Gastgeber haben uns am ersten Abend mit einem typischen italienischen Essen verwöhnt und wir durften den Wein aus eigenem Anbau probieren. Es war ein unvergesslicher Tag, baden im Pool, leckeres Essen, köstlicher Wein und tolle Gespräche. Francesca und Familie stehen einen immer mit gutem Rat zur Seite. In dem Ort unten am Berg haben wir das beste Eis gegessen und nebenan ist auch eine sehr gute Pizzeria, zu Fuß gut zu erreichen (ca.20 min). Wir haben jeden Tag in der Toscana bei schönstem Wetter genossen und würden sehr gerne mal wieder her kommen. Vielen Dank für alles Francesca! Lena, Kim und Kinder

Pleasant stay in wonderful surroundings

The property lies in a hill, with a great view. Short distance to shop, beach, restaurants and great sights. Small town like Pietrasanta 10 minutes by car. Lucca 40 minutes by car. The pool was great for the kids (and adults) in the warm Italian summer. Host and her family welcomed us with local foods and wine produced by their family, this was really a nice experience! House was clean, 3 floors, authentic Italian style equipped with all we needed. Towels for the pool, and for the shower. Toilet in first and third floor. Puzzles and games for the kids. Nice trail for hiking from the house, up to the top of the hill behind the house. Great stay!

A great time!

We had a very pleasant stay! The house is beautiful and has everything you need. The view from the property is amazing. We loved to come back to the house after a day out. The pool was nice with a spectacular view. The hosts were generous, friendly and helpful. We can absolutely recommend a stay here, and we hope to come back!

A fantastic long weekend in Tuscany

Francesca and her family were the absolute best hosts we have ever had in a VRBO. The house was in the perfect spot for our trips to the beach, a day in Lucca and a boat rental in La Spezia. Francesca helped make all of the reservations for the beach club (when everything was supposedly sold out!!) and two of the most unique and special restaurants. We never would have found them on our own but they were better than we could have imagined. If I could give the home 6 stars I would.

2 Wochen toskana

Schönes Haus mit fantastischer Aussicht aufs Meer. Francesca hat uns am ersten Abend mit Weinverkostung und leckeren toskanischen Spezialitäten verwöhnt. Nach Lucca ist es mit dem Auto ca. 30 min. Zum Meer ca 10-15 min. Bis auf die zahlreichen Moskitos ein schöner Urlaub.

Care makes you happy

Francesca is an amazing hostess, and the house was impeccable and charming and well equipped. Communication went very smoothly via WhatsApp and we stayed there at the end of august for three days. We enjoyed the views from the house, and the beach at Forte dei Marmi which you can reach in 10-15 minutes. Francesca and her family invited us generously for a beautiful dinner when we arrived, which we never experienced before whilst renting houses in Italy! She makes her own delicious wines, which are for sale, highly recommended! A very kind gesture was also to find some water, milk and yoghurts in the fridge and some eggs, bread and jam etc. or breakfast, all very thoughtful. It was special to see the vineyards and the sea from the kitchen. The swimming pool is nice to cool down in, but not really suited to swim your laps in. The house is on a hill, with great views. The terrain is quite steep, there is a car port for the car, it can require some manoeuvring for long cars. Thank you again Francesca!

Ferienhaus mit Meerblick in Traumlahe

Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub bei dem alles gepasst hat. Francesca hat uns mit einem tollen landestypischen Abendessen empfangen und ihren hervorragenden selbst hergestellten Wein probieren lassen. Der Pool und der Blick waren fantastisch, viele tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Toskana sind leicht zu erreichen.

Zuhause auf Zeit mit Wohlfühlgarantie

Unsere herzliche Gastgeberin Francesca begrüßte uns - 2 Erw., 3 Jugendliche 14-17- schon mit einem begeisternden toskanischen Abendmahl und hatte auch für alle weiteren Fragen bzgl. Weinanbau, Unternehmungen, Radverleih, freie Strände, passende Auflaufform.. stets ein offenes, geduldiges Ohr. Sie wäre sogar zu einem unvorhergesehenen Trip zum nahe gelegenen Bahnhof in aller Herrgottsfrühe bereit gewesen. Das Haus fand bei allen Anklang, was sowohl an der heimeligen Einrichtung, der best ausgestatteten Küche und der allgemeinen Sauberkeit als auch am traumhaft gelegenen Pool mit Blick über Weinberge und Ebene bis hin zum Meer lag. Nur der enge, an Kurven und Steigung reiche Weg zum Anwesen ließ den Fahrer manchmal fluchen🙃, die Beifahrer beten, die Radfahrerin japsen. Die Umgebung hatte auch in großer Hitze für verschiedene Bedürfnisse viel zu bieten: Marktausflüge nach Pietrasanta, Viareggio und Forte dei Marmi, die Erkundung von Lucca, Wanderung in den Bergen zu Wasserfällen, die freilich im Juli22 eher Rinnsale ähneln, und natürlich zahlreiche Besuche des Strandes von Forte dei Marmi. Zu unserer Freude gibt es im Dorf nach 15 Minuten Fußmarsch einen hervorragenden Bäcker, Konditor, Metzger, die obligatorische Bar für den morgendlichen Espresso, eine gute Pizzeria und eine gelateria, der man bis Mitternacht einen Besuch abstatten kann. Wir endeten unseren Urlaub mit Francesca und Familie beim Volksfest und waren untröstlich, der Villa Giovanna schon wieder den Rücken kehren zu müssen.

Eine außergewöhnlich freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberfamilie hat uns am Ankunftstag zu einem typisch toskanischen Essen und Wein eingeladen. Das Haus war wie beschrieben und sehr sauber. Man sollte fit sein, es geht über 3 Etagen. Toll auch der Pool, den man für sich alleine hat. Alles weiter zu empfehlen.

Erholsamer Aufenthalt in der Toskana

Fantastisch der Empfang durch das Vermieterehepaar, das uns mit einheimischen Spezialitäten und Wein aus dem eigenen Weinberg empfing. Das Haus war so, wie in der Anzeige beschrieben, der Pool sauber und stets gut gereinigt, die Eigentümer hilfsbereit und freundlich, wenn wir sie brauchten. Insgesamt: Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ein Oase der Ruhe & Herzlichkeit

Was soll man sagen… Ein Traum. Angefangen mit dem herzlichen Empfang durch die Vermieterin Francesca mit selbstgemachten Köstlichkeiten und Weinprobe. Was für ein unvergesslicher Abend! Das Haus sehr sauber, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet… einfach alles da… auch für den ersten Tag..danke Francesca für die Einkäufe… traumhafte Lage fernab vom Trubel. Super freundliche Gastgeber, schöner Ausblick, tolles Haus

Vielen Dank an Francesca und Emmanuele für den außergewöhnlich herzlichen Empfang. Das Essen am ersten Abend, der Wein, Grappa, Honig, Öl,... und alles aus dem eigenen Anbau. Einfach toll. Alles in allem eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft die alles bietet was man braucht. Tolle Lage, Ruhe, super Ausblick, Pool und absolute Hilfsbereitschaft und Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber.

Et fantastisk sted

Vores ophold i ferieboligen startede med at Fancesca og hendes famile bød os på en fantastisk velkomst middag, hvor vi smagte deres egen vin og grappa, sammen med smagsprøver af lokale delikatesser. Værtsparret er utroligt behagelige og hjælpsomme mennesker - en fornøjelse at være gæster hos. Huset har en fantastisk beliggenhed på bjergskråningen mellem oliventræer og vinmarker. Udsigten over byen og havet er enestående.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit tollem Blick

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus, die Vermietenden sind sehr nett, kümmern sich bei Fragen um alles und sind jederzeit erreichbar. Wir haben mit 5 Personen (18-55) hier einen sehr entspannten Urlaub verbracht. Obwohl es sehr heiss war, konnte man es am schönen Pool gut aushalten und unter den Olivenbäumen war immer ein schattiges Plätzchen zu finden, oft geht ein angenehmer Wind.

Super séjour en Toscane

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Francesca et Emmanuele qui nous ont réservé un super accueil. Hôtes très attentionnés qui nous ont offert le dîner le premier soir et avaient pris le soin de nous remplir le frigo pour le petit déjeuner. La maison a beaucoup de charme mais aussi beaucoup d'escaliers qui ne sont sans doute pas adaptés pour des enfants en bas âge ou des personnes âgées. Nous cela ne nous a pas dérangé. La localisation est un peu à l'écart mais ça permet d'avoir du calme, ça ne donne pas forcément très envie de sortir dîner dehors le soir mais nous étions contents de rester tranquilles. Bref, une super expérience pour se reposer en famille dans un lieu avec beaucoup de charme et une vue magnifique.

Ferien mit „Wohlfühlgarantie“

Der herzliche Empfang, die tolle Lage, der Ausblick vom Pool oder aus den Zimmern, das engagierte und liebevolle kümmern um uns Gäste…..Wir wissen nicht, wo wir anfangen sollten unseren Aufenthalt bei Francesca und Ihrer Familie zu beschreiben. Wir sind mit großer Vorfreude in diesen Urlaub gestartet und wurde nicht enttäuscht, unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Fantastische Gastgeber

Ein liebevoll herzlicher Empfang, eine stets hilfsbereite Gastgeberin Francesca und ein nicht minder herzlicher Gastgeber Emmanuele - was will man mehr im Urlaub? Das Haus befindet sich in einer tollen Lage mit Blick aufs entfernte Meer, der Pool ist super cool, die Ausstattung des Hauses komplett. Außergewöhnlich ist die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber: Wir kamen uns vor wie ein Teil der Familie - und das ist ein wunderschönes Gefühl.

Super Ferienhaus mit tollem Ausblick

Die Vermietrerin ist sehr freundlich und hat bereits im Vorfeld eine Nachricht geschrieben mit den wichtigsten Informationen zur Anreise. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die Lage auf einem Hang ist sehr idyllisch und mit einem herrlichen Ausblick über Forte dei Marmi zum Meer, einfach super und wie beschrieben. Das Haus wie auch das Hanggrundstück zwischen Olivenbäumen und Weinfeld waren sehr sauber und gepflegt. Von hier aus kann man gute Tagestouren (zwischen 30 und 60 Minuten fahrtzeit) nach u.a. Lucca, Pisa und auch Florenz unternehmen. Es gibt einen überdachten Stellplatz für das eigen Kfz. Absolutes Highlight ist der private Pool auch hier mit dem wirklich spektakulären Ausblick.
