About this property
East 38th Escape ~ 10 minutes to the lake
Whether you are coming back from an afternoon at Erie's picturesque Presque Isle, or cozying up on the couch during the snowy winter months, we are sure this brand new build will make your stay in Erie an extra special one!
Our cute little bungalow is conveniently located 1 mile from Mercyhurst university, 2.5 miles from the Erie zoo, and a 15 minute drive from Erie's Bayfront district. The property has undergone top to bottom renovations and is the perfect mix of style, comfort and charm.
Our home sits at the back of its lot off of East 38th St. It is a cozy, 660 square foot, single level bungalow, which we have spent the past few years renovating. The house has been designed with comfort and efficiency in mind, and no detail has been overlooked.
It is a unique little spot featuring a spa inspired bathroom with a rainfall shower system and large showering stall, two small bedrooms with comfortable beds and efficient closets, an open concept living area with exposed beams and natural lighting, and a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, a coffee counter and bar stool style seating.
In addition we have a newly installed deck right off the main entrance, which is great for summer evenings cookouts or afternoon hammock lounging.
Guest access
The utility room and a dry well (located in the corner of our back yard) are the only area's not accessible for our guests.
All other area's of the house and yard are available for your enjoyment!
Other things to note
Our cozy little home is located at the very back of its lot, the house itself therefore, is surrounded by our neighbors back yards. In the summer, the trees and foliage take over and block out a good portion of the neighboring houses. In the winter however the views are not as picturesque. All the windows in the house are therefore equipped with either blinds or curtains to help alleviate any privacy concerns.
In addition, 38th St. is one of the main thoroughfares and if spending time outside you will probably hear children playing, dogs occasionally barking and traffic noise.
We have done our best using soundproofing insulation in our home's walls, however sometimes traffic noise is still audible in the front bedroom. To alleviate issues for light sleepers, we have equipped the front bedroom with both a fan and a white noise machine. Please feel free to use either if noise is a concern.
We do have one security camera facing the driveway of our home. This is to monitor the safety and security of the property.
We do not allow pets or animals due to owner's extreme allergies (Sorry!). If this rule is violated we will charge a $500 deep cleaning fee plus damages.
