Unfortunate
I did not hear anything from the property owner after messaging and letting them know we had a late arrival. I called at 8pm to get check in info and was told they would meet us there and they didn't know until the day before they had a listing. If they knew the day before they should have contacted us. We found the rental at 9:30pm waited 45 min and called property owner. They answered and told us they would be there in 10 min. They never showed up. When we tried calling back there was no answer, twice. The property was unkept, spider webs all over the inside windows, beds had been used , trash was swept in front of the door. We were able to see this through the windpw. The property is private and has a beautiful view. No TV, no sitting besides some benches. Only a microwave and fridge to cook. We would have made it work. Not sure how someone can do something like that. Just leaving us hanging. Luckily a half hr away we found a hotel with a room. VRBO answered and we started the refund process at midnight. We were refunded. First time we had to deal with something like this.
